Carti AI

edit

Hi! Please stop disruptive editing on articles about Playboi Carti's speculated use of AI. You insist that it's a "hoax" but haven't provided any reliable source indicating such. Citing a tweet from Carti's friend is not enough. Nice4What (talk · contribs) – (Thanks ) 01:37, 14 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

He was there at the session, which makes him a reliable source.
In addition, much of the evidence, such as the other alleged "AI references", have all been proven to be faked with no involvement from Carti's team whatsoever. It's not disruptive editing I'm doing, I'm helping to correct rampant disinformation. Ezlo Jeslan (talk) 01:41, 14 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
You can not call it a "hoax" based on your own conclusions; a reliable source needs to call it a hoax. As I stated elsewhere, Carti's friend's Twitter is not a reliable source. Also, your claim that the alleged leaked demos "were later proven to be created by leakers with no involvement from Carti's team" is not supported by the source provided. Please stop edit warring. Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Opium (record label), without citing a reliable source (which Apple music is not). Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. Lil Happy Lil Sad :): 02:52, 9 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

How is Apple not a reliable source? It clearly shows that Nast’s new song was released via Opium.
Furthermore, YouTube data also shows it was distributed by Foundation Media, which distributed Ken and HXG’s first albums. Nast’s affiliation with ASAP Mob makes him trustworthy, and the fact that the song lists Opium as a label and was distributed by Foundation confirms it. Your submission at Articles for creation: "Fly Me to the Moon" and Neon Genesis Evangelion (May 12)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Moritoriko was:
The proposed article does not have sufficient content to require an article of its own, but it could be merged into the existing article at Fly Me to the Moon. Since anyone can edit Wikipedia, you are welcome to add that information yourself. Thank you.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Some of this information can be merged to the original article of this song or the article on the series soundtrack but there don't seem to be enough sources talking about this version of the song for it to get it's own article.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

I have warned you before about speculation and opinions in the VShojo article. Please avoid bias remarks and provide valid sources. Thank you. --WashuOtaku (talk) 18:41, 22 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

The reactions do not meet Wikipedia standards, see WP:REACTIONS. Unless they can hold-up on their own, their are just additional information that provide no value added to the article. This is the reason I removed them. It also does not help that they are backed by the social media posts and not an third-party source referencing them. Hope this helps explain the rational. --WashuOtaku (talk) 01:40, 23 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

They are, the Siliconera citations are right there. Ezlo Jeslan (talk) 01:57, 23 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Then you do not need the social media posts, that covers it. That said, I still disapprove of the reactions. --WashuOtaku (talk) 02:06, 23 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Regarding the defunct date, I do not appreciate it when I give a good faith effort sharing my rational on why it should be left blank and simply being ignored. To avoid an edit war, I am backing down for now; but I still encourage you to share your editorial thoughts in the talk page. And please remember, we all have the same goal here. --WashuOtaku (talk) 22:32, 24 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I want to let you know that please be careful when adding information on articles. Your recent contributions were about the reported closure of Nelvana. The edits were reverted because the sources you cited to support the information are self-published sources. Self-published sources, such as social media, are considered original research, and therefore, they are not allowed since this is an encyclopedia. Since there is no official, verifiable source about the closure, the reported closure is just a rumor/rumour for right now. Aubreeprincess (talk) 04:16, 2 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Amane Kanata (September 9)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by WeirdNAnnoyed was:
This is a well-written article and the subject is notable. However, I am concerned about the sourcing. The article relies far too much on social media posts as sources. The article should rely as much as possible on secondary sources that are independent of the subject (not interviews) and maybe use primary sources just to fill in details. I also think the "Career" section contains too much trivia and needs to be shortened. Also please format your references correctly (do not use bare URLs, see template:cite web). If you resubmit and the article is accepted, please make sure to delete the existing redirect.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Hey, you’ve been doing a great job on this article, and I would love to be able to approve it, but……. So much of it is Original research using primary sources, rather than Encyclopedic using reliable secondary sources. Ideally you need to cut out anything that is sourced via Twitter and first person You Tube. This means that a lot of the more colourful parts of the article need to go - being too promotional in tone at any rate - any other editor that comes across it once approved is going to cut all those parts out anyway. If you could fix that stuff up, I’ll take another look in a few days. Otherwise, I might be tempted to take the pruning shears to it myself, just to get it down to the point where I could approve it, and then editing can fix any other problems once it’s up and live…

Also, if you’re looking for other stuff to do, we could always use editors over on WikiProject Japan, there is always loads of work to do fixing stuff up / expanding stubs / adding the project link to the talk pages of like Anime and Manga stuff which usually doesn’t tag the project.

