Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to 2025 Tasman District Council election. When you were adding content to the page, you added duplicate arguments to a template which can cause issues with how the template is rendered. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find these errors as they will display in yellow at the top of the page. Thanks. Voter turnout

I posted something about voter turnout. Maybe we need something about the Grey District Council election: "Something really exciting is happening in Grey District; they are way ahead of us at 21.5%." Schwede66 02:08, 27 September 2025 (UTC)

Auckland Mayoral Election 2025

I added a picture for the candidate "Simon Stam" to the page and you reverted the change. I am new to Wikipedia edits and I was wondering why you did this? NattJohn436 (talk) 07:00, 27 October 2025 (UTC)

likely copyright violation TheLoyalOrder (talk) 07:06, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
This is the photo from the election website which was provided by the candidate to the election commission. Is that subject of copy right? And would a reference of the photos origin fix that? NattJohn436 (talk) 07:26, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
all photographs are copyright from when they're created, new zealand has automatic copyright - belonging to whoever took the photo TheLoyalOrder (talk) 07:38, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
also local elections aren't run by the Electoral Commission, potentially the copyright belongs to Auckland Council but they don't usually freely license photos - see the terrible photos we have of Auckland councillors / the mayor TheLoyalOrder (talk) 07:39, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
I see, so would the candidate or is team have to provide a photo for this? And what would be a good way to verify that someone owns the copyright? NattJohn436 (talk) 08:21, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
well anyone who owns the copyright to a photo of them could supply a photo. unless there's been an agreement explicitly transferring copyright, copyright belongs to the photographer TheLoyalOrder (talk) 08:24, 27 October 2025 (UTC)

DYK for Bayden Barber

On 15 November 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Bayden Barber, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Bayden Barber (pictured), the chair of Ngāti Kahungunu, has supported establishing a parliament for Māori? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Bayden Barber. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Bayden Barber), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

@Sumanuil not a very helpful message, why did you undo my edit? I don't see any issues TheLoyalOrder (talk) 21:52, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
Because there is no article called "2025–2028 term of the Auckland Council", there wasn't a file called "2025-2028 Auckland council term political groups.svg" when you first added it, and "C&R" links to a disambiguation page. Using the preview, you would have seen that. Also, a source for the changes would have been nice. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 22:08, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
1. i didn't add the link to 2025-2028 term
2. i literally uploaded a file called that afterward
3. just fix the disambig link? why revert the whole edit, especially without giving a reason not very helpful
4. the information is pretty readily available see 2025 Auckland Council election, the info that was there wasn't directly sourced either TheLoyalOrder (talk) 22:14, 6 December 2025 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Boroughs of New Zealand, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Richmond Borough.
