Question from Rebrab57 (11:28, 6 January 2026)
Hi, I wondered if it is possible to make a Wikipedia page for myself? My name is Jim Barber and I am a professional guitarist from the UK. I am not interested in trying to promote myself, but would like to have correct information about my long and varied career playing guitar and bass for 57 years, and as a writer and a guitar luthier/technician. I am constantly being confused with others with the same name, notably an A&R/writer in the US, an Australian guitarist and a Ventriloquist... Now with AI getting so integrated in our lives, things are even more inaccurate. I have a fair amount of info on Discogs - though that is very incomplete, but feel a Wikipedia page would be more accurate and include correct information. Thanks, Jim Any thoughts would be much appreciated. --Rebrab57 (talk) 11:28, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Rebrab57. That depends on whether not reliable, published sources entirely independent of you have devoted significant coverage to you as a person. See WP:NMUSICIAN. Attempting to write an autobiography is strongly discouraged. See WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY. I estimate that 99% of people who try end up failing because they do not understand the stringent requirements for a new article about a living person and are unfamiliar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you want to learn more, please read and study Your first article and feel free to ask follow-up questions. Cullen328 (talk) 21:39, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- I have read the policies, I am also tired of all the inaccurate shit being wrote about me and others getting credit for my extensive work.
- nor am I attempting to write an autobiography.
- I will not be replying.
- I will leave it to others to deal with this. Rebrab57 (talk) 19:05, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
- Rebrab57, "make a Wikipedia page for myself" is by definition writing an autobiography. If the "inaccurate shit" is on Wikipedia, I can help you deal with that. If it is published elsewhere, I can't. Cullen328 (talk) 19:10, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
Question from Taqy Khan (16:42, 10 January 2026)
Hello, actually iam a software developer and a professional coder So I don't know how to add an article. I want to make an article of myself. Can you please guide me. --Taqy Khan (talk) 16:43, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Taqy Khan. Writing an autobiography on Wikipedia is strongly discouraged. very few software developers and professional coders meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for people. Please read Your first article for details of what is required. Cullen328 (talk) 05:34, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
Question from Fuecoco&Roy1208 (06:08, 11 January 2026)
Hello, I want to add a picture with members of the new Alpha Drive One, but I don't know what to do. This is the picture: https://daebak.tokyo/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/ALPHA-DRIVE-ONE-%EC%95%8C%ED%8C%8C%EB%93%9C%EB%9D%BC%EC%9D%B4%EB%B8%8C%EC%9B%90-Official-ProfileALPHADR-_2.webp
Hopefully this will help, thanks!!! --Fuecoco&Roy1208 (talk) 06:08, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Fuecoco&Roy1208. That image shows all the signs of being a professional promotional photo which is highly likely to be restricted by copyright. You cannot add such an image to Wikipedia unless you have solid evidence in writing that it has been freely licensed by the copyright holder for reuse by anyone for any purpose. Do you have such evidence? Cullen328 (talk) 08:33, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
Victimised
Dear Editor, I am writing to express my concern regarding a recent issue I encountered while attempting to contribute to one of my accounts, which is dedicated to editing football-related pages. Upon submitting my edit, I was unexpectedly banned. This was both surprising and upsetting, as I am confident that I had not engaged in any behaviour that would warrant such action. I respectfully ask that, in future, greater care is taken when issuing bans, as these decisions can cause unnecessary distress and a sense of unfairness for contributors who are acting in good faith. Thank you for taking the time to consider my concerns. Joeboy05 (talk) 11:15, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- Joeboy05, what is the username of the account that was banned? Why are you using more than one account? Cullen328 (talk) 18:40, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Cullen328, thanks for getting back to me.
- My old account was JoeB0TG, which I used mainly for football edits. It was banned unexpectedly, and I’m still not sure why — I genuinely thought I was following the rules.
- I created this account to keep contributing in good faith. I understand concerns around multiple accounts and should’ve been clearer from the start. Happy to explain more if needed. Joeboy05 (talk) 11:35, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Joeboy05. I blocked your old account JoeBOTG because usernames containing "bot" are not permitted except for approved automated bot accounts. That account was renamed to JoyBoyG and is not currently blocked. This is all explained at User talk:JoeBoyG. Cullen328 (talk) 17:57, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- Seems a little over the top fixating on a name but hey-ho. Thanks for clearing things up. Joeboy05 (talk) 09:43, 12 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from GCDPMedia (08:53, 12 January 2026)
Hello Jim, I work for the Global Commission on Drug Policy and would like to propose neutral, sourced updates to the Intro, Membership, and Reports/Activities sections. Can we collaborate to ensure that this is done to Wikipedia's standards and practices please? How can I submit the necessary edits (changes in membership, new reports published, etc.) for approval? --GCDPMedia (talk) 08:53, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, GCDPMedia. I am sorry but your username is a violation of our username policy, but I do appreciate your frank disclosures and willingness to operate within Wikipedia'a Policies and guidelines. I am going to soft block your account and leave information on your user talk page. You can request a change of username or just open a new account with a policy compliant username. In the interim, please read about the mandatory Paid contributions disclosure, the guideline on conflict of interest editing and the formal edit request process. Once you have your new username, I can give you additional guidance. Cullen328 (talk) 20:49, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
Question from Donsteponmyeezy (21:52, 12 January 2026)
Awesome, I appreciate you taking the time. I made the account because of a Cancer research Initiative between Portugal and the United States that is getting almost no recognition. It's listed on several prestigious websites and has staff members from M.D. Anderson, Yale, and several Portuguese Universities. I saw that there was no information about this anywhere on Wikipedia, so I created a new page for the USA-PT Initiative against Cancer.
I started by editing the page of the primary leader of that organization, Monica-Bettencourt Dias. How long does it generally take for an article to be accepted or denied? I included ample sources in my edit. --Donsteponmyeezy (talk) 21:52, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Donsteponmyeezy. We are talking about Draft: USA-Portugal International Partnership for Cancer. Currently, the average time to review a draft is two to three weeks. But that depends entirely on when a volunteer chooses to review your specific draft. After taking a quick glance, I suspect that your draft will be declined. It seems to be lacking in references to reliable sources that are completely independent of the USA-Portugal International Partnership for Cancer, and devote significant coverage to that partnership. Such references are a necessary precondition for accepting the draft. Sources that consist of the partnership describing its own work do not count. Cullen328 (talk) 23:22, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advance notice- I will search for more applicable references. Unfortunately, many of the institutions that reference it are in Portuguese and are difficult to find. Is the Champalimaud foundation not considered independent and credible?
- This is in direct reference to the "Summer Cancer Bootcamp" described on this page:
- Additionally, the staff involved on the project are quite distinguished and well recognized in the medical field. A simple Google search returns this:
- "The USA-Portugal Initiative against Cancer (UPIC) is a collaborative effort to boost transatlantic cancer research, and Mónica Bettencourt-Dias, a leading Portuguese scientist from the Gulbenkian Institute (IGC), is a key figure, involved in coordinating training, like the International Portugal-USA Summer Course, to foster scientist exchanges between U.S. and Portuguese institutions and advance cancer research and treatment."
- Outside of Professor Dias, the team consists of:
- Ronald DePinho, MD Anderson Cancer Center
- Kevin Haigis, Dana-Farber, Harvard Medical School
- Tyler Jacks, Koch Institute, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- Katerina Politi, Yale Cancer Center
- And those are just the partners from the United States; there are also several distinguished members of the team from Portugal. What do you recommend I do to make the submission suitable for approval? Professor Dias does a lot to contribute to the field of Cancer research, and I'd like people to be able to find her current work.
- Regarding specific and credible references, here are two more direct references (Aside from Champalimaud:)

