I advise you to explore your sources better; it is very unlikely that both Maurice Kouandété and Jean-Baptiste Hachème served as Chairman of the Revolutionary Committee simultaneously on 20 – 21 December 1967. Bare URLs

In the future, when you add a reference containing URL link to an article, make sure to avoid adding them as bare URLs, in order to avoid link rot. Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Ampera Cabinet when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Bare URLs as citations

edit

Information icon Hello! Thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia, and in particular for adding references, as you did to Societal breakdown in the Gaza Strip during the Gaza war! However, adding a bare URL is not ideal, and exposes the reference to link rot. It is preferable to use proper citation templates when citing sources, including details such as title, author, date, and any other information necessary for a bibliographic citation. Here's an example of a full citation using the {{cite web}} template to cite a web page:

Lorem ipsum<ref>{{cite web |title=Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac |publisher=Canon Inc |work=Ask a Question |date=2022 |url=https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART174839 |access-date=2022-04-02}}</ref> dolor sit amet.

which displays inline in the running text of the article as:

Lorem ipsum[1] dolor sit amet.

and displays under References as:

  1. ^ Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac". Ask a Question. Canon Inc. 2022. Retrieved 2022-04-02.

If you've already added one or more bare URLs to an article, there are tools available to expand them into full citations: try the Citer tool, or in the wikitext editor, try the reFill tool, and in the Visual Editor, the reference dialog can convert some bare urls into a full citation. I have tagged the bare URLs in the article for clean-up, so others can find them. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 21:07, 13 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Minor edits

edit

Information icon Hi MarketFruit! I noticed that you recently made an edit and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you.

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Jay8g [VTE] 03:00, 20 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Minor edits

edit

I've noticed that quite a few of your edits have been tagged as "minor", despite not being so. Per WP:ME a minor edit is a change in which no other user could disagree with. Any sort of edit that changes the meaning of the content is not a minor edit, such as these , , . If you are unsure if an edit should be tagged as minor or not simply don't tag it, as said at WP:ME, it is perfectly acceptable to never tag an edit as minor. edit

I saw that you tagged this edit as minor despite adding content. As per WP:ME "Adding or removing content in an article" is something that should not be tagged as minor. As I have previously told you "it is perfectly acceptable to never tag an edit as minor" and suggest that you do so if you are confused about what constitutes a minor edit. Who is Iran's head of state: Supreme leadership authority v. presidency.

edit

Hello,

You mentioned wanting to call a census on my recommended changes to the infobox and intro concerning Iran's supreme leader. This has already been discussed on the talk page and is frankly already settled in terms of available evidence. But if you want to convene interested parties to formally conclude this process, that can be done. Let me know.

This was my contribution to the discussion:

Many nations do not operationally define their preeminent constitutional officers as the head of state. This is especially true among states with older constitutions, those states where the prevailing system of government isn't a parliamentary democracy (e.g., presidential republics in the Americas), or regimes where the established constitutional order doesn't operate in the usual democratic paradigm occupied by contemporary sovereign states. In the case of Iran, the latter applies: it is constitutionally a theocracy, not a representative democracy. The president is Iran's head of state, not the supreme leader. But the presidency is ultimately subject to the oversight of the supreme leader, who take precedence over all other public officials domestically.

Remember, to be head of state is a function - not an actual office. Per Watts & Foakes (2023) in Oxford Public International Law, a head of state is merely the highest functionary of a sovereign state, with the exclusive right to represent their respective state internationally in all matters concerning international law. Thus, it falls to heads of state to accredit ambassadors abroad, receive the credentials of foreign diplomats, and both pay and accept state visits. Likewise, it also falls to heads of state to sign instruments of ratification, thereby giving full legal effect to treaties. All four of these responsibilities are explicitly conferred on the president by Articles 125 and 128 of the Iranian constitution. Likewise, the international community - including the United Nations and its affiliated organizations - recognizes the president as Iran's head of state.

So, I think we can settle this matter once and for all: the president is indeed Iran's head of government and de jure head of state. However, the supreme leader is the highest political and religious authority of the Iranian state, exercising plenary control and supervision over all aspects of public business, be they legislative, executive, or judicial. The supreme leader is conferred this absolute power by the Islamic Republic constitution in order to guarantee the continuity and stability of the established authoritarian regime. Both this Wikipedia article and the article concerning the Iranian presidency need to be updated to reflect this constitutional reality. Mcvayn (talk) 18:25, 12 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

If there already was one than change it back.👍🏻 MarketFruit (talk) 18:26, 12 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to post-1978 Iranian politics, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Benin

edit

As far as I can see in the source that you found, Maurice Kouandété is listed as serving from 17 until 21 December 1967; Jean-Baptiste Hachème isn't even mentioned there, so he shouldn't even be in the list. The source may be Société de radio et de télévision du Bénin, but it could still contain errors and be unreliable. — Sundostund mppria (talk / contribs) 18:52, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Heinrich Brüning

edit

Hello, I manually reverted your edits to Heinrich Brüning for a number of reasons:

1) The added text isn’t integrated with the rest of the article: Hilferding isn't mentioned anywhere else in the article, so shouldn't be in the lead; the gold standard has nothing to do with a possible cabinet reshuffle.

