Question from WaardeMedeburgers (20:22, 3 June 2026)
editCan I use Dutch for my edit summaries on English Wikipedia? (Kan ik Nederlands gebruiken voor mijn bewerkingssamenvattingen?) I also speak English. --WaardeMedeburgers (talk) 20:22, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- @WaardeMedeburgers: I'm not aware of any specific policies or guidelines that explicitly say not to do this, but I would personally recommend against it. For instance, while not explicitly covering edit summaries, the talk page guidelines note that "This is the English-language Wikipedia; discussions should normally be conducted in English", and I would find it reasonable to apply this principle to edit summaries as well. - Got it, I'll use English on talk pages and edit summaries on English Wikipedia. I also edit Dutch Wikipedia, and will use Dutch there. I'll still use Dutch on my homepage and sandbox. Ik blijf Nederlands gebruiken op mijn homepage en sandbox. WaardeMedeburgers (talk) 14:46, 4 June 2026 (UTC)

There's a nice automatic suggestion for where links might be helpful. Is there anything like that for copy editing? --Idacticus (talk) 19:37, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Idacticus: If you're referring to your homepage, then yes: under "Suggested edits", click the current suggested difficulty level (e.g. "Easy edits"), then tick the box for "Copyedits" and save. Tol (talk | contribs) @ 17:12, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
- Right, but the links suggestions show you where there might be an applicable link. Is there something in the copyedits that shows you where to fix spelling, grammar, etc.? Idacticus (talk) 16:55, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Idacticus: Not to my knowledge. Copy-edits are generally suggested to take place over an entire page or section thereof — look for the Template:Copy edit message. Tol (talk | contribs) @ 05:37, 9 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi, I wanted your guidance for following: 1. I am encountering many pages with a lot of content without citation. In such cases, should I remove the information? or place a [citation needed] or find the citation? 2. I just came across the page Idan Rubin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idan_Rubin). The subject doesn't seem to fulfill Notability. What should I do with such pages? Thanks. --AAARC (talk) 18:00, 11 June 2026 (UTC)

- The relevant policy is verifiability, which details when uncited content should be removed, as well as the extent of citation required.
- You could nominate the page for deletion.
Is there a page with all the acronyms/initialisms everyone uses? --Idacticus (talk) 04:59, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
