Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:SHAPE Asia
edit
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:SHAPE Asia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Questions
editIs the "ibnu" at the beginning of your username the name of an organisation? If so, I will have to ask you to change it. My second question is, do you have a connection with the topic of the article outside Wikipedia? If so, it is a conflict of interest and you will need to follow the relevant guideline. Deb (talk) 08:05, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Deb, Ibnu is not the name (or username) of any organization, it is my personal name, and this username I use only when I want to contribute to any content in Wikipedia. Thank you. Ibnucontributor (talk) 08:14, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks, I thought that was probably the case. How about the other question? Deb (talk) 08:19, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you Deb. To be honest, I would say yes that I have a limited connection to the topic of the article outside Wikipedia. I understand this may constitute a conflict of interest, and I will follow Wikipedia’s guidelines by using the Articles for Creation process and proposing any further changes on the talk page for review. Ibnucontributor (talk) 08:37, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks, we appreciate your honesty. Just put a declaration on your user page and that should be fine. The review of the draft will give us some pointers as to how it can be improved. Deb (talk) 11:20, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks Deb for your suggestions. What should I do at this moment? Thanks Ibnucontributor (talk) 13:06, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- If you want to improve the article and submit it, that's up to you. Or you can leave it as it is and hope that others will contribute and improve it. You should, however, put a connected contributor template on your user page. See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI for instructions. Deb (talk) 13:54, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks Deb for giving me instructions for disclosing COI. I actually have submitted the draft and got Speedy deletion nomination flag, but then the notification is disappeared and the review is continued: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:SHAPE_Asia. Should I just wait for this review, is it okay with that? Ibnucontributor (talk) 14:06, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, I removed the speedy deletion nomination because I didn't think it was merited. You should now wait and see, because the reviewer will probably come up with some things that can be done to improve it. You can still work on it in draft, but you should be very careful not to introduce anything that could be considered to be out of keeping with the Wikipedia:Neutral point of view policy. Deb (talk) 14:20, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks so much Deb for removing the speedy deletion nomination for the draft I submitted. Thanks for the direction on what I should do. I now need to think about how I can revise and improve the draft as I just got result on my submission. The draft I submitted was declined because they mentioned that the draft did not meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for organizations and companies and it requires multiple published secondary sources that provide significant coverage, reliable, and independent. Will be back to you when I have addressed these issues. Thank you Ibnucontributor (talk) 00:45, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
