Why did you remove the G15 tag?

edit

Hi, why did you remove the WP:G15 that I had applied to Titra Alpin? The page meets the G15 criteria. --Gurkubondinn 11:13, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

This is a new page landed recently and you put G15 deletion tag. I love to improve new pages insted of deleting them and i am doing this currently and i will make this article ready for main space as i put the under construction tag. Qshilks (talk) 11:20, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yes, G15 only applies to new pages. But if you are taking responsibility for this and doing a complete rewrite that is fine with me. But that is no different from deleting the existing page and the rewriting it, because you have to remove all of the AI-generated text anyway. But if this is something that you enjoy doing, then by all means please do it :) I would suggest moving it to draft space first, and then working on it there though. What do you think of that? --Gurkubondinn 11:23, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yes. I'm doing my best to remove entire LLM text and rewrite it. Qshilks (talk) 11:28, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Cool, thank you for investing the time and effort to clean this up! --Gurkubondinn 11:46, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
You can make a look to the article (MORE IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED). Qshilks (talk) 11:52, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Notability and Julian Reade

edit

Hello @Qshilks, and many thanks for delving into the new page Julian Reade. Quite understandably you put 2 tags on this, notability and peacock. Peacock I think I've dealt with, but by all means let me know if anything is still glaring at you. This academic has had a page on German wikipedia for around 8 months and the English got translated over word for word from there earlier this week. The German version, written by an antiquities specialist, was indeed over promotional in tone, so thanks for flagging that. For notability, I think that's more subjective, but I've put some additional content (book reviews mainly, also Reade's work on the mystery tomb in Ur) so I wonder if you could have another look at these updates? My argument would be that under WP:NACADEMIC there are grounds under criteria 1, 3, 6 and 7, given he has an h-index of 48, but I guess that there are arguments against that. There is another source which hasn't been "mined" yet, the Festschrift, which has about a dozen academics talking about Reade and his work, but that's not a quick job to complete. Have the changes so far made enough of a dent in your notability concerns? ChrysGalley (talk) 08:50, 20 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

You have done good work by removing PROMO text and you are welcome to improve the remaining tag Wikipedia:Notability. When it done you can remove the tag but currently this article is not looking notable enough to me. Thank you for your contributions. Qshilks (talk) 06:49, 21 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Speedy Deletion of Maphra

edit

Dear Qshilks, I'd like to kindly ask you to visit Talk:Maphra and answer to my arguments pertaining your speedy deletion claim. Please delete the claim for speedy deletion from the articles page afterwards. Regarding WP:SIGNIFICANCE, you will find that the tag WP:A7 does not apply in this case because the article specifically mentions the ranking in Billboard charts which alone is a criterion of notability (see WP:Singer). Significance also arises from the recognition of the singer by several internationally regarded music magazines (see references).

Hi Qshilks. Thank you for your work on Yami Gautam filmography. Another editor, Mariamnei, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thank you for your work on this article. While the article is entitled "Yami Gautam filmography", the article is almost completely about Yami Gautam herself. Also, since this falls under WP:BLP, please also add footnotes to the biography section. Thanks and have a good day!

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Mariamnei}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
