The article for Andrew Jordan is still under review. I have asked Ldm1954 to take a look at it, but I haven't received a response yet.
Could you please assist with the review?
Regards, Johnwilliamsiii (talk) 23:06, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
Hi Johnwilliamsiii, hope you're well, thanks for your message. Looking at Draft:Andrew N. Jordan I see it is in the queue, but the backlog is quite large, so you may want to wait a few weeks for an AFC reviewer to take a look - I don't do AFC reviews myself. They are often not done in any particular order either. The article looks to be in a better state than it was before, but I'm still not convinced the subject is sufficiently notable, so it's not something I'd want to spend more time on really. You might want to ask at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Biography/Science and academia or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Physics/Taskforces/BPH, but I don't know if many people pay attention on those pages very often. -Kj cheetham (talk) 19:55, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for the speedy deletions!

Hi there, I currently serve as a mentor, and one of my mentees, MadRealname133isGy, has the following text on their user page: I sincerely apologize for Kj Cheetham. I am formerly Realname133. which leads me to believe they might be Realname133, a user you have blocked recently. randomdude12104:11, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
I am revising the content to remove promotional language and add independent sources.
Could the draft be restored so I can improve it? Thank you!
We are in process to update our Wikipedia page after several years by a lôt of changing and new information. This draft is still in process of updating and we would like to put that draft on Talk to let other users contributing after having completing information. Alicecaoalso (talk) 07:48, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
Alicecaoalso, thank you for your message. Firstly, please ensure you respond to the message left on your talk page at User_talk:Alicecaoalso#March_2026 regarding disclosing paid editing. Secondly, I'm not willing to undelete that page, as it was clearly promotional. Please be aware what Wikipedia considers to be promotion is quite broad, see WP:YESPROMO. You may also wish to look at WP:BOSS. Technically no Wikipedia page is "yours". If you wish to propose edits to pages where you have a conflict of interest, please propose the specific changes on the article's talk page as per WP:COIEDIT, but you still need to disclose any paid editing first. Thank you. -Kj cheetham (talk) 11:33, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
It is technically possible to recover it, but I'm not going to as it is promotional and not encyclopedic material. Please respond to the message on your talk page regarding paid editing and disclosure your connection to Al-Jazeera telecom. Thank you. -Kj cheetham (talk) 11:03, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
Wikipedia is not the place to promote your organisation. Did you look at the page I just linked to (WP:BOSS)? I am not willing to recover the page you put together, so please don't ask me again as you'll just get the same answer. -Kj cheetham (talk) 11:32, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

The committee thanks the editors who participated in the consultation.
Additionally, at their request, the checkuser and oversight permissions of Giraffer(talk·contribs) are removed. The Arbitration Committee sincerely thanks Giraffer for their service as a checkuser and oversighter.

Hey @Kj cheetham, hope you are doing well. I was unsure how to properly set up a CoI edit request, so I added the appropriate tag to the talk page of Talk:India Research Watch. When you have a moment, could you please take a look? I would really appreciate it. Flyingphoenixchips (talk)
Flyingphoenixchips Thank you for your message! It looks like you did make the request properly, and I assume you're already seen WP:EDITXY. At a glance the request looks reasonable, but I don't tend to implement edit requests myself. It's in a queue with a backlog, and an editor will get to it in due course. Thank you for your contributions. -Kj cheetham (talk) 18:05, 31 March 2026 (UTC)

Vanderwaalforces I got an extra one since your message too. (-: I probably spent more time on NPP in Jan-Feb this year than I did the whole of last year - definitely needed a rest afterwards! -Kj cheetham (talk) 12:36, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
Following a motion, the GSCASTE extended-confirmed restriction in the Indian military history case has been narrowed. It now applies to caste-related topics in South Asia, and the preemptive protection remedy has been amended accordingly.

Hi @Kj cheetham, A few days ago I got a notification that you have reviewed my article. Thank you very much for that. But I see that, it is taken back to draft space. Did I make any mistakes? What should have been done? Please guide me. Will this article be accepted, or it is already accepted?
Quick question: I'm making my rounds through new articles, and I just came across Alex Sim whose author was banned for sockpuppetry. Is there any action that should be taken on the article?
I haven't run across this before. They seem to have been banned immediately after the article was published.
Hi, thanks for your message! I'm just about to go offline and haven't looked at the timings of things, but WP:G5 is a potential option. -Kj cheetham (talk) 23:04, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
I'll look through it! Thank you!
Also - (not to hold you up from logging off) but not sure what to do with this one: Troy Nachtigall. Obvious COI due to the author's username and edit history, but subject may actually be notable (I haven't dug into the sources yet.) I tagged it and made a note on the talk page. If you have time next time you're on, could you take a look?
Hi there. For Alex Sim, in that case probably nothing further to do about the article. For Troy Nachtigall, probably for the best it should go through AfC rather than straight to mainspace. Some cleanup would also be needed. I have left the author a gentle warning about COI. The username isn't promotional enough for something like a soft block. Hope this helps! -Kj cheetham (talk) 16:22, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for your message. I'm afraid I don't take requests to review articles as there is usually a large backlog, and that article has already been deleted anyway. -Kj cheetham (talk) 14:48, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
April thanks

May 2026 Administrator Election – Call for Candidates
Latest comment: 1 month ago1 comment1 person in discussion
The administrator elections process has officially started! Interested editors are encouraged to self-nominate or arrange to be nominated by reviewing the instructions at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/May 2026/Candidates.
Here is the schedule:
April 29 – May 5: Call for candidates
May 8–12: Discussion phase
May 13–19: SecurePoll voting phase
Please note the following:
The requirements to run are identical to RFA—a prospective candidate must be extended confirmed.
The process will have a seven day call for candidates phase, a two day pause, a five day discussion phase, and a seven day private vote using SecurePoll. Discussion and questions are only allowed on the candidate pages during the discussion phase.
The outcome of this process is identical to making a request for adminship. There is no official difference between an administrator appointed through RFA versus administrator elections.
Ask any questions about the process at the talk page. Later, a user talk message will be sent to official candidates with additional information about the process.
If you are interested in the process, please make sure to watchlist the appropriate pages. A watchlist notice will be added when the discussion phase opens, and again when the voting phase opens.

I will add User talk:Hargitaihi. I will make no judgement, that would not be appropriate as it has to be someone independent. Ldm1954 (talk) 16:42, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
Changes to user permissions made from Meta are now included in the local user permissions log (T6055).
The autoconfirmed user group will soon be modified such that the four-day account age requirement begins when an account makes its first edit (T418484).
Arbitration
The arbitration case SchroCat has been opened. Evidence submissions in this case closed on 15 April.
Per a recent motion, appeals of blocks from the conflict-of-interest VRT queue are, by default, appealed on-wiki through the normal unblock process. However, they may be heard by the Committee if COIVRTers disagree on the interpretation of the evidence or believe ArbCom would be better suited to hear the appeal. Administrators are also advised that loosening or lifting such blocks without the consent of someone with access to the queue or ArbCom can be grounds for desysopping.
Per a recent motion, restrictions issued directly by the Committee may now be enforced with blocks which work exactly like contentious topic blocks.
On 13 May, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for.
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.
