Question regarding Draft:Takhteshwar_Temple

edit

Could you expand on why you draftified Draft:Takhteshwar_Temple? There appear to be multiple sources[1][2][3] (based on a quick WP:BEFORE search) that push it over the brink of notability. Am I missing something here? Sohom (talk) 15:38, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Sohom Datta, please see Wikipedia:Drafts#During_new_page_review. There's no point in having an article with tour/travel company listings that are not WP:RS. Almost none of the information was verifiable in reliable sources that were cited in the article, making it unfit for the mainspace. WP:BEFORE is only for AfDs. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 16:11, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I do see your point here, but I'd personally say travel guide listings are in fact RS for a place that is primarily known for it's tourism. Also, while you do point out that the policies as currently written do not explicitly ask you to perform a BEFORE search, I do think performing a BEFORE search before taking a content action that could potentially result in a article being deleted is a good idea in general. Sohom (talk) 04:09, 18 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Travel/ tour company listings are not reliable for information on architecture, significance or the origins of a location/ temple's name. They can be used for uncontroversial claims, i.e. location, coordinates etc,. SEO optimized travel websites that copy content to rank high on Google are not reliable sources.
In this case, a before search was not needed as I did not nominate it for deletion. I'm sorry, but it is not the responsibility of NPRs to find sources while patrolling new articles, as this would take up a lot of time for what I believe is an unimportant/ low-interest topic. Regarding your deletion concern, the article was moved to the draftspace. Even if it hadn't been, any editor who nominates the article will have to do their own before search. If the subject is indeed notable, it will not be nominated. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 05:51, 18 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I hadn't looked at the history, I had assumed you were talking about my book sources. I'd agree that the sources you removed were unreliable.
However, I'm sorry, but it is not the responsibility of NPRs to find sources while patrolling new articles, as this would take up a lot of time for what I believe is an unimportant/ low-interest topic. is an absurd claim to make. The whole point of NPR is to make judgement calls on the notability of subject which inherently require a BEFORE check. Also, you do realize that draft deletions are automatic right, if the draft sits for six months in draftspace? I can understand using draftspace to quickly move obviously underdeveloped pages off off mainspace, however, this page was > 1 month old. The way I would have dealt with the article would have been to remove the unreliable sources, done a BEFORE check and then tagged it {{more references needed}} (or AFDed it if I had determined that RS did not exist). Sohom (talk) 10:55, 18 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
The claim you called absurd is followed day in and day out by new page reviewers. I believe that is also a reason why we have the It needs more sources to establish notability option in the MoveToDraft script. Mainspace articles can be moved to draft with a valid reason until they are more than 90 days old. We also have Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion/G13 to restore drafts that have been deleted. I will not be replying further as my explanations above address the concerns you raised. Cheers Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 11:43, 18 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I find your rationale and thought process troubling to say the least. I will bring this up at WT:NPPR for further discussion. However, we can agree to disagree for this thread :( Sohom (talk) 11:53, 18 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Eashvar Karthic

edit

It is clear that you created this because he directed two films. However, Zebra never released and he is not notable yet. DareshMohan (talk) 07:51, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

FWIW, it was not created because he directed two films. Is there any particular guideline/policy that explicitly says directors with only one film are not deemed notable? Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 11:42, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
See Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Creative_professionals #3 The person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work. In addition, such work must have been the primary subject of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews, or of an independent and notable work (for example, a film). Calling Penguin a well known work is a stretch.
If you are trying for #1 The person is regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by peers or successors;, it is doubtful if an assistant professor at American College, Madurai counts as being widely cited. If the film won a national or international award for the director, then one film can be excused. DareshMohan (talk) 23:02, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jeraxmoira, I made some edits to trim puffery from Moksha Kalyanram Abhiramula and I noticed that you had marked the other article created by the same editor as possible WP:UPE. I'm not sure what evidence there is for this, but you might want to take a look at this article as well and see if should also be flagged as possible UPE? Thanks. Melcous (talk) 11:54, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Melcous. My concern was that there was a source that was published on the same day the article was also created, 25 June. The article also used the same image from the source. It's highly unlikely for a single-purpose account to create an article with a source published on the same day, which made me think it was UPE. Sadly, there is no actual way to prove this unless this SPA goes back to their previous editing pattern or recreates a deleted article. The sources on Moksha Kalyanram Abhiramula are all biography listings, primary sources, and press releases. I'll do a WP:BEFORE and nominate it for deletion when I get some time. Thank you for the ping Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 17:30, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Can you kindly remove the SPA tag you have inappropriately and improperly placed on my comment? The SPA tagging section clearly states that the tag should only be used on pages that relate to the single-purpose account's "single purpose". If I was a SPA, it would be on the John Lennon topic area, since most of my edits are from there. I have made no edits even remotely pertaining to the 1M1B organisation outside of the Afd discussion. CSD G5s