- Donsteponmyeezy, when I say that the references to reliable sources need to be independent, I mean fully and completely and indisputably independent. No reprints of press releases and completely uninfluenced by promotional or public relations efforts. The Champalimaud Foundation apparently sponsors or hosts a class related to this partnership and is therefore not independent. The involvement of prominent researchers only matters if independent sources discuss their participation in depth. An event listing put out by a host organization is not independent. For further details, please read the Notability guideline for companies and organizations, paying special attention to the explanation of what types of coverage do not help. When you write
I'd like people to be able to find her current work
, that is specifically not a valid reason for writing a Wikipedia article. We accept articles about notable topics only, and everything else is secondary to that. Cullen328 (talk) 05:36, 13 January 2026 (UTC)- Respectfully, if you don't find her work notable, you clearly haven't read anything I've written or even done a cursory Google Search of her name. Don't worry, I won't be back. Donsteponmyeezy (talk) 07:04, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- In all honesty, considering Wikipedia has no problem continuing to host articles like The Rorschach Test along with depictions of child nudity on album covers such as "The Virgin Killer," I'm a bit shocked that you don't find a transatlantic cancer research initiative hosted by some of the greatest scientific names in the field "notable" enough to be shared. It will come as no surprise to me when Wikipedia is inevitably shut down in a few years due to lack of funding. Good riddance. Donsteponmyeezy (talk) 07:11, 13 January 2026 (UTC)

