trwiki and LLM-wielding user

Hey there, I saw that you're listed on WP:EMBASSY for Turkey and that you have a substantial amount of edits on trwiki. There's a user that has recently been identified as an LLM user and the cleanup is substantial. This user appears to be Turkish and is making edits on trwiki as well. Since I don't speak Turikish, I can't easily check for AISIGNS, but what I can tell are byte counts and timestamps of contributions. I don't know a whole lot about trwiki or how bad the LLM problem is over there, but looking at meta:Artificial intelligence/Policies by project it seems to be at least some concern about it. I'm not planning on wading into a community that I don't belong to, but should this be reported anywhere there and if so, could you help with that? ‑‑gurkubondinn 14:46, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi gurkubondinn! I haven't really been active on trwiki in the past couple of years. I do remember that machine translation was a big problem back then, so I wouldn't be surprised if AI-generated stuff is popular as well, especially given that they have even expanded the deletion policy to include it. It's best for you report this on the admins noticeboard, we've had many people reporting cross-wiki problems there before. While it looks inactive, many (non-)admins have it watchlisted, so you are most likely to get a response there. If I can have the username I can take a look as well. Hi Styyx and thanks for taking the time. Would it be fine to write in English on the trwiki noticeboard? I would prefer to not use a machine translation, that feels more invasive to me.

There are a couple of usernames, because some sockpuppetry has been involved;

• Sockpuppet (has not been active on trwiki): Sporwiki (talk · contribs)

As for this user, I won't be able to check thoroughly today but I can already see consecutive article creations within several minutes (eg. tr:Sophie Caverzan, tr:Marija Mičev, tr:Patrycja Zewar), so that's not a good sign I guess. ~Styyx^Talk? 17:26, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

Pehlivanmeydani gets double points for using LLM to create articles in English and then machine translate them into Turkish. I did not expect the trwiki community to be dead enough to make me comment there for the first time in 2 years. ~Styyx^Talk? 20:32, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