edit

Hello, Jeraxmoira,

I untagged a few of the pages you tagged for CSD G5 speedy deletion. Please examine each page before you tag it for deletion because not all of these articles, redirects and drafts met the G5 criteria. One article was in the middle of an article merger and I don't think speedy deletion takes priority over that. Another page had been part of a previous merge and I believe we need to retain it for attribution purposes. Also, the page creator has to be a confirmed sockpuppet, not just an editor listed on an open SPI report and has to be the sole or primary contributor to an article. Several articles you tagged had substantial contributions from several other editors so these articles weren't eligible for CSD G5. Please review WP:G5 to better understand the exact conditions that need to be in place for the G5 criteria to be valid.

But thank you for all of your contributions to the project, your patrolling is appreciated! Liz Read! Talk! 00:22, 17 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Quick draftifications

edit

Good morning,

I noticed that today you moved a page to draft space 5 minutes after it was created. You also moved Draft:Mustafa Hills 36 minutes after it was created. Please be aware that WP:NPPHOUR is considered a best practice that NPP members are generally expected to follow. Pages are allowed to be worked on in main space and moving pages to draft space too quickly, before a user has a chance to complete it. These types of quick draftifies may be considered WP:BITEy behaviour and may push new contributors away, which is why we typically give them at least an hour since the last productive edit. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:37, 14 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks a lot IQR IQR (talk) 13:48, 14 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I shouldn’t have done it, but the author’s talk page history and contributions implied that they weren’t trying to address the issues with the articles they had created earlier. I will keep the WP:NPPHOUR in mind. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 13:59, 14 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
It may imply it, but the way I view it, a new user may be taking the time to try to figure something out and reading elsewhere. Reference formatting wasn't easy for me early on, so I was reading help pages figuring out the proper syntax for an hour or so. Never hurts to assume good faith and give someone a bit of extra time, it may help keep a potentially good contributor around longer ;) Hey man im josh (talk) 14:05, 14 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Jeraxmoira! I wanted to check back in with you regarding quick draftifications as I saw that you moved Draft:Ali Raza (actor) to the draft space less than 40 minutes after the page creator had last edited it. Please keep in NPPHOUR in mind as you work. It looks like you are usingMPGuy2824's MoveToDraft, which should warn you if the article has been edited within the past hour. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:02, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

