Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Walter Trengof, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Thomas Clare. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:56, 4 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

IMO and edge case regarding notability but I'm marking it as reviewed. Needs sources and additions with in-depth prose content. Happy editing!

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Results of the 1912 Tasmanian local elections moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Results of the 1912 Tasmanian local elections. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because It's too incomplete to warrant inclusion in the main space; it's best to build in draft space, then move when ready.. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Klbrain (talk) 18:45, 14 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Andrew Braddock (politician) when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 05:13, 10 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Hello, I'm Doniago. I noticed that you added or changed "in popular culture" content in an article, Arabian riff, but you didn't provide a reliable secondary source. On Wikipedia, it's important that all "in popular culture" article content be supported by a source that verifies not just the existence of the popular culture reference, but also its significance to the article's subject. If you'd like to resubmit your change with an appropriate citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Australian LGBTQ right-wing politicians

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Australian LGBTQ right-wing politicians indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 06:33, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
