Requesting infobox edits

edit

Hi, this is a request that I'm making as an employee of ClimateWorks Foundation, acting on the organization's behalf.

Starting small, I want to suggest two additions to the infobox table that seem to be commonly included in other non-profit organization Wikipedia articles:

Also, the logo in the infobox is our old logo. Our new logo file is here: https://www.climateworks.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/cw-logo-white-bg.svg

Could someone review and make these updates? If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. I'm planning more requests to help add better sourcing to this article and correct and update information about the organization, so if editors have any pointers, that would be appreciated. TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 18:50, 4 March 2026 (UTC)

Hello! I've  Implemented the infobox changes, though for the new logo, you will need to upload it to Commons first via the upload wizard, and file a VRT ticket (the upload wizard will provide instructions for how to do so.) monkeysmashingkeyboards (talk) 18:55, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
Thanks, User:MSK! Can I ask: is it possible to add "foundation" in the Type, as well as "non-profit"? Also, I was able to upload the logo on Wikimedia Commons, here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:ClimateWorks_Logo_2026.svg
Would you mind adding this to the infobox now? Thanks! TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 22:24, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
 Done monkeysmashingkeyboards (talk) 23:48, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
Thanks, User:MSK! If you're around, I hope you'll be able to look at my future requests. TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 18:06, 17 March 2026 (UTC)

Requesting Organization addition and changes to Partnerships and donors

edit

Hi, this is another request that I'm making as an employee of ClimateWorks Foundation, acting on the organization's behalf.

For this request, I suggest adding a section that provides an overview of how the foundation is organized. I suggest keeping a short summary about leadership within this section and removing the overly detailed paragraph about past leadership from the History. I also suggest putting the section about donors as a subsection within this one. In short, the draft below includes:

  • A summary of how the foundation is organized and the geographic split of its work
  • Summary of leadership (allowing the details about leadership from the History to be cut, since they seem too in the weeds about those individuals’ past and future roles)
  • Moved the section about donors to be a subsection of this suggested new section
  • Retitled "Partnerships and donors" to "Donors and grantees"; the current content and my suggested update don't include any actual "partnerships", so it feels more accurate and less confusing to title this "Donors and grantees"
  • Rewritten content about donors, to summarize major donors
  • A paragraph summarizing regional grantees, which would replace the sentences about Greenpeace India (which feels more appropriate for that organization's article; the funding was not a major grant for ClimateWorks) and Energy Foundation and Green Tech, since that one is flagged as not having a reliable source, and is less recent

Could someone review the draft and make these changes? Let me know if I can answer any questions or help with anything. TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 17:48, 27 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi User:MSK, would you be willing to review this request too? Thanks! TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 22:24, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
Hello! A question, is ClimateWorks is organized as a non-profit foundation [...] intentional? If it isn't, then ClimateWorks is a non-profit foundation [...] is more grammatical. msk 22:40, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for replying so soon, User:MSK! Yes, it was intentional as a formal way to state that the foundation is officially registered as a non-profit, but either phrasing is fine. If you think it's better to say "is a non-profit" that works just as well. Do you have any other feedback about the request? TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 03:43, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
I think "is a non-profit" probably is enough, since the infobox and lead make it clear enough that ClimateWorks isn't some kind of unregistered non-profit (which iirc the guidelines disallows anyways). I'll hopefully finish reviewing and implementing your suggested edits tomorrow. Cheers! msk 04:03, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
Should be  Done. msk 19:52, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for the review, User:MSK, it looks great! TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 23:36, 7 May 2026 (UTC)

Requesting History changes

edit

Hi, this is my next request that I'm making as an employee of ClimateWorks Foundation representing the organization.

