Hi!! Thank you very much for the welcome.
I'm trying to get the rest of team Grattan set up with wiki pages as well as add some photos to my dads already existing one (Andy McCann). Was just wondering how I would go about that and if there is a verification process that I must go through before publishing a full page? If you could help me out with some insight on that it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again for the warm welcome!!!
All the best,
Kohen Kohenmccann5 (talk) 22:33, 27 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
I'd encourage you to give this help page on writing your first article a readthrough to get an idea of what the community's expectations would be. When I'm writing a new article, I personally prefer to work on it in the draft namespace at first before it's ready to be published as an article, which is super easy to do when it's ready to go. When you're ready to start writing, you can use the Article Wizard to get started. Hope that helps! Happy editing! OhKayeSierra (talk) 22:41, 27 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi! Much appreciate the information, this was very helpful and I appreciate you saving me from possibly getting caught up in a situation like that, but I am more or less just looking to add the photos of Andy that I took myself to his page, they are not licensed by a professional company but they belong to me as they were taken on my professional camera and edited by me, is there any way that I can add these photos to his profile? Kohenmccann5 (talk) 23:19, 27 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Kohenmccann5, you can upload the photos to Commons (but be aware that this means that anyone else in the world can use those photos). Once you've done that, you can make an edit request to add the images to the article. WP:ERW makes that a bit easier. -- asilvering (talk) 02:37, 28 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
