MCE89 (talk) 11:46, 28 June 2025 (UTC)- Thanks for the review and feedback. I recognize the move from Class C to Class B requires some clean up to address the gaps or clean up on writing but I'm afraid I don't know where to start.
- The only thing I know for sure is that I saw references to Clouthier's involvement in the Floating Lab Collective (specifically a photograph in 2005 that I cannot seem to find). I'll keep trying to track that down with the founder of floating lab collective. Outside of that I'm not sure where the gaps are.
- Is the bigger issue the writing, the gaps, or the resources? Do you have any recommendations on where to start? ArtSpaz (talk) 14:46, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! To be honest I wouldn't really worry too much about the content assessment grades — apart from grades GA, A and FA, which have specific assessment processes, the other grades are just a fairly rough indication of an article's quality. You can refer to the specific criteria at WP:GRADES. In terms of suggestions on improving the article, the main thing that stands out is that there are still a handful of unsourced statements. As a few examples, these statements don't yet have citations:
...has lived and worked in the Washington DC metro area since 2000
...and the Floating Art Collective.
Clouthier's first solo show was at the Antonio Lopez Saenz Gallery, Culiacan (1998) in Mexico followed by her first U.S. solo show at the Mackey Gallery (Formerly 527) in Houston, Texas (2000). She has since held several solo shows internationally.
- There are also some places where the source does not fully support the information in the article. For instance, the paragraph that begins
In 1987, Clouthier's father, Manuel (often referred to as Maquio), ran for the presidency of Mexico...
is sourced only to this article, which doesn't verify all of the information in that paragraph. - So my main suggestion for improving the article would just be to focus on source-text integrity and make sure that everything in the article is backed up by a reliable secondary source. Hopefully that helps — let me know if you have any other questions! MCE89 (talk) 15:02, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking the time to help me. Your feedback really put a lot of things in perspective. I have an idea of where to pull more resources and build out some notes. ArtSpaz (talk) 04:02, 1 July 2025 (UTC)

- Hello, ArtSpaz,
- Please stop pointlessly moving around your draft article to unsuitable namespaces. If you continue, you will lose your editing privileges. If your draft article is ready to be reviewed, then submit it to WP:AFC so it can be evaluated. But don't move drafts to project/Wikipedia namespace or to an orphaned talk space or it might just be deleted next time.
- If you have questions about draft articles or page moving, then bring them to the Teahouse where experienced editors can off you advice, support and a second opinion. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 21:49, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- I saw your comment on another editor's User talk page that you don't know how to submit a draft article for review. WP:AFC gives instructions on how to do this but basically, you post {{subst:submit}} at the top of the page. Liz Read! Talk! 21:56, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hey ArtSpaz, I wanted to let you know that I have closed the peer review page you opened for Draft:Edgar Endress. The peer review process is only for existing articles; I see you've already submitted it to Articles for creation, which is the correct process to use for drafts. Devonian Wombat (talk) 21:47, 1 May 2026 (UTC)Speedy deletion nomination of Eduardo Chaillo
edit
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Eduardo Chaillo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.

- Please advise as to why this was deleted citing specifics. I did significant research and the person referenced is in significant news sources. I ran through AI to verify tone. I was was given no indication why this was considered promotional and why it was suddenly deleted. ArtSpaz (talk) 15:24, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- And i know significant is a problem word but there were many visible news sources like LA times, CNN, DC cable tv, El Universale, Jornal, etc. ArtSpaz (talk) 15:26, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. This contribution reads like a CV. Please ensure that you comply with the Wikipedia:Neutral point of view policy. Deb (talk) 07:15, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- Good morning. To my understanding this was my private sandbox. I was copying and pasting from articles so that I can pull in content to restructure to start writing. Why would a private sandbox would be deleted while in draft form? ArtSpaz (talk) 15:14, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry but we cannot have promotional content anywhere. Drmies (talk) 15:37, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

editHi. I noticed that, after the draft was accepted, you included external links in the text and made other edits that seemed promotional. I've reverted to an earlier version and would ask you to re-read Wikipedia:NPOV before attempting further edits. Deb (talk) 07:20, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
Your submission at Articles for creation: Tianguis Turístico (May 11)
edit
Wikipedia articles must be written neutrally in a formal, impersonal, and dispassionate way. They should not read like a blog post, advertisement, or fan page. Rewrite the draft to remove:
- promotional language: see Words to watch;
- personal commentary: opinions or direct addresses to the reader;
- informal language.
Instead, only summarize in your own words a range of independent, reliable, published sources that discuss the subject.
If you have a conflict of interest (e.g. you are the subject, an employee, or a relative) or are being paid to edit, you must disclose this to comply with Wikipedia's Terms of Use.Next steps

- Please advise on what was considered promotional. This is an organization that has been around for 75 years. I ran this through several AI testers to verify there were no wikipedia promotional terms. My spanish is not great so I had to lean on sources that had english translation options but there were several. ArtSpaz (talk) 15:30, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- I don't know what "running it through AI testers" means, but the article was full of the typical AI-slop we see all the time. I mean, "The event functions as a marketplace for tourism products and services, facilitating pre‑scheduled business meetings between Mexican suppliers and international buyers while also serving as a forum to market emerging destinations and tourism investment opportunities"--seriously? Just stop already. Drmies (talk) 15:38, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- User:Deb, I am going to slap a "no promo" warning on this user page, to make the point clear--esp. after looking at that Irene Clouthier article. We could also consider an LLM block. Drmies (talk) 15:41, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, that sounds sensible. Deb (talk) 15:44, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- I'm sorry you both felt my writing is too promotional and this was so upsetting. I genuinely reached out for clarification because I tried to avoid words that I thought would be triggering. Promoting or soapboxing is not my intention, I was trying to contribute in a positve way. I felt the words were describing their mission and function not promoting a person or event.
- Thanks Deb for sharing that linking to the official site is considered promotional (I thought linking to an official site was the norm given this is often present on many wikipedia entries I have reviewed). I updated when I felt I missed somethig or a new article came out that I thought would deepen the entry. I will revisit the documentation on when to use external links.
- In the meantime, I was unable to find any write-ups that gave a critical review of the a tourist fair. Since it is a mechanism to promote Mexico's economy, there isn't a lot of alternate views and language for tourism is inherently optimistic. But I will keep looking for something to give an alternate view of it's value. ArtSpaz (talk) 20:25, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
