This is OCLC 587455. (There are probably other OCLC records for it too. I haven't looked.)
There's a large and growing literature about photobooks. (Parr and Badger's three-volume The Photobook: A History is the best-known.) Are there no commments on In Pictures in any of these works?
We read:
The [book's] comical texts were written by a group of Connell’s screenwriter friends and Hollywood insiders, including Gene Fowler, Grover Jones, Nunnally Johnson, Patterson McNutt. The images and text [complement] each other and reflect the often farcical and factory like nature of the Hollywood studio system.
According to whom?
We read:
The book is beautifully reproduced. . . .
According to whom?
Elsewhere, too, comments on the skill or success (or indeed shortcomings or failures) of the book should be attributed to the writers who made them: they shouldn't be in "Wikipedia's voice".
We read:
a slipcase that featured alternating cover images
What does this mean? (The reader may be able to guess, but shouldn't have to guess.)

- hi, I've made the edits you suggested. I actually have the 3 volumes of Parr and Badger's History of The Photobook and 'In Pictures' is not included. It is a lesser known but outstanding work that deserves wider attention, which is why I wanted to create this article. Thanks Avant Camera (talk) 04:54, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