I wouldn't call it quick, as Munch03 had an hour after creating the article, yet they chose to create more unreferenced articles instead of improving the existing one. They are also linked to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sunuraju. It's just a bold move nonetheless and AGF shouldn't apply to obvious socks. Hi IP, I am not Jeraxmoira but if there are issues with the article, you need to start a discussion on the article's talk page. However, I will point out Wikipedia goes by what reliable secondary sources state about a subject; not what the subject says about itself. You could be right; I don't know, but be prepared to provide such sources to support your claims or prove the current cited sources do not support the content. It seems I cannot. The redirect has been fiddled with preventing my moving it back. @RangersRus an alternative is to send it to AfD. Your choice. Or Draft:Murivu can be admin deleted and the article moved back to replace it 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me đŸ‡şđŸ‡Ś 10:27, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
RangersRus, we already have an SPI open for Rydex64. The main issue here is that we couldn’t find Rydex64's master account, so none of their articles were deleted. I already draftified Murivu on 19 July 2024, so I believe it’s not eligible for draftification again unless someone wants to be WP:BOLD. The other way is to check if there is any overlap between User:ArifVlog782 and Rydex64 (which I’ll take a look at shortly). If overlap is found, we could simply WP:BANREVERT and move it back to draftspace. But, articles about latest Indian films are almost always notable since they typically receive 2-3 full length reviews in local / national news media. From my experience, Wikipedia is more inclined to keep such articles if they pass WP:N, even if they were created by a bad faith editor. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 10:50, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I agree that film pages should have 2-3 reviews to pass WP:NFILM but this film page does not have any and that is why I declined the draft and asked to add multiple reviews and resubmit again. Now this editor ArifVlog782 not only moved the draft to mainspace but also posted a fake AFC acceptance message. I also suspect canvassing. See how other editor tries to fix the fake acceptance message. RangersRus (talk) 12:31, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

We know that AFC review policies and guidelines have been violated by moving the page from draft to mainspace and posting a fake acceptance message. Adding @CNMall41: here to see what he makes of this. Will WP:ANI be another approach? RangersRus (talk) 13:37, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

As far as I know, AFC review policies and guidelines do not prohibit moving an article to the mainspace, even if it was rejected or created by a sock. There is nothing in the guidelines related to fake acceptance messages as well. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 16:32, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Observation
edit
  • IMO, also consdiering the timing of the edits, I don't think DareshMohan is involved and the AFC accepting edit was likely just to remove the red link. If needed, DareshMohan could have created or moved the article to the mainspace on his own; I don’t think they would need another account. An editor with 3-4 years of experience would probably not make this rookie mistake.
  • User:ArifVlog782 is surely a sock of someone, but IMHO, I don't think they are related to the Rydex64 case. The only overlap here is on the article Murivu. Newly created SPAs/socks usually patrol new pages and dig up old pages/drafts related to other SPI cases, moving them to the mainspace to mislead editors/admins who are trying to find behavioral evidence against them. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 16:23, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Timtrent and RangersRus, if my observations make any sense, please consider G7'ing the SPI on DareshMohan. If they don't, then let the SPI run its course, but I strongly believe CU will be denied. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 16:29, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I think, for my part, letting it run does no harm, and may bear some fruit. This is despite your observations making sense. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me đŸ‡şđŸ‡Ś 16:35, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
DareshMohan with 3 to 4 years of experience, you would expect them to know the difference between an AFC generated acceptance message and the fake one. He could have in good faith told ArifVlog782 that this is not the right way to move a page without AFC's accepted review and reverted the move back. This makes me think of canvas. What you make of it @Timtrent: ? RangersRus (talk) 16:41, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
@RangersRus I will let wiser heads than mine judge this. All editors are Abe to make good faith errors. I include myself in this. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me đŸ‡şđŸ‡Ś 16:57, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Excuse my language but this is a goddam mess. It is likely related to this. Note that a CU will not likely find a strong technical connection due to the SOCK farm's experience in SPI. Give me a few minutes to gather things and I will leave another note here. --CNMall41 (talk) 18:57, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