For this new request, I suggest updating the History for a full summary of the organization. Right now, the History heavily focuses on the founders and gives a lot of weight to details that could be summarized or even trimmed. In short, the draft below:

  • Summarizes the founding history, removing the overly detailed explanation of the initial strategy
  • Removes the paragraph about two former leaders sourced from a press release and a profile page
  • Removes the sentence about a discussion at Climate Week in 2018 since this seems like a minor/non encyclopedic detail
  • Adds sources and details about the foundation's developments to present day

I've tried to keep this succinct to help reviewers. Please let me know if there are additional details I can share. TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 18:39, 20 May 2026 (UTC)

Hi there, User:MSK and thanks again for the help so far. Would you be able to review this update, too? Thanks in advance! TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 18:20, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
I'm a bit busy right now with other (some of it onwiki) stuff right now so I won't be able to fully review this in the near future, however some at first glance suggestions.
  • first 3 sentences are all about the founding of CW and are a bit redundant to each other
  • There might be too much detail on the Design to Win report, some of it could probably be trimmed
  • The sentence on criticism in the 2020s could probably be expanded to explain the explicit rationale behind the criticism.
  • The "By XXXX, the organization had _____ billion in grants" might do better moved to the donors and grantees section.
Cheers, msk 18:59, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for the quick reply, User:MSK. I'll work on making some updates to the draft with this feedback and get back to you soon. Appreciate your help. TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 23:39, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

Thanks again for that initial feedback, User:MSK. Below is an updated version that:

  • Trims down the first few sentences to make it less repetitive
  • Reduce details about the Design to Win report. I had included more because of the article's current level of detail, but it's fine to briefly mention the report if you think that’s best.
  • Added a line to explain the 2020 critiques
  • Removed the sentences about the amount of grants awarded. Could this sentence be added to Donors and grantees? As of 2026, the foundation had made around $2 billion in grants to organizations and initiatives globally.[1]

Thanks! TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 19:18, 2 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi again, User:MSK. A quick note here that I'll be reaching out to WikiProject Climate Change to see if anyone has time to review this. Your review is very welcome if you have the time, but understand if you're busy. TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 17:38, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
@TDM for ClimateWorks Thanks for going through the process, I have posted the update -- I removed a few sentences, that seem to put undo emphasis on initiatives or practices "specific to ClimeateWorks's self-identity". I did a couple of fact checks and links, but for future updates:
  • it would be great to have more external coverage if you have it, especially about the impact of specific programs.
Sadads (talk) 22:21, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
 DoneSadads (talk) 22:23, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
Thank you, User:Sadads! All the changes you made make sense to me. I'll definitely keep your suggestion in mind for future updates, though I'm happy to see the page updated for now. Thanks for reviewing this. TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 21:03, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

Requesting introduction changes and infobox correction

edit

Hi, this is a new request that I'm making as an employee of ClimateWorks Foundation representing the organization.

Now that the rest of the article has been updated, I have a small correction for the infobox and I also suggest cleaning up the introduction and providing a straightforward overview of ClimateWorks Foundation.

For the infobox, as the History discusses and as confirmed by multiple sources, the founders of ClimateWorks are the three foundations: Hewlett Foundation, McKnight Foundation and Packard Foundation. Can the "founder" entry in the infobox be changed from Hal Harvey (who was the first CEO) to:

For the introduction, the draft below:

  • Removes the outdated sentence about the organization's mission, replacing it with a simple statement that the foundation focuses on climate change
  • Adds a sentence noting the organization's founders
  • Removes sentence about the 2016 listing as a Top 100 Charity by Forbes, as this is included in the History but doesn't seem important enough for the introduction
  • Removed the sentence about the Partner Circle, as while this is correct this doesn't feel important enough for the introduction and doesn't have an independent souce
  • Added a simple statement to note that ClimateWorks provides grants and support to other organizations
  • Added a sentence that notes the amount of grants given as of 2026

User:MSK or User:Sadads would either of you be able to review this request? Thanks! TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 17:50, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi User:MSK, sorry if you've already seen this, but I'm hoping that you might have time to review this as it's a smaller request? TDM for ClimateWorks (talk) 23:12, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

Suggested updates to El Especialito article

edit

Hello. I am requesting updates to the El Especialito article because several details appear to be outdated. I have a conflict of interest because I work with El Especialito / Ibarria Media Group, so I am not editing the article directly. I am asking an independent editor to review the proposed changes below. Suggested updates: Lead section Current text:

El Especialito is a free Spanish language weekly newspaper magazine, which was originally published under the name of El Especial in the 1980s and renamed in the 1990s. It was founded by Cuban American entrepreneur Antonio Ibarria and is distributed by United States Distributions Inc in northeastern New Jersey, New York City and Miami.