Donsteponmyeezy, I am simply saying that in my opinion, the current version of your draft does not demonstrate that the topic is notable. You came to my talk page asking for advice, and as a highly experienced editor, I gave it. And you respond with hostility to my opinion and predict the downfall of Wikipedia. Despite 25 years of predictions of failure, Wikipedia remains a top ten website worldwide. Billions of people find Wikipedia useful. And as for lack of funding
, you are probably unaware that the Wikimedia Foundation has current cash assets in excess of over $270 million plus an endowment of over $140 million. The topic of your draft may well be notable, especially if the appropriate coverage exists in Portuguese which I do not speak. It is not my job to track down those sources. That is your job. Your hostile response to my sincere effort to give you honest feedback brings to mind the old adage "No good deed goes unpunished". Cullen328 (talk) 07:52, 13 January 2026 (UTC)

How do I take the page I wrote "Eli Z. Feldman" off of wikitia? --123Kevin.Spade! (talk) 18:48, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, 123Kevin.Spade!. What is "wikitia"? Cullen328 (talk) 20:20, 13 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from Taylor Nikcole (17:31, 14 January 2026)
How I am trying to create a wiki page about Brian Thalhammer I would love to feature his early life, career, personal life, features etc… how do I go about that? --Taylor Nikcole (talk) 17:31, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Taylor Nikcole. What you have written on your user page is inappropriate for Wikipedia. It is not neutral and is overtly promotional. Wikipedia editors do not write whatever we want or what pops into our heads. When writing about Thalhammer, your role is to summarize the significant coverage that reliable sources entirely independent of Thalhammer have published about him. And you need to create references to those reliable sources that verify the content. Keep in mind that Wikipedia is a reference work, not a social media platform. Our policies about anything written about living people are very strict. So, please remove what you have written there, and study Your first article carefully. - Interstellarity, thanks for sharing the story of your development as a Wikipedia editor. When I was the same age as you were when you started editing Wikipedia, John F. Kennedy was president of the US, Bob Dylan had his first hits, and Gregory Peck won an Oscar. Cullen328 (talk) 05:41, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- I was born just before the September 11 attacks. I wasn't even a month old when they happened. I know many people who remember presidents from before I was born like Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Reagan. I am just so impressed that almost every famous person you can think of almost certainly has a Wikipedia article especially the ones considered the greatest people of all time. I hope the 25th anniversary goes well for you. I feel like if Wikipedia were to suddenly collapse, which I think won't likely happen anytime soon, search engines like Google, voice assistants like Siri and Alexa, and AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Gemini would degrade in quality and I am grateful that Wikipedia has provided the knowledge that we all need in the age of misinformation, although the political articles can be a little shaky on here. Question from Idh1116 (18:03, 17 January 2026)
Hello, this is Ian Harris in all honesty I had rarely ever looked at my Wikipedia page. But I found out that several of my students have been looking at it. And there were a lot of discrepancies. So I filled it in with a bit of information about my competitive background. Everything I listed was 100% accurate… --Idh1116 (talk) 18:03, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Idh1116. You added content that is not verified by any of the references to reliable sources in the article. Wikipedia has a policy of Verifiability. Providing references to reliable, published sources is how we verify that any content is "100% accurate". You say that you are the subject of the article. That means that you have a conflict of interest. Instead of trying to edit this article directly, you should make formal, well-referenced edit requests at Talk: Ian Harris (tennis). If you let me know when you have done so, I will update the article for you. Cullen328 (talk) 18:45, 17 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from JZDOGGYBOY (00:21, 20 January 2026)
How to make one of those areas in pages where you press a button and it pops up a new section in the article.
for example, on the page for the united states, if you scroll down there is a button labeled history that if you push shows some new text --JZDOGGYBOY (talk) 00:21, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, JZDOGGYBOY. I assume that you are reading Wikipedia on the mobile site, and that you are referring to hidden sections of the article following the lead section. The desktop site does not hide sections. When using the source editor (which is what I use, you create a new section by placing two square brackets before your section name, two square brackets after, and then publish your edit. You can find much more detailed instructions at WP:SECTION. Cullen328 (talk) 01:26, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