That one has been annoying me for some time. Good luck 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me đŸ‡şđŸ‡Ś 19:23, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I do not want to put any more evidence on the SPI page as I know it is already a nightmare for a CU. I will leave it here in the event anyone wants to transfer it over or user ANI as a way to put the brakes on the UPE until the SPI can be figured out. Pinging @Timtrent:, @RangersRus:.
Rydex64 and ArifVlog782 have a connection based on AfC (not to mention similar name stylings with letters followed by numbers – not strong but a little something). User Rydex64 requested to be an AfC reviewer just prior to their block. This would indicate the intention to use AfC as a tool to help move pages with less scrutiny. User ArifVlog782 leaving this AfC message shows that both are familiar with the process and attempting to use it to their advantage.
I am of the belief that these are likely MEAT hired by this firm which has been connected to the StayCalmOnTrees SPI (which I believe will be shown in the SPI filing for the link I shared above on Sunuraju). Note that Sunuraju edited Murivu one day after Rydex64. They are being bold which tells me they are likely being careful to avoid using the same IP based on their previous SPI experience and forgot that behavrioal evidence can be just as good as CU evidence. Rydex64 and Sunuraju have the similar generic userpage message typically left by this farm to avoid the redlinked name and to give the impression they are not an SPA. Editor interaction tool shows an overlap with Sunuraju and Rydex64. When looking at those overlaps, I see edits close to each other and often right after a new page creation which to me indicates they are both coordinating.
Finally, the SPI I linked to above that I recently filed for Sunuraju is going to be connected to a user with 100,000+ edits over the last decade. There is a ton of off-Wiki evidence which was emailed to Wikipedia so waiting on that response. That user has not been outed on Wikipedia as of yet but I think I will do so shortly as their account has been dormant for almost two months and I don’t want it to go past the ability of a CU to gather evidence. For the record, it is not RangersRus and that user has never raised a flag that would indicate I should check their editing history more. Long story short, it is a rabbit hole and I am glad I am not an admin or CU as the rats nest is going to take some time to untangle. --CNMall41 (talk) 19:25, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Jeraxmoira,

When you strike the comments of a sock in an AFD could you leave an explanation and also leave your signature? Otherwise, it isn't clear why an editor's comments have been struck out. I mostly usually write "sock strike" and sign my username. Just striking comments raises more questions than necessary if you spend an extra minute to provide an explanation. Antonio Amaya

edit

Hi. Per: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(sports)#Boxing

You need to bring Antonio Amaya back to main space. He qualifies for main space by a mile. Only boxers among the top ten may fight for a world title in the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO. He fought for world titles three times and Boxing notability establishes that any boxer ranked in the top ten meets notability. Thank you. Jeanette La Campeona Martin (Aqui) 17:30, 9 February, 2025 (UTC)