Requested replacement:

El Especialito is a free Spanish-language weekly newspaper serving Hispanic communities in New York and New Jersey. It is owned by Ibarria Media Group and was founded by Cuban American publisher Antonio Ibarria. The publication began as El Especial in 1985 and evolved into El Especialito in 1996.

Reason:

The current wording includes outdated distribution information, including Miami, and does not clearly explain the publication’s history. A 2024 NewsBeat feature published by the New York Press Association states that Antonio Ibarria became publisher of El Especial in 1985 and that the publication evolved into El Especialito in 1996. It also describes El Especialito as serving Spanish-language readers across the metropolitan New York region.

Sources:

NewsBeat, February 2024, “El Especialito’s American success story”
New York Daily News, October 30, 2016, “N.J. businessman, publisher of largest Spanish-language weekly newspaper, master of reinvention”

Distribution section Current text:

El Especialito is distributed to more than 5,500 yellow news racks in thirteen independent zones. With a weekly publication of 250,000 copies reaching more than one million readers, it the largest Hispanic weekly in the US.

Requested replacement:

El Especialito is distributed weekly through its yellow newspaper boxes and print editions in New York and New Jersey. As of 2024, the newspaper prints 230,000 copies each Friday. Its New York distribution includes the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan, while its New Jersey distribution includes Hudson, Passaic, Essex, Union, Middlesex and Bergen counties.

Reason:

The current text includes an outdated circulation figure and references Miami distribution, which is no longer current. The 2024 NewsBeat feature states that El Especialito prints 230,000 papers each Friday and circulates in New York City and northern New Jersey.

Source:

NewsBeat, February 2024, “El Especialito’s American success story”

Infobox circulation Current text:

270,000 (as of 2015)

Requested replacement:

230,000 weekly

Reason:

The current circulation number is outdated. A 2024 NewsBeat feature states that El Especialito prints 230,000 papers each Friday.

Source:

NewsBeat, February 2024, “El Especialito’s American success story”

Infobox circulation date Current text:

2015

Requested replacement:

2024

Reason:

The updated circulation figure is supported by the February 2024 NewsBeat feature.

Source:

NewsBeat, February 2024, “El Especialito’s American success story”

Infobox headquarters Current text:

3510 Bergenline Avenue, Union City, New Jersey

Requested replacement:

3711 Hudson Avenue, Union City, New Jersey 07087

Reason:

The listed headquarters address is outdated.

Source:

[Please insert a reliable source confirming the current address, such as the official company website, media kit, business listing, or audit document.]

Infobox website Current text:

elespecial.com

Requested replacement:

ElEspecialitoDigital.com

Reason:

El Especialito now maintains its digital presence through ElEspecialitoDigital.com.

Source:

[Please insert official website source.]

Miami distribution Requested change:

Remove references to Miami from the article.

Reason:

El Especialito no longer has a Miami edition or Miami distribution.

Source:

[Please insert a source if available. If no source is available, this can be reviewed as an outdated statement that is no longer supported by current sources.]

Employee count Current text:

El Especialito is part of Ibarria Media Group, which employs ninety employees.

Requested change:

Remove the employee count.

Reason:

The employee count appears outdated and is not necessary to the article’s summary.

Ownership and family business language Current text:

El Especialito is part of Ibarria Media Group, which employs ninety employees and operates as family business run by Ibarria and his two sons, Anthony and John.

Requested replacement:

El Especialito is owned by Ibarria Media Group. The publication remains associated with founder Antonio Ibarria and his sons, Anthony Ibarria and John Ibarria, who have held leadership roles in the company.

Reason:

This keeps the ownership and leadership information while removing the outdated employee count. The 2024 NewsBeat feature states that the newspaper is still run by Antonio Ibarria and his sons Anthony, general manager, and John, president.

Source:

NewsBeat, February 2024, “El Especialito’s American success story”

Suggested short description Requested short description:

Spanish-language weekly newspaper in New York and New Jersey

Reason:

The current short description should reflect the newspaper’s current geographic focus and publication type.