Have fun out there, hope to be able to approve this soon 👍 Absurdum4242 (talk) 06:11, 12 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I thought enough of it was cited from more encyclopedic sources that it was okay (eight out of over 60), and I based it off the format of other VTubers who have similar citation sources (such as Marine and Ironmouse), but I'll double check and see what else can be cited from elsewhere.
Any tips on what other sources should be avoided? Ezlo Jeslan (talk) 00:23, 13 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your reply. When I said “Encyclopedic” I meant more in terms of tone… Like, as written it kind of combines an essay using primary sources, with like a human interest piece / fan page listing her hobbies, her cheerful personality etc. If you cut out a lot of that human interest/fan type stuff, it actually helps with the references too, since that is a lot of the parts using primary sources.
As for sources, they need to be secondary sources, which means no Twitter, YouTube or other social media, and also no interviews. Articles written by someone else ABOUT her is 👍 Things she herself says are not. The sources need to be both independent and reliable too, so no blogs, no social media, nothing (like Wikipedia) that can be freely edited. Ideally they would be published media pieces in like magazines, newspapers, etc - including web versions. Sources like the Real sounds interview are ok, but only the first non-interview portion would count towards proving “notability” (Wikipedia:Notability ). The second interview part can be used to prove facts about the person though (birthdate, siblings, meniers disease etc). Speaking of the Meniers disease - because this article is about a loving person, everything that you say about them that might be even the littlest bit controversial (and a disease or condition would count for this) needs to be directly sourced, so THAT is where you would use the interview as a source, ideally right after the claim, rather than at the end of the longer section.
Anyway, sorry I’ve written too much, don’t want to make this all sound so heavy. Just see what yo can do, and we can go from there. Absurdum4242 (talk) 02:58, 13 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
I have removed all the Twitter and YouTube links in the bio section and cited for Meniere's. Using my Steam Deck and don't remember my password, and I apologize for that. 2600:1700:65C0:2120:0:0:0:36 (talk) 08:43, 13 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Sweet, thanks for getting back so quick 👍 I’ll take another look now…
OK, so, that looks really good, definitely moving in the right direction, but to give you some more idea what I was talking about vis a vis Encyclopedic tone…

Amane Kanata is one of the five original members of "holoForce", Hololive's fourth generation of Japanese streamers, alongside Tokoyami Towa, Tsunomaki Watame, Himemori Luna, and formerly Kiryu Coco, who graduated in 2021. Her official bio describes her as being cheerful around her close friends, but shy and quiet in large crowds, with the goal of performing at the Saitama Super Arena.2 Her model was designed by Oshioshio 3 and currently rigged by Nokoyama as of February 2025.4
In 2017,5, Amane was diagnosed with Ménière's disease, which left her completely deaf in one ear and prevented her from joining traditional idol groups.6 Having already been interested in VTubers, she would apply for Hololive's fourth generation and was accepted despite having a lack of confidence in her ability. She has cited Eri Kamei as an inspiration for her work as an idol, as well as Minato Aqua as an influence on her VTubing career.5 She has also cited Yui Aragaki as her "first love"7, and her reaction to Yui's marriage to Gen Hoshino would serve as inspiration for her song "Betsu Sekai".8
Amane is well known for her strong vocal performance, having held notes in online concerts for more than 20 seconds on multiple occasions.9 She is also known her work as a composer on her solo songs "Betsu Sekai" and "Jumanokudo", as well as the holoForce group song "Kiseki Knot"; she has also written the lyrics for her songs "Start Up", "Sekai de Ichiban no Idol", and "Fallen Wing", the latter of which was co-written by Toby Fox and Camellia.8 Outside of her music, she is further known for her grip strength of over 50kg, which exceeds that of the average adult male, and has led her to inadvertently destroy multiple objects on stream.10

Amane Kanata is one of the five original members of "holoForce” - Hololive’s fourth generation of Japanese streamers (alongside Tokoyami Towa, Tsunomaki Watame, Himemori Luna, and formerly Kiryu Coco). She graduated (do you mean started streaming? Or graduated university? For Japanese idol / music / anime etc situations, “graduate” usually means “stop performing”, but you have her model being rigged in Feb 2025… is she finished, or?) in 2021. Her model was designed by Oshioshio3 and is currently rigged by Nokoyama as of February 2025.4
In 2017, Amane was diagnosed with Ménière's disease,5 which left her completely deaf in one ear and prevented her from joining traditional idol groups. Having already been interested in VTubers, she applied for Hololive's fourth generation and was accepted despite having a lack of confidence in her own ability.Needs line citation on this
Amane is well known for her strong vocal performance, having held notes in online concerts for more than 20 seconds on multiple occasions.Needs citation, or cut She is also known her work as a composer on her solo songs "Betsu Sekai" and "Jumanokudo", as well as the holoForce group song "Kiseki Knot"; she has also written the lyrics for her songs "Start Up", "Sekai de Ichiban no Idol", and "Fallen Wing", the latter of which was co-written by Toby Fox and Camellia.Needs a different citation, as the one used is an interview, and the claim is “she is known for”, so you need something directly saying that.
Ok, so, can you see what I cut and changed around and why? All factual based, because it’s an Encyclopedia not a fan / human interest article. Use one better source (number 5), for both claims, which eliminates the need to use the tweet for source number 6. And need direct secondary sources (not interviews), for the two parts I wrote need citations.
Hope this helps, you’re doing great 👍 Absurdum4242 (talk) 09:31, 13 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by CNMall41 was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue).