User:JeanetteMartin, you have synthesized the whole article from the boxing match outcomes, which is clearly not suitable for mainspace. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 18:11, 9 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
That's how it usually is done on most boxing articles. Besides, the style has no bearing as far as his notability which is widely established. he passes boxing notability by a mile. And, Boxrec is our go to for boxing articles. Jeanette de Caguas Martin 18:48, 9 February, 2025 (UTC) Antonio Martin (talk) 18:48, 9 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
  • Amaya had better luck in his next fight
  • This was one of only ten knockout wins that Amaya amassed in 77 professional fights.
  • to stop his nine-fight winning streak in the main event of a program
  • All five of those wins were on points over ten rounds, with two coming in Mexico, two in Caracas, Venezuela and the Barrientos one in Panama.
  • Amaya kept busy with matches against important rivals after the Kobayashi defeats. Right after the Kobayashi rematch, Amaya met Nigerian contender Ray Adigun on 18 October, 1970 at the Gimnasio Nuevo Panama (now known as "Roberto Duran Arena", named after legendary boxer Roberto Duran). The Adigun fight was a rarity in Amaya's career, as the two contenders boxed until the sixth-round, with Amaya deemed a winner by technical knockout. This was the main event of a show in which Duran himself participated, with Duran knocking out Ignacio Castaneda in the third round.
This is not how we write BLP articles on Wikipedia and as an experienced editor, you should already know this. Per WP:BLPSOURCES, the inline citations you provided do not verify any of the randomly selected statements above. A thorough review would likely strip the article down from B class to a stub.
You can use BoxRec to support a table of Amaya’s matches, similar to Zelfa Barrett. But adding WP:OR with phrases like "Amaya had better luck" or "Amaya kept busy with matches against important rivals" is unacceptable. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 19:37, 9 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Oh, so because of my style of writing, his article deserves to be deleted? Ive been writing that way for 20 years and never had a problem until today. Besides, there is nothing in policy that says you can delete an article of a clearly notable person only because you don't like the style it is written like. Jeanette The Wild Snake Martin 20:04, 9 February, 2025 (UTC) Antonio Martin (talk) 18:48, 9 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
It's not about the style of your writing but rather the amount of original research you are adding to an article. After reading what you wrote, if the readers think that the boxer won because he had 'better luck' than his competition in one of his fights, then it is very misleading and unfair to the subject itself. You are violating WP:V and WP:BLPSOURCES, to be precise.
I see that you have submitted the draft for review, so you will probably receive feedback from another editor. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 20:24, 9 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Instead of putting a speedy deletion tag or drafting it, you could have simply edited out the parts you point at? I usually don't get into edit wars over that. ANd, as i said, the subject easily passes the boxing notability guideline. (which is weak in my own opinion but even if we strengthened it to people who fouhght in world title matches and up, he'd still pass) Jeanette Madonna Ringwald Martin (Aqui) 06:51,10 February, 2025 (UTC)
I would have simply removed the WP:OR if it were just a few lines, but the whole article is synthesized, which is why I sent it to draft. No comments regarding his notability. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 11:32, 10 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
I see...so you ask for speedy deletion simply because there are a few lines on the article you think should be removed and notwithstanding the subject passing the boxing notability bar? You are not dealing with policy there. Jeanette Lover Queen Martin (Aqui) 11:54,10 February, 2025 (UTC)
It's tiring for me to explain the same thing to you again and again. The article contains 80-90% WP:OR, not just a few lines as you claim. The onus is on you to fix the problems in the article, not on the reviewers. Also, you shouldn’t be worrying this much if you believe the article is suitable for the mainspace as is. Any reviewer who comes across the draft will accept it if they think the same. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 12:59, 10 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Its tiring also to explain to you that you can just click on edit and edit it before nominating it for speedy delete. To me, that tells me you just wanted it deleted, and maybe that you are a deletionist? And its tiring to deal with your attitude too. As far as the article, I've no doubt it will be reinstated because the subject passes notability by a mile. As far as my style of writing, no one's complained in 21 years, until you came along. So.....it seems people here do not mind, except you. Jeanette La Nena Martin (talk) 13:54, 10 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
No, editors assume that someone with 50,000 edits and 20+ years of experience would probably know how to create articles, follow core policies and ultimately do the right thing. But it seems that you have greatly misused that trust until now.
Take this issue to any WP:BLPN/WP:ANI noticeboard and you will see yourself hit with a WP:BOOMERANG. Stop writing articles as if they are fictional short stories and please learn WP:V, one of Wikipedia’s core policies. Wikipedia content is determined by previously published information rather than editors' beliefs, experiences, or previously unpublished ideas or information. Doing something wrong for 20 years doesn’t make it right. Your writing style is completely unsuitable for wikipedia because people come here for reliable information, not unverifiable content added just because you feel wikipedia articles lack depth or style and choose to insert your own. Finally, don’t ask other editors to clean up your mess. It’s not their job, especially when you do it intentionally. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 14:51, 10 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
You have an attitude problem and need to address that. As far as my writing, only you have ever had any problems. In fact, my writing has indirectly led me to meeting one President of the United States and several government officials. You need to learn Wikipedia policy. Writing style is not among the policies to put an article on "speedy delete". In fact, it says so here: "WP:G1:Further information: Wikipedia:Patent nonsense

This applies to pages consisting entirely of incoherent text or gibberish with no meaningful content or history. It does not cover poor writing". Also this: "Notability. Articles that seem to have obviously non-notable subjects are eligible for speedy deletion only if the article does not give a credible indication of why the subject might be important or significant." the latter is clearly achieved in the article. Im not going to keep answering because you seem to just want to keep the article out no matter what. But it will be back up soon anyways. Have a good rest of your life.Jeanette Porn model Martin (Aqui) 15:11,10 February, 2025 (UTC)

The only problem we need to address here is how we are going to remove the amount of WP:OR/WP:SYNTH you have added to articles so far. Either way, I think we'll probably meet once again in ANI if you continue with the same writing style. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 16:39, 10 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