Suggested article wording for current operations Requested addition:

El Especialito publishes a weekly Spanish-language newspaper and maintains a digital news presence through ElEspecialitoDigital.com. Its coverage includes entertainment, lifestyle, health, sports, fashion, community resources and other features aimed at Hispanic readers in the New York and New Jersey area.

Reason:

This adds updated information about the publication’s print and digital presence in neutral language. The 2024 NewsBeat feature describes El Especialito as a full-color features publication covering celebrities, entertainment, lifestyle, health, sports, fashion and exercise.

Source:

NewsBeat, February 2024, “El Especialito’s American success story”

Thank you for reviewing this request. Because of my disclosed conflict of interest, I am requesting that an independent editor evaluate and make any appropriate changes. Adislaespecial (talk) 20:40, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

Sourced accomplishment and career-context update

edit

I have a personal connection to Hérica Tibúrcio and am therefore requesting review rather than editing the article directly.

Please consider the following sourced updates:

1. In the "Championships and accomplishments" section, under "Invicta Fighting Championships", add:

    • 2014 Invicta FC Fan's Choice Upset of the Year vs. Michelle Waterson[1]

2. If editors think a short personal/career context sentence is appropriate, please consider adding the following after the paragraph about Tibúrcio's 2015 title defense: Tibúrcio returned to Invicta FC in 2020 after a three-year hiatus; Brazilian outlet Jornal Bragança Em Pauta reported that the break followed the birth of her son and identified her husband, fighter Bruno "Jacaré" Dias, as one of her trainers.[2] I am deliberately not proposing private details about children, ages, or family life beyond what has already been published by reliable sources and is relevant to her career. Follow-up with additional sourced material that may be useful for improving this article
Follow-up: additional sourced material (MMA Junkie, MMA Fighting, BJPenn, Combat Press, Invicta FC, MMARising, FightMatrix) to support article improvements
=== Additional sources for the title win ===
The Invicta FC 10 title win was covered extensively by major MMA outlets. These could support expanding the article's prose:
  • MMA Junkie: "Tiburcio upsets Waterson to claim atomweight title"[1]
  • MMA Fighting: "Herica Tiburcio stuns Michelle Waterson to win atomweight title"[2]
  • BJPenn.com: "Brazil Has A New Champ! Tiburcio Dethrones Waterson"[3]
  • Combat Press pre-fight profile with biographical details[4]
  • Invicta FC official results[5]
  • Invicta FC "Fighting Words" pre-fight interview[6]
=== Notable early opponent ===
The article lists the Cláudia Gadelha loss in the fight record but doesn't mention it in prose. MMARising.com covered the bout.[7] A brief mention that early opponents included future UFC title contender Gadelha would add useful context.
=== Move to Boston and UFC aspirations ===
In a January 2017 interview with MMA Fighting, Tibúrcio confirmed she had moved to Boston to train at Juniko Hanower and Sityodtong Boston, and expressed interest in regaining the Invicta title and potentially fighting in the UFC at strawweight.[8]
=== Historical ranking ===
FightMatrix's historical rankings show Tibúrcio was ranked as high as #2 Women's Atomweight in the world from January 2015 through January 2016.[9]
=== Fan's Choice Awards context ===
Per the Invicta FC awards page already cited in my original request, Tibúrcio was also a nominee for Fighter of the Year alongside Katja Kankaanpää, Tonya Evinger, and Roxanne Modafferi. The award went to Alexa Grasso.[10]
~~~~ Kevglynn (talk) 06:00, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
Follow-up: existing cross-linking context
For reviewer reference, Hérica Tibúrcio is already mentioned by name and wikilinked on multiple established Wikipedia articles, including Michelle Waterson-Gomez (prose and fight record), Cláudia Gadelha (prose and fight record), Ayaka Hamasaki (prose and fight record), Jinh Yu Frey (prose and fight record), Tessa Simpson, Simona Soukupova, and the main Invicta Fighting Championships article (listed as 3rd Atomweight Champion in the title lineage). She also appears on the List of current Invicta FC fighters. The proposed additions above would strengthen connections to these already-linked articles. Kevglynn (talk) 15:10, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
Request edit: Infobox and lead paragraph update
edit
I work in digital marketing for Hackett London (COI disclosed on my user page). I'd like to propose two corrections to the infobox and lead paragraph, both objective factual updates:
1. Ownership: The infobox currently lists M1 Group and L Capital Asia as owners. Hackett has been part of AWWG (formerly Pepe Jeans Group) since 2020. Source: FashionUnited.
2. Flagship store info: The infobox shows "160 stores as of June 2019," which is now a stale date reference. Proposing to update with current sourced figures, or remove the date qualifier.
3. Lead paragraph: Proposing an expanded lead that reflects the brand's current ownership and flagship location. Draft below:
"Hackett London is a British menswear brand and multi-channel retailer founded in 1983 by Jeremy Hackett and Ashley Lloyd-Jennings, specialising in tailoring, smart casual clothing, and accessories for men. Headquartered in London, the brand operates over 160 stores across more than 30 countries. Its flagship store is located at 14 Savile Row, London, a site previously occupied by fashion house Hardy Amies from 1946 until 2019. The brand is owned by AWWG (formerly the Pepe Jeans Group) and is positioned in the accessible luxury segment of British menswear."
Sources for verification:
  • Retail Gazette, "Hackett flagship to replace Hardy Amies on Savile Row," June 2019
  • AWWG official website, "About us" (awwg.com/about-us) — confirms Hackett is part of AWWG, owned by M1 Group, L Catterton and founder Carlos Ortega.
The file Themetcollection.svg has a legend at the bottom with dates, but one is in AC--I'm assuming this is meant to be BC. COI edit request: LuxNashRide co-founder information
edit
(moved here from User talk:Itsbhop89 by Drm310)
I am Brycen Hopkins, the subject of this article. Because I have a conflict of interest, I am requesting this change rather than editing the article directly. Please add the following sentence to the end of the “Personal life” section: “Hopkins co-founded the Nashville transportation concierge company LuxNashRide with his father, former NFL player Brad Hopkins.” Primary independent source: WKRN Nashville, “LuxNashRide: Brad Hopkins and Brycen Hopkins,” published June 15, 2026: https://www.wkrn.com/video/luxnashride-brad-hopkins-and-brycen-hopkins/11883889/ Yahoo News also carries the WKRN segment here: https://www.yahoo.com/news/videos/luxnashride-brad-hopkins-brycen-hopkins-151004289.html Suggested WKRN citation code: "LuxNashRide: Brad Hopkins and Brycen Hopkins". Additional supporting source: The official LuxNashRide team page identifies Brad Hopkins and Brycen Hopkins as the company’s co-founders: https://luxnashride.com/our-team/ Citation code:|title=Our Team |url=https://luxnashride.com/our-team/ |website=LuxNashRide |access-date=June 28, 2026}} Additional government business record: The Tennessee Department of State business record shows that LUXNASHRIDE LLC is an active Tennessee limited liability company. The record lists Control Number 002081947 and an initial filing date of January 29, 2026: The Tennessee business entity search can also be accessed here: https://tncab.tnsos.gov/business-entity-search The government record confirms that the company is an active Tennessee LLC. The LuxNashRide team page and WKRN report support the statement identifying Brad and Brycen Hopkins as its co-founders. The proposed wording is intended to be factual, concise, and non-promotional. Edit request (COI disclosure) – June 2026
edit
Conflict-of-interest disclosure: I am disclosing a connection to the subject of this article and am therefore not editing it directly, per WP:COI. Username: Arashmansouri. Relationship to subject: I became acquainted with him when he coached my son's youth team; I have no financial or professional relationship with him and am disclosing this personal connection out of caution. I am requesting the changes below so an uninvolved editor can review them. I have only included statements supported by independent sources; résumé-only claims are listed separately at the end and are not part of this request.
The current article is incomplete and contains an internal contradiction (the prose says he became youth-team head coach "in 2007" and also in 2011).
1. Fix the contradiction
edit
Please make the youth-team timeline consistent: he joined Iran's U23 national-team staff for the 2008 Olympic qualifiers (2007), was appointed head coach of the U17 teams in 2009, and head coach of the U19/U20 team in 2011 under the technical direction of Carlos Queiroz.
2. Add an "Executive and administrative career" section
edit
Mohammadi served as president of the Youth Committee of the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and as a member of its Technical Committee. In 2020 he was appointed chief executive of Paykan Sports Club.[1][2] He later held a senior sports-management role with the National Iranian Copper Industries Company.
3. Expand recent career
edit
In October 2023 he was appointed head coach of Sanat Mes Kerman F.C..[3] He holds an AFC Pro coaching licence, is an official AFC instructor, and holds a doctorate in sport management.[4]