2) The English is substandard, especially in "Rise in politics". I don't really understand what you're trying to say.

3) The footnotes don't conform to Wikipedia standards.

I would also point out the following:

1) I see on your talk page that you've been asked several times to enter edit summaries, yet you still aren't using them. They're important to other page watchers in helping them understand the nature of your changes.

2) Please don't update an article multiple times like you did here. It's hard to figure out what you did when there are so many overlapping updates (and no edit summaries). You should be using your sandbox to work in until you’re satisfied with your edits.

Cheers, GHStPaulMN (talk) 11:52, 26 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for reminding me. MarketFruit (talk) 20:07, 26 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

April 2026

edit

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Jeonju Kim clan when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Thank you. You have shown interest in the Syrian Civil War and ISIL. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

Additionally, the following restriction(s) apply to this topic area:

  • All articles in this topic area are under WP:1RR (a limit of one revert per editor per article per 24-hour period). When in doubt, assume an edit is related and so is a revert. Clear vandalism of whatever origin may be reverted without restriction. Reverts of edits made by unregistered temporary accounts that are not vandalism are exempt from 1RR but are subject to the usual rules on edit warring. Editors who otherwise violate this 1RR restriction may be blocked without warning by any uninvolved administrator, even on a first offence.

Please add timeline to Gaza strip under Hamas

edit

hey there,

This article requires eztended confirmed users and I want to add a timeline template to the Leaders of Hamas in Gaza strip section. Could you help please? Thank you!

Timeline error. Could not store output files

Diei3icns (talk) 23:03, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Can do, I will fix somethings on the list before. MarketFruit (talk) 23:06, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Since 16 October 2024, there are technically two "leadership" idk how to call it one is based in Qatar while the other is in Gaza. MarketFruit (talk) 23:20, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
So maybe Based in Qatar and Based in Gaza would be better than past and present. MarketFruit (talk) 23:21, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
easy explanation. Hamas has a diplomatic bureau with Hayyad and Khaled, in Qatar, but only 4 militants (Haniyeh, Sinwar, Sinwar, Haddad) are Hamas leader in the Gaza strip. A 5th is not yet selected. Diei3icns (talk) 23:24, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
al-Hayya is acting Chief of the Political Bureau of Hamas in the Gaza Strip though. MarketFruit (talk) 23:27, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
different position. My timeline indicates only the Leader of Hamas in the Gaza strip. Only 4 of them. Khalil should not be in that list unless he is confirmed to assume the 5th in that position Diei3icns (talk) 23:28, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
As I know the "Leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip" is just another name for the Chief of the Political Bureau of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. MarketFruit (talk) 23:30, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
the Leader of Hamas in the Gaza strip is the local leader in the strip. 4 guys had that position. Chied of the political bureau is not that, its separate. Diei3icns (talk) 23:31, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Ah, thanks will change it. MarketFruit (talk) 23:32, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
The deputies of the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip mentioned in the list are also referred as Deputy Chief of the Political Bureau of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, but idk. MarketFruit (talk) 23:32, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I am not adept beyond the Leader in the strip. I made the timeline to add because it concerns the primary target of Israel in Hamas. Diei3icns (talk) 23:33, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
my timeline will clarify and highlight who is in charge in Gaza for Hamas. I recommend putting it right in the section for Gaza strip leaders. Diei3icns (talk) 23:59, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I fixed everything. MarketFruit (talk) 00:00, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Is my timeline there? Diei3icns (talk) 00:03, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Will add it now. MarketFruit (talk) 00:04, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
The confusing came up because the two first leader of the Hamas in Gaza Strip had the position as Chairman of the Political Bureau in the Gaza Strip. Added note to the list. MarketFruit (talk) 00:04, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
You know the Supreme Leader of Iran page? I try to emulate that in this. Diei3icns (talk) 00:05, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! Diei3icns (talk) 00:06, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
If you want you can also create a timeline for the Head of government, Head of state and Chairman timelines. MarketFruit (talk) 00:52, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yea. MarketFruit (talk) 00:08, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
These two sources: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/gaza-hamas-election-leader-palestine-israel-b2977416.html and https://www.aol.com/articles/hamas-leader-helped-plan-oct-105031000.html both claim that Khalil al-Hayya is now the de facto leader of the Gaza Strip. The Brilliant Idea Barnstar
Nice idea and start for Draft:Territory of the Kachin Independence Army and Draft:Territory of the Arakan Army..! Plus pretty good work in People's Government of Kokang and 2026 Kutkai offensive! Thanks for contribution in Myanmar civil war articles overall. WinKyaw (talk) 17:19, 26 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much. Do you maybe know if the Kachin State Special Region 2 was dissolved? MarketFruit (talk) 18:16, 26 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I guess it might be still alive, but not so effective. Region 1 was dissolved. WinKyaw (talk) 18:35, 26 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I think it too, the Territory of the Kachin Independence Army get's called the name, however I think it's probably the same case as with the Kokang Special Region. MarketFruit (talk) 18:37, 26 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
