–LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 10:31, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Hello (Gujarati television channels history) Here you have noted that Alpha TV Gujarati was the first GEC TV channel but it is not true.!! The first private Gujarati analog mode channel of Gujarati language "Yash Gujarati Channel" was launched in 1997 which broadcasted for 16 hours from Palapa C2 satellite 113* East which I tracked myself and closed in 1998, the second first digital free to air GEC Gujarati channel was "Gurjari TV" in 1999 which was a big hit in the beginning and closed in 2003, Alpha TV Gujarati was the third GEC channel which started in March 2000 and closed in 2009 as Zee Gujarati, the 4th GEC Tara TV Gujarati started in 2001 and closed in 2002, the 5th GEC "E TV Gujarati" started in 2002 and was rebranded as Colors Gujarati in 2015 which is still running. And recently, Lakshmi TV Gujarati has started from the 6th Gujarati GEC on 14.4.2026. Request you to add this Gujarati language television channel to the history so that the readers get the correct information.

Updates for editors
- The Reader Experience team is conducting an experiment to show the reading lists feature, which is still in development, to logged-out mobile readers to test whether it encourages account creation at a higher rate compared to the watchstar button. The experiment was launched on May 18th on German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Dutch, Turkish, and Urdu wikis, and it will run for a month.
- The Wikimedia Apps team released Phase 1 of the redesigned Home Feed to the Android Beta app. The new Home Feed includes a refreshed "Community" tab and a personalized "For You" tab featuring daily updated reading recommendations. The redesign is part of a broader effort to improve content discovery and create more engaging learning experiences in the Wikipedia apps.
View all 18 community-submitted tasks that were resolved last week. For example, an issue where images could fail to load for some suggested edits on Special:Homepage, leaving the thumbnail stuck in a loading state, has now been fixed.

Question from ArtPageEditor (09:35, 27 May 2026)
Hi, nice to meet you! I am about to create a draft for a bio page and will appreciate your opinion, if possible? --ArtPageEditor (talk) 09:35, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
- ArtPageEditor, I'm not sure how you expect me to give an opinion when you haven't told me what the subject you want to write about is. — Qwerfjkltalk 11:19, 27 May 2026 (UTC)

- ArtPageEditor, looks okay at a glance. You should make sure it satisfies either the specific notability guidelines for artists and other creative professionals, or the general notability guidelines; it doesn't seem to at the moment. — Qwerfjkltalk 19:45, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you. The article was initiated and developed following Wikipedia’s guidance on notability and based on his undeniable accomplishments. ArtPageEditor (talk) 06:14, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- @ArtPageEditor, it seems to rely a bit heavily on primary sources, and as I said before, I don't see a clear indication it has notability - what exactly do you think in the article shows the subject is notable? Qwerfjkltalk 10:26, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

Feature request for mass TfD
When using massXFD.js to create a bulk TfD nomination, automatically add a link in the section header if the title matches a nominated template. I believe the script already does this for CfD. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 22:53, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- Also, when opening Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2026_May_12#Template:U.S._current_election_editnotice, the script ran into an issue where the main template, Template:U.S. current election editnotice, is template-protected and couldn't be tagged. This can be alleviated by filing an edit request at talk pages of protected nominees. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 22:56, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- LaundryPizza03, I'll have a look on the weekend. — Qwerfjkltalk 13:27, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- LaundryPizza03, re filing an edit request, I suppose something like Template talk:Discussion bottom#Edit request to complete TfD nomination 2 would be good?
Also, I don't think the script links the title if it matches a nominated page for cfd (at least, I don't remember ever programming that in). — Qwerfjkltalk 16:30, 22 May 2026 (UTC)- You're right, it is not part of CfD. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 16:51, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from Muffinbutt1985 (01:09, 3 June 2026)
One of my articles got taken down by someone who is accusing me of using an LLM to write it and I tried to resubmit it and was told no, this isn’t accepted cause an LLM was used to write it. That is not true! I have never used AI/LLM to write anything in my entire life; I have always done my own writing. How do I fix this? I did NOT use an LLM. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Muffinbutt1985?markasread=348501968&markasreadwiki=enwiki#c-SomeoneDreaming-20260603010500-Your_submission_at_Articles_for_creation:_Sahra_Ali_Mehenni_(June_3) --Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 01:10, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- The person claimed to find evidence of “AI hallucinations” when no, they just didn’t read the sources properly. The article had been up for awhile without issue before they accused of me using AI and took it down. Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 01:14, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- So I went and double checked every source on that article and everything is correct. But I’m afraid if I resubmit it will get removed again as being AI since nothing about it has really changed. I spent hours researching and writing that article and idk how to convince reviewers it’s not AI.
- If I just post the article myself and bypass the whole drafts/review thing will I get in trouble? Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 11:06, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- Muffinbutt1985, this looks like it has been sorted out on your talk page (after you posted this here):
... Unfortunately, we've been dealing with a lot of AI-written articles, and sometimes that spills over onto uninvolved editors like yourself. Thank you for your hard work in double checking those sources--it's very important that our sourcing is correct for BLP articles. I will be returning your article to mainspace shortly.
(@SomeoneDreaming). And the article itself is at Sahra Ali Mehenni, in mainspace. Hope this helps. — Qwerfjkltalk 13:25, 3 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from WWHFM (20:20, 2 June 2026)
Hello! I am in Marketing with Wonders & Worries and need to submit some much needed edits to our Wikipedia page. What is the process to submit updates? --WWHFM (talk) 20:20, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
- WWHFM, there are a few things you need to do. Your username may not be acceptable per Wikipedia:Username policy#Usernames implying shared use; I can only assume the WW in your username refers to Wonders & Worries. If your username breaks Wikipedia's username policies, you should abandon this account and create a new account with an appropriate username. You can reply here on the new account if you want.
As someone who is being paid to edit Wikipedia, you need to disclose your conflict of interest. There are instructions to do so at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#Paid editors.
You can use the Edit Request Wizard for making the actual edit request. — Qwerfjkltalk 13:34, 3 June 2026 (UTC)- For clarity: If the "HFM" part is your initials or something else that's unique to you, then your username is fine. If it instead means something like "Wonders & Worries Hired For Marketing", then that's a problem. We don't allow group/team accounts, and if you quit, your account can't be given to the next person who gets your job. WhatamIdoing (talk) 17:06, 3 June 2026 (UTC)

