Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by LaMona was:
Avoid WP:REFSPAM - like "[2][5][6][7][8][9][10][11] " Either use more content from the articles referenced, or use only one per fact.

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by LaMona was:
This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability. Wikipedia requires significant coverage about the subject in reliable sources that are independent of the subject—see the guidelines on the notability of people and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing (see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners), so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. If additional reliable sources cannot be found for the subject, then it may not be suitable for Wikipedia at this time.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Royal Geo Soc has 16K members, so that doesn't add up to notability. Not enough independent sources.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Do not reference works by her, only those about her. Speaking engagement bios are not reliable sources (usually provided by speaker, plus are always laudatory).

Include a bibliography of her most cited works. Drop the link to G-scholar - it misses some of her most cited works, and we usually do not link to searches. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, In-Young Ahn), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Your submission at Articles for creation: Monique de Vries (July 13)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by SwisterTwister was:
This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability. Wikipedia requires significant coverage about the subject in reliable sources that are independent of the subject—see the guidelines on the notability of people and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing (see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners), so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. If additional reliable sources cannot be found for the subject, then it may not be suitable for Wikipedia at this time.
The comment the reviewer left was:
I'm not sure if there would actually be enough for her own notability given she's only best known for this advocacy which is still questionable for actual independent notability especially regarding her own article; unless you can add anything else of substantial information, I'm not confident about accepting.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Jill Mikucki (August 9)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Rebbing was:
On inspection, many of the references do not support the material they claim to. Examples:
  • "Mikucki's work on Blood Falls was the first to describe the microbiology and geochemistry of the feature."
  • "Mikucki's work demonstrated that microbes can grow below ice in the absence of sunlight by using sulfate and iron to help them metabolize organic matter." My understanding is that it's long been established in the literature that chemoautotrophs can grow in such conditions, but, more importantly, the citation says nothing about Ms. Mikucki's discovery of new life.
  • "Mikucki was part of the first team to drill into and sample an Antarctic subglacial lake, which demonstrated the existence of life deep beneath Antarctic ice for the first time."
These problems undercut notability as well.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.