Still needs a source (not part of this request)
edit
The following are from the subject's own material and should only be added once independent coverage is found: playing career (Shahid Motahari Academy, Vahdat FC, Bank Melli FC, Fath Tehran FC; career ended by a 1994 motorcycle accident); youth-coaching honours (West Asian Youth Championship in Jordan, Southeast Asia Youth Championship, AFC qualification finishes); Technical Director of Iran's women's national teams (2014); the "Golden Ball" television programme (2008–2010); and Richmond Hill SC (OPDL) coaching and Ontario Soccer scouting roles (since 2025).
Discrepancies for reviewers
edit
The current infobox lists Tajikistan U23 (2013–14), PAS Hamedan (2016–17) and Zob Ahan, which do not appear in the material I have; the record instead shows Malavan (2015) and Siah Jamegan (2016–17). Please source or correct these entries.
Edit request — COI, sourced updates
edit
I am a co-founder of Birds Barbershop and have a disclosed conflict of interest (see my user page). I proposed sourced updates here with no response from other editors. I'm requesting the following sourced changes be reviewed and implemented: * Location count: Update to reflect nine open locations, with two additional locations under development in Georgetown, TX and on Parmer Lane in Austin. Source: Austin Business Journal, 16 April 2026. * History section (new): Add a section covering the 2006 founding, the 2011 launch of Verb hair products, and the company's expansion. Sources: Newsweek (2006), Forbes (2019), Modern Salon (2012). * Design section (update): Correct the description of in-store murals per current Forbes coverage. * Culture section (new): Add coverage of the company's hospitality practices and 2025 partnership with St. Elmo Brewing Co. Sources: Forbes, Tribeza (7 January 2025). * Verb Hair Products section (new): Add coverage of the Verb product line founded by the company's co-founders. Source: Modern Salon (13 September 2012). * Awards section (update): Update Austin Chronicle citation to the 2025 Best of Austin results. I'm happy to provide the full proposed wikitext for review, or answer any questions about sourcing or neutrality. Jrapaustin (talk) 20:17, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
@Jrapaustin could you please provide the full text (with formatted and linked references) for each update? Rusalkii (talk) 21:46, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
COI edit request: addition to Republic of Gamers section
edit
I work for ASUS and am disclosing a conflict of interest per WP:COI. I am not editing the article directly and am instead proposing the following addition for review by a neutral editor. The Republic of Gamers section currently does not mention ROG's gaming mouse products. I'd like to propose adding two sentences after the existing ROG Ally paragraph, before The Ultimate Force section:
"In 2023, ROG partnered with Aim Lab, a popular aim-training software platform, to release the Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition, a lightweight wireless gaming mouse whose settings could be automatically tuned using Aim Lab's training software.[1][2] The following year, ROG released the Harpe Ace Extreme, a carbon fiber variant of the mouse weighing around 47 grams.[3]"
Both claims are sourced to independent third-party hardware publications. Happy to adjust wording or sourcing if needed.
Request updated stats for Payment processing
edit
Greetings! I work at Stripe and have been working on suggestions for improvements to this article. Given feedback from editors previously, I have familiarized myself with Wikipedia's rules for conflict of interest editors to make my requests in line with best practices. Below is an improvement I propose to this article.
Proposed change:
  • In the Payment Processing section, please add the following:
By 2025, Stripe's platform powered more than 5 million businesses directly or via platforms, including 90% of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, 80% of the Nasdaq 100, and 25% of all newly incorporated Delaware corporations through Stripe Atlas.[4]
CianStripe (talk) 11:07, 28 April 2026 (UTC)
Partly done See my edit here focusing on number of businesses serviced; language like "Stripe's platform powered..." sounds promotional. Best, SpencerT•C 07:07, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for reviewing. Noting your "Stripe's platform powered" justification. For the remaining proposed wording, could you share some insights as to why it is not considered? This will help to inform future requests by us. For example, could the following be considered "90% of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, 80% of the Nasdaq 100, and 25% of all newly incorporated Delaware corporations" omitting "through Stripe Atlas." in line with your earlier rationale? CianStripe (talk) 08:08, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