Comment/question: It produced false positives for both of them-the dates are correct. The dates are correct.
~2026-26787-65 (talk) 17:11, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
- ~2026-26787-65, you missed out the day when adding the date for both of them. — Qwerfjkltalk 19:32, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
- You can't supply a "day" for a monthly publication.
- The problem here is that the CS1 maintainers have decided that the ISO-compliant YYYY-MM format is not to be allowed in the templates, because "2001-02" could be a sports season (i.e., running from the year 2001 through the year 2002) instead of February 2001. Consequently, they are demanding that thousands of editors manually "correct" non-ambiguous YYYY-MM dates such as 2018-12 and 2020-11 when they are supplied by template-filling tools.
- I suggest that you don't have your bot warn people about misformatted dates. WhatamIdoing (talk) 16:55, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- @WhatamIdoing, okay. Special:Diff/1357620578 should help, though it might take some time for the change to take effect. Qwerfjkltalk 17:52, 3 June 2026 (UTC)

Comment/question: The date range 12th century to 19th century is as supplied by the National Archive as metadata. This is presumably useful to know. The only way to fix it would be to delete the field. As on a previous occcasion, my comment is that I don't need a User talk notification for such things. Charles Matthews (talk) 08:17, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
Charles Matthews (talk) 08:17, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
- Charles Matthews, this appears to be an unusual situation. You would have to ask at Help talk:CS1 or the MOS talk page for how to format it, I have no idea. If you don't want to receive notifications from the bot, there are opt-out instructions on the bot's userpage. — Qwerfjkltalk 11:18, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
- So, you have no idea, and the onus is on me to have one? About par for the course with bot operators. It's an edge case and you actually show no interest. Charles Matthews (talk) 11:31, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
- Charles Matthews, please, there's no need for that. The CS1 template flagged it as an error and my bot reported that. I don't control how errors are flagged; that's done in the CS1 module. I'm not sure whether this is a date format the template actually supports, so I merely suggested you ask people who are more knowledgeable than I. — Qwerfjkltalk 11:54, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
- Not impressed. Charles Matthews (talk) 05:24, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
- You could stop having the bot report date "errors".
- @Charles Matthews, the template will accept "c. 12th century to 20th century". The "c." is important, and I think it's also necessary to use "to" instead of a hyphen. WhatamIdoing (talk) 17:03, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- I'm downstream of the whole business. When something two steps upstream of me is the issue, why is the reaction that I should something? There is a proliferation here on enWP of linter bots and template-based automation. I've just had another User talk message from someone with a semi-automated pipeline for catching cleanup. My point is, with numerous people devoted to single issues in wikitext and/or cleanup, the attitude that those actually writing the encyclopedia have to somehow fit in should be treated as blinkered. See User:Charles Matthews#Mentalities for my restrained comments.
- Scrolling up past {{ivmbox}} on User talk:Charles Matthews you get to the message that invites me to report a false positive. This case is a false positive: the hyphenated form should be allowed by the CS1 template. It should not be my job to escalate that issue, but the bot operator's. GIGO implies that. Charles Matthews (talk) 11:13, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
- No idea why you (and WhatamIdoing) are still complaining about the bot highlighting a clear error, which I corrected then. The date of that website is not "12th to 20th century" no matter how you write it to avoid the error: the 12th to 20 th century is the date of the materials in the archive for which this is a website, and you didn't even use these materials for that reference, you used the description from the website. The 1956 date in the article was soourced to something written in the late 20th c or presumably the 21st century, but undated. It's like when you cite something from a book: the "date" field is not for the period covered by that book, but for the date or year he book was published.
- Please stop badgering the bot operator for what is your own error. Fram (talk) 11:30, 4 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from Muffinbutt1985 (17:01, 4 June 2026)
Another question: I cleaned up the entry for Tareq Kamleh which was kind of a train wreck before, but now there's error messages at the bottom I can't figure out how to get rid of. How do I fix those? Is there a link to an instruction page you can give me, cause I couldn't find one myself. --Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 17:01, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
- Muffinbutt1985, the errors themselves link to two information pages. The error is caused by the fact that there are references defines in the References section that aren't used anywhere in the article; to fix the errors you can remove the reference, or ideally you would add them back into the article. — Qwerfjkltalk 17:48, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