From a glance, your first proposed change "During her tenure, Unilever was recognised as a top FMCG graduate employer in multiple countries." does not have a supporting source and the existing source in the article does not mention this either. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 14:54, 24 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your response. I will create separate edit request for all statements, and revert on the first proposed change to ensure this is fully substantiated. I appreciate your input. Occasionalpedestrian (talk) 16:39, 24 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello Jeraxmoira
Thank you for all your recent help and guidance on the Leena Nair article. Since we last spoke this article has been further revised to remove promotional content and improve neutrality. The student editor has also made further changes to address neutrality concerns and improve accuracy.
I’d like to gather consensus on whether it’s now appropriate to remove the neutrality violation banner and find a way to move this forwards. Would you mind if I tagged you on the Talk page as a recent editor to help gather consensus on this matter?
Any further advice and guidance would be greatly appreciated. Occasionalpedestrian (talk) 15:10, 6 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Attention to Dheeran Chinnamalai Page

edit

Dear @Jeraxmoira

I noticed you had removed some misinformation on the Dheeran Chinnamalai page. I request you to revert the page back to it's original state from before the edits of the following user

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/223.178.82.35

The user has been involved in Vandalism of another page as well targetting members of the Kongu Vellalar community.

The actions of the user include converting a real life Indian freedom fighter belonging to a particular community to a character in a fiction story which has been deeply hurting to the sentiments of the community.

Since the page was protected subsequently, I have been unable to make further edits.

Thank you Lokesheswaran (talk) 09:17, 27 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Stop doing disruptive edits on multiple pages and accept facts from reliable sources: unnecessary talk

edit

Stop icon This is your Final warning.

If you keep on doing disruptive editing as you have done in Lingaa, Annathe, and List of highest-grossing Tamil films or any other Wikipedia page again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Tags: Twinkle, Wikipedia:Disruptive editing

Also, check the articles and read before putting unnecessary talk. There is a proper source for my details and it does not have anything to do with biographies of living persons or defamatory content as you have suggested. It is just talking about a movie collection. How is that defamatory? Prove that my facts are unsourced or poorly sourced.

The citation is from a site that is repeatedly used in many references for movie collections: NDTV. You are being a Highly Sensitive Person to simple facts.

Snap out of your fan mindset and accept criticism from reliable sources!!!.
It can not be stopped.

In addition, stop putting unnecessary talk in my page. Don't you have anything productive to do? Tamilcontent1 (talk)

Cheers!

Would appreciate your help with Baring Ventures

edit

Hi there, I saw your message on the article I requested (Baring Ventures). I don't mind this article being a stub, but I would appreciate your help here. If you check out Michael Calvey you will notice that the company he founded after exiting Russia does not have its own entry, and it should. The company's website () details a lot of the information that is mentioned in my attempt at an article, and corroborated in the links I provided. The company is part of Michael Calvey's story, and the absence of information on it here on Wikipedia leaves users with an incomplete story. If you or any other editors could please help with the creation of this article, I would be most thankful. NoraBV1986 (talk) 10:05, 8 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Deleted articles

edit

Was thinking about creating drafts for the following deleted articles in neutral tone, but I wanted to ask you if they were deleted on notability concerns. Pretty sure they were deleted due to COI.

  1. Draft:Harshavardhan Rameshwar (Oottakomban) (Producer and ad lib vocals for "Ghamand Kar" from Tanhaji ) . Claim to fame: Arjun Reddy, Animal and Spirit.
  2. Draft:Rohit-Sasi
  3. Draft:Ritesh Rana
Ritesh Rana and Harshavardhan Rameshwar will without a doubt be more relevant in the future once more of their work releases (Spirit, Mathu Vadalara 3). Sad to see Rohit-Sasi not have an article since they were unique in the indie space. DareshMohan (talk) 02:18, 21 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
If I were you, I wouldn’t bother recreating it. You’d essentially be helping the editor who was paid to create these articles and indirectly help him in escaping the mess he has created. If I remember correctly, you had a bit of interaction with the author of these articles and by recreating them back, it could raise suspicions that you’re also involved. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 11:13, 21 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Regarding Removal of Iftar Event Controversy Content