Mobile editing
I think you are probably one of most famous advocates for mobile editing on the project. I think your insights at Wikipedia:Village pump (WMF)/Archive 13#Community-WMF relations would be incredibly valuable if you're free to offer them. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 02:01, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Clovermoss. "Famous" perhaps among a small group of people. I will have to think about your request. My engagement with and respect for the WMF has declined steadily over the years. They seem to be very good at raising and squandering money. I have repeatedly offered my assessments of the shortcomings in how editors working on smartphones are treated and in my opinion, things are still bad and actually getting worse. I wrote my essay over ten years ago and things are no better. I no longer have any hope that the WMF will make any substantive improvements. Cullen328 (talk) 05:20, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- Even just saying what you just did would be meaningful, if you don't feel up to more. You've tried in the past and haven't been listened to and that in itself is something that is important to tell people. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 06:46, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

Question
Hi Jim. Hope you have been well. I wanted to ask you a question about if you think these communities qualify for their own articles on Wikipedia, as I saw that the article of Lombard, California, was deleted some time ago.
According to the Florida HomeTownLocator, the populated place of Mendoza in Hillsborough County is located at the house with the address of 11811 N 51st Street in the Temple Terrace city limits. Based on this information, it appears to be a populated place associated with a specific address within the city limits of Temple Terrace. While it is not explicitly labeled as a neighborhood or subdivision, its location and classification suggest it could function as a small locality or community within Temple Terrace. It might not have formal boundaries like a designated subdivision but could still be recognized as a distinct area. Its unique identification might stem from historical or administrative reasons rather than being a planned residential area.
Based on the description from Puerto Rico HomeTownLocator, the populated place of Mendoza in Naguabo municipality, positioned at a roadway median on Puerto Rico Highway 53, does not align with the typical characteristics of a neighborhood or subdivision. Instead, it is more of a designated geographical point, possibly serving as a landmark or administrative feature. Its location in a roadway median suggests it may not include residential or organized community structures that are common in neighborhoods or subdivisions.
Mendoza (historical) is a former populated place in Sutter County, California. It is classified as a "historical" feature, meaning it no longer exists as an active community. The site is located near Live Oak, California, and falls within the ZIP Code delivery area of 95953. I have noticed that many communities designated as historical on the GNIS are called ghost towns here on Wikipedia.
The one in Missouri is no longer on the Geographic Names Information System's website or on HomeTownLocator, but because it was identified as a locale, this means that it was a geographic place in Missouri at which there is or was human activity. This definition does not include populated places such as cities or towns, but rather encompasses locations where human activity has occurred, such as camps, farms, or other dispersed sites.
As a result, I don't think these places qualify for their own Wikipedia articles, as stated on the notability guidelines. What do you think? Colman2000 (talk) 05:24, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Colman2000. Does a place that is not a recognized city or town qualify for a Wikipedia article? In my opinion, that depends entirely on whether or not the place has received significant, in depth coverage in several published, independent reliable sources. I think most experienced editors agree. That being said, I am not interested in seeking out borderline articles about such places to try to have them deleted. Cullen328 (talk) 06:57, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you, Jim. That makes a whole lot of sense. These four places do not have any significant, in-depth coverage in reliable sources (as far as my research went), just as you mentioned, so I agree that they do not qualify for Wikipedia articles. I wasn't even planning to create these; I was just curious. Thank you again, and enjoy the new year. Colman2000 (talk) 07:07, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
Question from Zioness on the Border (09:21, 25 January 2026)
Hi! I am interested in correcting some basic facts which have been written on a page about me (written and posted by someone else - I have no idea who, but for the most part, it is accurate). How can I make the minor changes? (For example - spelling on my name in Hebrew, the number of times I have been abroad on speaking tours since Oct 2023). I cannot give citations aside from my own personal knowledge of facts of my life.
Thank you in advance Adele Raemer aka: Zioness on the Border --Zioness on the Border (talk) 09:21, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Zioness on the Border. In most cases, the subject of a Wikipedia biography is discouraged from directly editing that article, except in cases of overt vandalism. In your particular case, there is an additional restriction because of your connection with the Israel-Palestine conflict. Editors must be highly experienced and fully aware of the relevant policies and guidelines to be permitted to work on any such article related to that conflict. There is informatiin about that on your user talk page. That being said, we want the article about you to be accurate. The best way for you to offer input is by making a formal edit request at Talk: Adele Raemer. As far as the correct Hebrew transliteration, please provide a link or two there to Hebrew language coverage of you by reliable sources. The same applies to any further factual changes that you want to make. As a matter of policy, we cannot rely on your personal knowledge alone. Links to reliable sources verifying the content are required. I am pinging (alerting) Jay8g, the editor who reverted you. Jay8g, would you be willing to assist this editor/article subject by implementing verifiable factual changes? Thank you. Cullen328 (talk) 20:05, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

