Structure of the Swedish Army

edit

Please have a look at: Talk:Structure of the Swedish Army, as there is much more info about the current/future organization of the Swedish Army there, which I took from a Swedish Armed Forces document (FM2023-24770:26) published on 5 June 2024. noclador (talk) 14:08, 28 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about Space Division (Sweden)

edit

Hello Kålrabbis, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Space Division (Sweden), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Space Division (Sweden).

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Cloventt}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Information icon Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Eurasian nuthatch. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Of course, i'm well aware but i very much forgot. My bad. Thank you for letting me know! Kålrabbis (talk) 07:23, 1 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Scientific name authorities

edit

Please stop. Parenthesis have a specific meaning in scientific name authorities. Removing them is not appropriate. The name used in the authorities should also not be changed, such as you did on mute swan. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:49, 1 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I'll do that. I should have checked MOS:ORGANISMS first—appreciate the correction! Kålrabbis (talk) 15:31, 1 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Swedish Army brigades, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Boden. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

List of equipment of Swedish Military

edit

I see that I'm quite a bit late, but your version of "cleaning up" the page was just deleting an absurd amount of info.

I mean, all of the English names removed in favor of only the Swedish designation, all of the information on specific variants, and all of the images?

A lot of that info, such as variants, is not present anywhere else on Wikipedia other than the article's history. I have to ask why? Every other version of these pages for every other country includes images, English names, and specifics about variants, configuration, role, etc. What makes it irrelevant solely in the context of Sweden? WaltSevenThree (talk) 20:43, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, and yes, I get what you mean. However, the goal wasn’t really to remove useful info, but more to clean things up and make the page easier to use.
One of the main issues before was formatting, especially on mobile. The tables got pretty messy with images, long notes, and lots of variant entries, and it made the page harder to read and navigate on smaller screens. That’s why I tried to simplify things a bit, move some of the longer notes into footnotes, and cut down on things that were mostly just adding clutter.
Same with the English names and variants — they’re not inherently a problem, but when there’s a lot of them and they’re not always clearly sourced or consistently used, it can make the article feel a bit overloaded. My thinking was that the main list should stay fairly clean, and more detailed stuff can go in the individual articles where it fits better.
I’m not against adding things back though. If there are specific details that are well-sourced and can be included without making the page harder to use again, I’m happy to take a look and figure out a good way to include them.
Also, some of the changes were made to better align with MOS and general Wikipedia guidelines on layout and content. Kålrabbis (talk) 06:43, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

icon Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Suvorov's Swiss campaign, you may be blocked from editing. Don't disrupt Wikipedia to make a point. Veggies (talk) 02:04, 27 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Regarding Suvorov's Swiss campaign — that edit was an accidental misclick while reviewing the article's history. I had no intention of editing that article and I apologize for the disruption. Separately, I'd still appreciate a policy-based response to the points I raised on your talk page regarding Rafah and Beit Hanoun, as the two matters are unrelated. I have to ask...

edit

Är ditt användarnamn en ordlek på "kålrabbi" och det gutniska dialektordet för "vildkanin", "rabbis"?

[the Swedish text above is a difficult-to-translate question about a possible bidialectal pun.] --bonadea contributions talk 15:03, 15 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

When I created this account, I just took the Swedish name for Kohlrabi and added an "s" to the end. There really isn't any deeper meaning behind it, but I wish I were creative enough to come up with a wordplay like that! Kålrabbis (talk) 11:35, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