edit

Hello @Jeraxmoira, I noticed that you reverted my edit (Revision 1285727603) on the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam article with the comment "Routine news." However, the information I added is based on a reliable news source (News18, dated 11 March 2025), which reports that a police complaint was filed against Vijay by the Tamil Nadu Sunnat Jamath, alleging that Muslims were insulted during an Iftar event he organized. The event generated media coverage and public discussion. As per Wikipedia's content guidelines for notable controversies and WP:RS (reliable sources), I believe this warrants brief inclusion in the "Controversies" section of the article. If the concern is about neutrality, I’m open to modifying the language to meet Wikipedia's standards. Kindly clarify why it was removed despite being sourced and relevant. Looking forward to your thoughts. Mushabikhan (talk) 06:47, 16 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Jeraxmoira Thanks for your edit. I noticed you removed the First Floor Gallery Harare link from the infobox of this article Amanda Shingirai Mushate with summary edit said “official website only” and “no Ecomm.” I believe this may be a misunderstanding. The linked page is the artist’s official biography/profile hosted on the representing gallery’s site not an e-commerce page. It contains career information, exhibitions and background and does not primarily function to sell works. Per WP:ELMINOFFICIAL, it’s acceptable to use the official profile of the subject even if it’s hosted on a commercial domain, as long as it’s the authoritative page for that person and not mainly for sales.

If you still have concerns, we could open a brief discussion at the article’s talk page or the WP:ELN for consensus. 🐍 Thilio🤖 🐍 Thilio🤖 09:56, 11 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

An artist’s official biography is not the same as their official website, so it cannot be placed in the infobox. Here is an example of a subject and their official website.
The other links you added in the External links section were already cited in the article, which makes them redundant. I removed the First Floor Gallery Harare link from the External links section because it is a user-submitted CV, but feel free to add it back, just not in the infobox. Clarification on Sources and Request for Guidance

edit

Hello @Jeraxmoira,

Thank you for your feedback on the article (Kannada News Today). I would like to clarify a few points regarding the sources and references: for your Source assessment table

1). The TV3 Kannada article covers Kannada News Today and its founder. Although it is a regional Kannada news site, it directly relates to the subject and provides independent coverage.

2). I noticed that on the Chidananda S Naik page, which you created, Times of India is used as a reference even though it has no byline.

3). Similarly, The Hindu Post coverage on that page Chidananda S Naik also has no byline, sometimes only mentioning “The Hindu Bureau,” yet it is accepted as a source.

We mention this respectfully to better understand Wikipedia’s guidelines and to improve our contributions. Your valuable suggestions will help us ensure the article meets Wikipedia standards and contributes reliably to the platform.

Leena Nair edits

Hello @Jeraxmoira

Thank you very much for your recent work on the Leena Nair article and for helping to maintain its accuracy and neutrality as I myself have a COI to the page. Your input and oversight have been really appreciated.

There have been a few further updates needed, and I have added a new post to the Talk page. For example Ms Nair has since left some of the positions currently listed. I have reliable sources available to support these changes.

I also noticed that the neutrality violation banner has been re-added to the article. Given the recent revisions made to improve tone and sourcing, I wanted to understand what steps might be taken to review this and potentially remove the banner if appropriate.

Would you mind if I tagged you on the Talk page again for your independent view and guidance? Your advice has been very helpful throughout this process.

Thank you again for your time and continued support.

