Draft declinedThank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Your draft submission to Articles for creation has been reviewed but not accepted at this time.
FeedbackThe reviewer, CopyleftEverything, left the following feedback:
provide significant coverage: discuss the person in detail, not brief mentions or interviews lacking independent analysis;
are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
are independent: not connected to the person, such as interviews, press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet all three of these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
References do not meet WP:NBLP. No substantial coverage in secondary sources about the person. Vast majority of references are passing mentions, not reliable sources, or primary sources. 1. Smithsonian is a 1 para book summary, substantive but short. 2. Extensive references to a mere CV, so just WP:ABOUTSELF, not acceptable for anything important. 3-4. PCSU reference is useful, contains some background, and should be cited elsewhere, but has only passing mentions of Deetz. 5. Link the relevant statement. 6. Is just book seller's page on book, WP:PRIMARY. 7. Is WP:OVERATTRIBUTION: "was reviewed in academic and trade publications". Rewrite with substantive coverage. 8. Is just book seller's page on book, WP:PRIMARY. 9-14. Are just articles by Deetz, WP:PRIMARY. Recap: Deetz' research on slavery and cuisine seems interesting and important. Please find substantial coverage of her and her work in reliable secondary references, then resubmit.
