About me
editHello, and welcome to my user page.
My name is Laurent Lafayne. I am a French banking executive based in the Alpes-Maritimes region of France, with professional activity in both France and the Principality of Monaco. I have been involved in trade union representation in the banking sector since the age of 25.
Since 2025, I have also served as the elected Prince of Araucania and Patagonia (Antoine V), a micronational and symbolic role connected to the historical legacy of Orélie-Antoine de Tounens and to cultural exchanges with Mapuche communities in Chile and Argentina.
Interests on Wikipedia
editOn Wikipedia, I am mainly interested in:
- History of Araucania and Patagonia
- Indigenous cultures of southern Chile and Argentina
- Micronations and alternative political systems
- Franco-Chilean historical relations
- Biographical and institutional documentation
- Improving neutrality, sourcing, and structure in related articles
My approach
editI aim to contribute in a constructive, neutral, and well-sourced manner. My focus is on:
- improving article clarity
- adding reliable secondary sources
- ensuring historical accuracy
- supporting cross-language consistency between French, English, and Spanish Wikipedias
Conflict of interest notice
editBecause I hold a symbolic role within the Kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia, I avoid directly editing articles about:
- Antoine V
- The Kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia
- Related biographies or institutional pages
Instead, I use talk pages or request edits from uninvolved editors to maintain neutrality and transparency, in accordance with Wikipedia’s conflict of interest guidelines.