I added 2 English language sources to Maria (2025 film). English sources are preferred over non English sources but moving film articles to drafts has no basis when the article already has 2 reliable reviews. Film articles need to meet either GNG or NLFILM, but this one didn’t. NLFILM requires two bylined reviews from reliable sources, but one of the reviews wasn’t bylined, so the article was moved to draft. The onus is on the editor who creates the article to demonstrate notability, not on the new page patroller. Likewise WP:BEFORE isn’t required for moving articles to draft space. Cinematographers

edit

I found two cinematographers without much coverage on the internet: Lance Kalpan and Steve Rice (unreliable). The film Butterflies of Bill Baker received some sources: . Not enough information on Steve Rice for an article. DareshMohan (talk) 02:54, 28 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

I believe neither of them have enough wikilinked credits, so it might be difficult to create standalone articles for them. William David is also credited for Rangitaranga. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 05:33, 28 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I added more than eight English language sources to Annamalai Kudumbam and Dhoolpet Police Station. English sources are preferred over non-English sources. What kind of resources do you need? Can you Please explain? மகிழ்கலைஞன் (talk) 19:52, 3 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

The sources you’ve added are all routine coverage from marketing events intended to generate press. Examples include Annamalai Kudumbam’s 230-foot saree event, trailer/teaser launches and OTT release announcements. Almost all the sources you added for Annamalai Kudumbam simply repeat what V. S. Raghavan said at the event. You’ll need either two reviews of those TV shows or independent, non-promotional sources. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 20:19, 3 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Annamalai Kudumbam : , Here are some other sources. What about Dhoolpet Police Station, I added strong sources.--மகிழ்கலைஞன் (talk) 19:03, 7 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
You need three reliable sources for GNG and the only one you have is from The Hindu. The rest are generated from the promotional event they conducted. As for Dhoolpet Police Station, there are no reliable sources on the draft. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 19:08, 7 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Zuck28 SPI

edit

Just a note, I have deleted Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Zuck28 without prejudice for another proper SPI to be created. Your report fell well below the standard that is required for SPIs. An 11k edit account just editing an obscure topic alongside a new account is an inappropriate use of an SPI. If you wish to refile this report, please gather the proper evidence required for SPI. -- Amanda (she/her) 17:02, 28 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

The fact was ... that Nigel Bluck's cinematography has been compared to the work of painter Edward Hopper? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Nigel Bluck. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Nigel Bluck), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Notable? DareshMohan (talk) 02:59, 18 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

I don't think there's enough coverage and merely getting selected won’t cut it. As far as I can see, the only solid source is THR. Probably WP:TOOSOON? Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 05:47, 18 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Swathi Konde

Are you gatekeeping the article due to possible COI, she passes WP:NACTOR, not sure if sources are sufficient. But wonder who put her name in lead in Pavi Caretaker. P.S. You should improve M. S. Prabhu, N. K. Ekambaram, etc's articles. DareshMohan (talk) 16:33, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

It was part of a cleanup. My next will probably be Draft:Ed Moore (cinematographer) when I get the time. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 20:25, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Is Sri Gouri Priya notable? I noticed that it was moved to draft by you due to COI. See . She only has 2nd/3rd billing in Tamil credits of 2 films and 1 web series. DareshMohan (talk) 21:58, 26 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello Jeraxmoira,

New Page Review queue November 2025 - May 2026

After the January–February drive the article backlog was reduced to 15,179 articles and the redirect backlog to 19,053 respectively. Great job! However, both queues are growing rapidly and any additional reviews are highly appreciated.

2024 and 2025 NPP Awards

JTtheOG was selected as the NPP reviewer of the year for both 2024 and 2025, for reviewing the most articles amongst all reviewers.

Hey man im josh and MPGuy2824 won the Redirect Ninja Master Award for 2024 and 2025 respectively, for reviewing the most redirects.

January–February backlog drive

The experimental two-month long backlog drive concluded with 183 reviewers patrolling over 27,761 articles and 35,309 redirects, earning over 36,836 points. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 6,484.6 points in this drive.

May backlog drive

An article-only backlog drive is currently underway. We are hoping to make a big dent in the backlog. You can read more about it or join at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Backlog drives/May 2026.

PageTriage

An attempt was made to get the New Pages Feed to sort by date marked as reviewed instead of date created. However we had to revert it due to bugs. We may try again in the future. You can subscribe to the Phabricator ticket if you're interested in following along.

Chaluve Gowda Notability

Hello, Chaluve Gowda should be afd, not a redirect. He is not notable and it can be clarified through afd. ~2026-34254-39 (talk) 08:56, 10 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
