Categorisation

edit

Please don't create categories as blank pages, they are not simple metatags but part of a hierarchy, without being categorised in turn they cannot be found by humans and maintenance bots. Also beware of WP:OVERCATEGORISATION, articles only need 3-5 categories for the most WP:DEFINING characteristics. Which lodge they are members of probably doesn't count as WP:DEFINING, particularly since you should only have categories for things that are notable enough for an article, which Isaac Newton University Lodge doesn't. @Le Deluge: Thank you. Apologies.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Isaac Newton University Lodge (June 13)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Primefac was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of organizations and companies). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
With the exception of the CNBC article, all of the references provided are PRIMARY sources, which for things like indicating notable members is perfectly acceptable, but not for demonstrating notability. The random trivia about Lodges-that-are-not-this-one is fine, but I think it could be trimmed down a bit (i.e. we don't need a list of every other lodge in the area). Please add additional independent reliable sources that discuss the subject in detail.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Thanks for reviewing the draft. I'll look for more secondary sources. Those lodges discussed in the draft are all tied to the University of Cambridge, it is far from a list of all lodges in the area. @Primefac: JazzyCricket (talk) 22:12, 13 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
