Hi Tbrown2892! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Smoke Fairies that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Kj cheetham (talk) 16:32, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi KJ. Thanks for your comment about ‘minor edits’. I’ve taken these on board and will use this correctly in future.
- I also saw you have added a note in the article about ‘promoting the topic in a subjective way’. Sorry for that. I’ve made some further edits and removed the subjective wording. I hope this is now acceptable.
- Thanks for your guidance. Tbrown2892 (talk) 23:30, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Tbrown2892, it's better, but the last 3 paragraphs of the History section that article are still unsourced though. Please add appropriate references. -Kj cheetham (talk) 14:39, 11 January 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Serc group 400.JPG
edit
A tag has been placed on File:Serc group 400.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation and has no credible claim of non-free use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Ирука13 01:53, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. The image did belong to me, but it’s fine, I will not use it again. Regards Tony Brown Tbrown2892 (talk) 23:42, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:South eastern road club logo 600.jpg
edit
Thank you for uploading File:South eastern road club logo 600.jpg.
This file is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
While the file description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.
Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thanks again for your cooperation. — Ирука13 01:54, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for flagging this issue. I have removed the image from use, and it can be deleted. Regards Tony Brown. Tbrown2892 (talk) 23:38, 3 December 2025 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:SERC emblem 600.jpg
edit
Thanks for uploading File:SERC emblem 600.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Ways to improve Singles (Smoke Fairies album)
editHello, Tbrown2892,
Thank you for creating Singles (Smoke Fairies album).
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
Thank you for your email. I added that tag because I know how curmudgeonly some second-stage reviewers can be. In regards to your question: I have seen various concert tour wikipages over the years get closed or modified back down to draft pages due to use of setlist.fm mentions, so if you can find the setlist somewhere better, please do. (when you do, please remove the 'reliable source' tag.)
Also, when citing to Instagram, it is always helpful to include the description of whatever was in the caption where it currently just says "Instagram" in the references.
Other than those two little things, and potentially finding more sources reviewing the album (maybe this one: https://klofmag.com/2022/11/smoke-fairies-singles/ ?) or describing the song selection process if you can, this page is well-formatted, charting helps prove notability, and it highlights what it needs to. Cheers!
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Trainsskyscrapers}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Ways to improve Frozen Heart EP
editHello, Tbrown2892,
Thank you for creating Frozen Heart EP.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
More secondary coverage would be nice. Currently a single review is not enough to establish notability, all other references come directly from the Smoke Fairies or an anonymous blog.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Reconrabbit}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.
