Illinois ODP
editI saw that you nominated the Illinois Girls Olympic Development Program article for speedy deletion under G11 and A7. This program is not a promotional piece or a non-notable subject. It is a state affiliate of U.S. Youth Soccer and has produced multiple players who went on to compete at the professional and international level—including Olympic medalists like Casey Krueger. The article is being actively revised to remove any non-neutral language and to include coverage from independent and reliable sources. If you feel parts of the article were too close to promotional or lacked sufficient citations, that’s a fair concern—but it’s something that can be improved through editing rather than deletion. I'd appreciate it if you would consider withdrawing the speedy tag to allow for constructive editing, and next time please give an article a few minutes to breathe and be improved before pulling the trigger. Thanks for your time. Milicz (talk) 20:12, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
- This revision Here indicates that the piece created isn’t notable enough, it meets one of the criteria for speedy deletion, I see you have been on Wikipedia for years, doesn’t that article look promotional? Wikipedia is not a blog where you list stuffs and its role, its not a place to discuss goals and and objectives of various entries, content should be ENCYCLOPEDIC in writing, the article is poorly structured, wrong use of (=) and so on. It should probably be deleted or better still moved to draft for a fresh start and proper clean up. Allblessed (talk) 20:22, 19 June 2025 (UTC)

Your addition to Marvy has been removed or altered, as it appears to closely paraphrase a copyrighted source. Limited close paraphrasing or quotation is appropriate within reason, so long as the material is clearly attributed in the text. However, longer paraphrases, especially if they are not attributed to their source, may constitute copyright violation and/or plagiarism, and are not acceptable on Wikipedia. Such content cannot be hosted here for legal reasons; please do not post it on any page, even if you plan to fix it later. You may use external websites or printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If you own the copyright to the text, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the copyright but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.
Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Dclemens1971 (talk) 04:02, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Dayo Sax when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

Thanks for your contributions to Sam Adejo. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Mekomo (talk) 07:37, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