Why do you think that he meets Wikipedia's guidelines as a notable person? Cullen328 (talk) 19:12, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
Essay
I recently made an relatively short essay but I'm hesitant to move Wikipedia namespace as I wanna be sure it doesn't "overtly contradict consensus" as outlined in WP:Policy. As a user with extensive experience in regard, I'd really appreciate it if you could help me gauge if it strays too far from consensus to move. If you don't care, feel free to decline to check it out, I would absolutely understand. Thank you! - Otherwise (Talk?) 09:50, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Mustbeotherwise. I think that your essay is useful and I see nothing in it that "overtly contradict consensus". The views you express are entirely legitimate and I see no problem moving it to the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for writing the essay. Cullen328 (talk) 05:16, 29 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from Kaycee231 (11:12, 7 February 2026)
I want to create Wikipedia profile for myself. So when people search my name. It comes up and details about me shows --Kaycee231 (talk) 11:12, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) @Kaycee231: Please do not. See WP:AUTOB. While writing about yourself is not disallowed, it is strongly discouraged. - UtherSRG (talk) 16:32, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
- Kaycee231, please explain why you think that you are eligible for an encyclopedia biography. Please be aware that our notability requirements for living people are very stringent. How do you qualify? Cullen328 (talk) 21:24, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hello,
- Thank you for your message. Yes, I believe I am eligible for a Wikipedia biography, and I can provide all the required information and independent sources to verify my notability.
- I am a businessperson based in Saudi Arabia, and over the years I have established a strong reputation in my field. My work has been covered by reliable, independent media outlets, and I have been publicly recognized for my professional achievements. I can provide third-party news articles, interviews, profiles, and other sources that meet Wikipedia’s notability guidelines for living people.
- I understand that Wikipedia has very strict requirements and that notability must be proven through independent coverage, not self-published material. I am prepared to share all the necessary documentation to demonstrate that I meet these standards.
- Please let me know what additional information you need from me. Kaycee231 (talk) 18:19, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
- Kaycee231, are you the CEO of a large corporation? Is there currently a Wikipedia article about your company? Please be aware that self-promotion of any kind is not permitted on Wikipedia. Interviews are not independent sources since they consist of you talking about yourself and your business ventures. Most things called "profiles" are of no value since significant, in-depth coverage is required, not brief profile sketches or listicles of the "Thirty under 30" variety. It is unlikely that any competent Wikipedia editor will write an article for you unless you have highly exceptional accomplishments and coverage. You will have to write a draft article yourself and submit it through the Articles for Creation process. Begin by studying the Notability guideline for people. Then, study Wikipedia's three core content policies, which follow. It will be very difficult for you to comply with the Neutral point of view since almost all people have a hard time writing neutrally about themselves. No original research will also be a challenge because it requires you to effectively "forget" everything you know about yourself when you write. Verifiability requires that you cannot include anything that is not verified by a reference to a published reliable source. These policies are applied stringently, especially to editors attempting to write an autobiography. Once you have a deep understanding of these policies, then begin studying Your first article. Another important resource is Referencing for beginners. I want to caution you about paid editing services. Almost all of these are scams out to take your money. Stay away. You should know that the vast majority - well over 99% - of people who try to write Wikipedia autobiographies fail. This is often a frustrating experience for them and the volunteers who review their work. The rare ones who succeed are indisputably notable people with a high level of self-discipline and it usually takes them many months of work and repeated submissions to get their autobiographies accepted. And when those articles get into the encyclopedia they are often heavily modified by other editors quite quickly. You will have no control over such an article once it gets into Wikipedia. Administrators' newsletter – February 2026
News and updates for administrators from the past month (January 2026).
- Due to the result of a recent motion, a rough consensus of administrators at the arbitration enforcement noticeboard may impose an expanded topic ban on Israel, Israelis, Jews, Judaism, Palestine, Palestinians, Islam, and/or Arabs, if an editor's Arab-Israeli conflict topic ban is determined to be insufficient to prevent disruption. At least one diff per area expanded into should be cited.
- Voting in the 2026 Steward elections started on 06 February 2026 at 14:00 (UTC) and will end on 27 February 2026 at 14:00 (UTC). The confirmation process for current stewards is being held in parallel. You can automatically check your eligibility to vote.

