Hello, I'm Destroyeraa-alt. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Hurricane Nicholas, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Where did you get the 700M damage total? Destroyer (Alternate account) 17:49, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
was found a few days ago but was changed to unknown for some reason so i re-added it but therefore i clearly dont know OrzonYT (talk) 18:16, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
Barbara
editYou can also using Tropical Tidbits, it is official winds too, if you don't trust me, you can check NHC bulletin information later, it's actually the same winds and pressures.
Such as Barbara is upgraded into a cat-1 hurricane by Tropical Tidbits before NHC upgraded it. MAS0802 15:56, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
- i was completely unaware

Welcome to the WPTC!
editHi there OrzonYT, welcome to the tropical cyclone WikiProject. I notice you've made a fair number of edits, so it seems like you know the basics. I wondered if you have any questions about Wikipedia's TC coverage, how it works, and also if you have any projects you'd like to work on. I've been working on Hurricane Camille lately for example. Cheers, and hope to see you around. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 16:05, 10 September 2025 (UTC)

editHi how do you take the cyclone pictures? I'm screenshotting NASA ESODIS but I don't know if there's a standardized size or resolution or what settings/layers I should change HurricaneZeta (talk) 16:16, 12 September 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Tropical Cyclones im currently tracking
editHello, ZonResearcher,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Mariamnei, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Tropical Cyclones im currently tracking, for deletion, because it is a very short article that doesn't provide readers with enough context to determine who or what the subject is.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Mariamnei}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hurricane Delta infobox image
editHi there, I see you're in a bit of an edit war. There have been lots of discussions and reverting over the main image for Hurricane Delta, but the consensus seems to be that the preferred image is when the storm looked its best, not necessarily when it was at its strongest. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:21, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
Florence image
editHey there ZonResearcher. I saw your edit on the 2018 AHS page. So Columbia has retired, but I do kinda agree with the other image. This one that you put in just looks fuzzy, compared to the other one that has the top-right clipped. So is there maybe a third image that's clear but doesn't have any weird clipping? Hope you're doing well! ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:43, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
- hello, so I looked back at the image that I put in for florence's infobox, you do have a point about that image looking fuzzy, I'm guessing thats just how it was generated from AWS S3 Explorer when WxResearcher was making it idk. there is a third version that I've gotten from NASA Worldview 2 months ago that can be found here, and also I'm doing fine ^^ ZonResearcher (talk) 19:25, 29 April 2026 (UTC)

- The alt one is better, but the old one has the clearest looking eye, IMO. You can kinda see the swirls in the middle of the eye. Are there any other alternatives that have a clear eye, and without that weird thing on the top-right? Not a huge deal either way, thanks for trying to improve things, and I'm glad you're well! ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 19:30, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
- Oh! What about zooming in a bit on the image with Florence’s best presenting eye, to cut out the glitchy part on the top right? Hurricanehink mobile (talk) 21:49, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
- i'll see if that makes a difference ZonResearcher (talk) 14:40, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- how does this look?

- I think the eye looks best in that one. The downside is you can't see land too well. But still, I think it's better, thanks for doing it. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:58, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