IMO the other statistics border on promotional-sounding trivia, numbers that can change frequently year-to-year, and also was a near word-for-word copy of the original quote in the article. SpencerT•C 17:43, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
Understood, thank you for your feedback. CianStripe (talk) 07:31, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
Addition of Magic Quadrant mention
edit
Greetings! I work at Stripe and have the following request.
  • Proposed change: I would like to request the addition of our recognition in Gartner's 2025 Magic Quadrant report in the History section of this article. In the report, it says that "Stripe is a Leader in this Magic Quadrant because it delivers good recurring billing capabilities, is very easy to deploy, and has leading market share". Since this wording is too promotional for Wikipedia, I suggest adding the following sentence:
Stripe was recognized as a leader in Gartner’s 2025 Magic Quadrant for Recurring Billing Applications.[1]
Thanks. CianStripe (talk) 08:52, 20 May 2026 (UTC)
 Not done This appears to be promotional content without independent secondary coverage. Wikipedia generally should not catalog awards, rankings, or vendor recognitions unless reliable independent sources show that it is due. ◦ Sibshops (talk) 17:10, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
@Sibshops: I have seen other accolades listed in cases where the recognition itself is notable, such as Gartner's Magic Quadrant. Two independent trade publications that have no ties to Stripe or Gartner (Fintech Marketing Hub and nocash.ro) have written about it, if these sources are helpful. Let me know if this changes anything, and I appreciate you taking a look here. ~2026-30716-67 (talk) 08:17, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
These don't appear to be generally agreed upon reliable sources. Independent secondary sources which would support inclusion would include books, news media, or scholarly works. ◦ Sibshops (talk) 11:49, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
Additional services in the Technology company section
edit
Greetings! I work at Stripe and have the following request.
  • Proposed change: I'd like to suggest adding a few more of our main AI-related services to the article, specifically under the Technology company section. I think these would fit best if we organized them into clear subsections, but am open to editor feedback on the placement of them in the article:
Technology company
Agentic Commerce Suite
Stripe launched the Agentic Commerce Suite in December 2025 to allow businesses to sell inside AI apps and to agents directly.[1] It enables businesses to make their products discoverable, checkout, and accept payments via a single integration. Businesses including Best Buy, Coach, Quince, and Kate Spade are building with the Agentic Commerce Suite.[2][3] By May 2026, Stripe had announced agentic commerce partnerships with OpenAI, Microsoft, Meta and Google.[4]
Machine Payments Protocol
Stripe and Tempo launched the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), an open standard for machine payments, in March 2026. It allows businesses to programmatically accept payments directly from agents.[5][6]
Stripe Projects
Stripe Projects launched in May 2026. It is a product that allows developers or their agents to sign up for, purchase, and integrate internet services directly with LLMs. The service centralizes the tools needed to launch software products.[7]
Addition of sentence about Stripe Radar
edit
Greetings! I work at Stripe and have the following request.
  • Proposed change: I would like to add the following sentence after the sentence that says "The same year, it expanded its services to include a billing product for online businesses, allowing businesses to manage subscription recurring revenue and invoicing". New information explains an essential function of Radar within that paragraph. I suggest adding: In May 2026, Stripe announced that Radar will also be used to prevent token theft.[1]
Request edit — proposed rewrite
edit
I propose replacing the current article with the expanded version below, in line with the COI disclosure above. In summary the rewrite: expands the history; adds sourced insignia detail from Romanoff; corrects the post-1918 framing; and adds a collar section. Sources and rationale as noted in the draft.
Redundant pejoratives in lead
edit
I'm the subject of this article therefore this is a
.