User:Stephenfoery
Re the thread at WP:HD, I feel that Stephenfoery's statement on his user page is highly inappropriate, but am unsure what criteria to delete the page comes under. Should I just blank it with an appropriate edit summary? Mjroots (talk) 09:03, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Mjroots. I agree that it is inappropriate and already expressed that opinion as you know. I do not want to edit the page myself. I do not want to be perceived as ganging up on that editor. They are asking for an accounting. It might be appropriate to provide that accounting just below: that the content was deleted as promotion/advertising through normal processes at a specific date and time, by an administrator. And that there was no homophobic motivation. I am pinging Significa liberdade, the deleting administrator, for her input. Thanks for your willingness to wrestle with this issue. Cullen328 (talk) 19:44, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

User:KissyBOR
I noticed you blocked User:CHSITTeam for a promotional account name and a promotional edit with the edit summary "not true", although the information was cited correctly. I'd like to point out that before this, User:KissyBOR made an earlier edit to the page, with the exact same removal and summary. I'm wondering if I should post this on SPI, but I am a relatively new editor and have never dealt with (potential) sockpuppets before and I read this. If I should have put this somewhere else please let me know! Thanks for your time! Crazy chicken nugget (talk) 21:45, 18 February 2026 (UTC)

Do I have to complete a task before I can publish changes? thanks --TechGuy44 (talk) 23:32, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hello. TechGuy44. This edit to my talk page is your only edit so far. Is it possible that you were trying to edit protected articles? If you give me the specific article names, I will look into it for you. Cullen328 (talk) 01:06, 19 February 2026 (UTC)

- TechGuy44, that article is unprotected and the last edit to it was on January 7, 2026. It was last protected, briefly, way back in 2014. There is no technical reason why you should be unable to edit it. Try again and let me know if you succeeded. Cullen328 (talk) 17:46, 19 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Load&look (20:50, 22 February 2026)
Hi and thank you, how now after practicing & editing "How do I load my article from my Sandbox??? --Load&look (talk) 20:50, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Load&look. We are discussing User:Load&look/sandbox. I am assuming that by "load" you mean adding this content to the encyclopedia. I am sorry, but it is nowhere near ready for that. The biggest and most obvious problem is that your sandbox draft is entirely unreferenced, failing the core content policy Verifiability. An acceptable Wikipedia article summarizes the significant, in-depth coverage that published independent reliable sources devote to the topic. Your draft does not say that this person was a boxer. I had to infer that. You also repeatedly refer to Facebook without proper formatting, which is not a reliable source for use on Wikipedia, since anybody can write whatever they want on Facebook with no fact checking. Please read and study Your first article and make the necessary changes. Please also check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Boxing for some specific guidance. We have 34 Good Articles and seven Featured Articles about boxing that you can use as models. Cullen328 (talk) 21:09, 22 February 2026 (UTC)

- Load&look, no reviewer (or reader) is going to pour through 2000 sources of widely varying quality. It is your responsibility to properly cite specific sources that verify specific content, and establish that this person is a notable athlete by Wikipedia standards. how can i be allowed to translate --Bonani Bless (talk) 10:39, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Bonani Bless. As a new editor, you have a lot to learn about how to create an acceptable new article on the English Wikipedia. Whether writing a completely new article or translating an article from another language, you need to comply with the Policies and guidelines of the English Wikipedia. Read and study Your first article. Your new account cannot create new articles directly or use semi-automated translating tools yet. But you can manually translate and submit drafts to the Articles for Creation process. Read WP:TRANSLATE and WP:TRANSLATEUS for guidance on translating to and from English.
