Hello, I'm Alxeedo. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Adam Smith (Washington politician) seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Alxeedo TALK 00:12, 5 February 2025 (UTC)

You have shown interest in the Russo-Ukrainian War. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic. For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. |

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Rich McCormick. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. —Eyer (he/him) If you reply, add {{reply to|Eyer}} to your message. 00:10, 24 February 2025 (UTC)

Consensus and civility
editHey all,
I noticed a lot of bandwidth going against achieving consensus, and thought it would be a good idea to take a look at this. Pause. Augmented Seventh (talk) 00:20, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- What in any my edits has been factually incorrect? 173.67.182.46 (talk) 00:49, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- Augmented Seventh, this guy is replacing "Republican Party" with "Ameircan Nazi Party"--yeah, with that spelling. There's nothing here to talk about (not sure what kind of consensus you were looking for), and these talk page responses by the IP, that's just trolling and I'm going to put a stop to it. Drmies (talk) 00:54, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- Why is that incorrect? The Republican Party is run by illiterate Nazis. Not sure what I have done wrong here. 173.67.182.46 (talk) 01:12, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- Noted, your query is. Under advisement, consider it taken.

Hello, I'm Moriwen. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ollie Pope, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Moriwen (talk) 17:36, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- You mean Ollie Pope isn’t nicknamed The Condor?! Then what’s with all that merch that olliepope.gov.uk has been selling?!!!!! 173.67.182.46 (talk) 17:37, 26 March 2025 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
editYou have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
