Wikipedia editors have been noticing some oddly suspicious articles created for "non-famous" or "unwell-known" people, in which the people are making articles about themselves. At Wikipedia, we do not allow others to make articles about themselves, so right now, here are the reasons why you shouldn't make an article about yourself.
(Jokingly presenting why)
Reasons
edit
- You are not famous, infamous, or well-known, even though you are at your school or college, just because you do sports, but on the outside of school, you just watch television all day.
- You might have ignored the first reason and moved on, so you tried to make a picture of yourself but the camera quality is so low because you haven't updated your IPhone or Android.
- You may have gone on Google and searched up "Free Famous People That Look Like Me, 100+ Free Stock Images", picked an image, and posted it on Wikimedia Commons, but soon find out that people who are familiar with the picture you've posted know who it is, and report you for pirating or false information.
- You still make a Wikipedia article about yourself anyways, but you get checked by an editor, and they put the page on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/(your name).
- You like memes and you post multiple of them on your article, but get reported for spamming.
- 9 (haha)
- You've created multiple articles that keep getting set up for deletion, so then your Wikipedia account gets deleted.
- Once you make a new account, you go back at it again.
- You decide to make an article about your life, and once you post the article, its on Wikipedia for only 4 minutes before it gets set up for deletion.
- You might not know how to write.
- Why are you still reading this?
- You take your picture again, but get distracted by your dog because you forgot to feed them.
- After you go through all the accusations, deletions, distractions, and accounts you decide to give up.[a]
Notes
edit- ↑ You finally gave up, bye.
