Your submission at Articles for creation: Don Holland (October 12)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Theroadislong was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

The comment the reviewer left was:
Thank you for your efforts to date. At this stage it is difficult to determine whether the subject here meets Wikipedia's definition of notable, which is required for an entry. This is demonstrated via reliable sources, and that is the issue here. There is one story from an online magazine, which is a less than perfect start point. There are 2 references to an offline book, but they seem to be particular races. Plus a driver database (which is useful, but not for notability) and an offline magazine pointing to specific races.

There are two options here, but I think one does not apply: WP:NMOTORSPORTS, which seems F1 and NASCAR oriented. The other is WP:BASIC, which needs ideally 3 independent sources, to give a decent length profile of the subject. If at a stretch we say one comes from V8Sleuth (which seems more slanted to his son), that still needs two more, or at least one more really good source.

So I think some more work is needed here.

More minor point, the last race in 1981 seems unsourced.