Con artist and fraudster in my opening description are two contentious and redundant pejoratives that are also not legally accurate - I was convicted of larceny, not fraud (public record). There is also no mention that my conviction is currently on direct appeal (also public record). I request that the lead instead use neutral and factual language to describe me and my conviction and note the pending appeal. Theannadelvey (talk) 09:29, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
According to Marie Claire and The New York Times, Sorokin was sentenced to four to 12 years in prison on one count of attempted grand larceny, three counts of grand larceny, and four counts of theft of services.[3] The NYTimes also states that the subject was acquitted of stealing $60K from a friend for a trip to Morocco.[4] If the subject were convicted of larceny alone, then WP:BLPCRIME should, in theory, limit the descriptors used in the article to those involving larceny and theft of services. New York State defines larceny using an array of descriptors, including:
By conduct heretofore defined or known as common law larceny by trespassory taking, common law larceny by trick, embezzlement, or obtaining property by false pretenses
Since the term "con artist" describes using confidence to obtain property, that would seem to be covered by "trick, embezzlement, or false promises". Theft of services in New York ranges from a Class A misdemeanor to a Class E felony. As far as the term "fraud", New York State similarly lists a large volume of crimes under the term "fraud" but since the subject apparently wasn't convicted for any of them, we can safely dispose of the term "fraudster". I think it's important to mention continuing appeals until they run their course, but "as of" would be a far better preposition to use than "currently". I'll leave this open to invite discussion from the community. Regards,  Spintendo  11:20, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
Request to correct emigration date and age
edit
The article currently states: "Born near Moscow, Delvey emigrated from Russia to Germany with her family at the age of 16 in 2007." This is factually incorrect, I permanently moved to Germany with my dad, not entire family, at the end of 2005, at the age of 14. My traveling and school records corroborate this timeline. Update the article accordingly. Theannadelvey (talk) 05:22, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
Hi Anna, it looks like whoever put that sentence in was basing it off of this article, which does say "Anna Sorokin was born in Russia in 1991, and moved to Germany in 2007, when she was 16, with her younger brother and her parents" and then goes on to give a short sketch of your childhood that it says is based on interviewing your family in Germany. Even if that article on The Cut is incorrect it will be hard to change that without another source that contradicts it. Is there anywhere editors could read some of these records that corroborate the timeline? -- LWG talk (VOPOV) 16:05, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
Partly done I removed the information about your mother since the sources citing in the article didn't say anything about your mother's occupation. -- LWG talk (VOPOV) 16:21, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
LWG you claim to strive to maintain a policy of neutrality on controversial issues and to believe in civility and assuming good faith, but your edits on my profile from July 9th 2026 show otherwise. I don't agree with the rationale given that it is
"not completely clear" whether sources discuss my paintings or exhibitions. That is something that should be resolved by examining the sources themselves more closely or looking for better ones, not by deleting the material without discussion.
There are so many articles documenting my work as an artist, including coverage of exhibitions and reporting on hundreds of thousands of dollars in art sales, and removing any mention of that work from the first paragraph gives readers an incomplete picture of my post-2017 career. The lead again continues to emphasize redundant insulting pejoratives "con artist" and "fraudster," both of which are meant to publicly humiliate and degrade me, despite the related events already being covered in extensive detail later in the article. Per Wikipedia's neutrality policy, the lead should summarize the full scope of the subject's notability rather than focus almost exclusively on criminal conduct, which currently is the case.
Happy to provide a list of sources supporting the above, let me know how. Theannadelvey (talk) 04:32, 11 July 2026 (UTC)
Edit request: corrections and additions (disclosed paid editor)
edit
I am a paid editor working on behalf of Sean Mason. Per WP:PAID, I am disclosing this conflict of interest and am not editing the article directly. I have already made this disclosure on my user page. Please review the following itemized requests, each with a source. I've kept each change small and specific to make review easier, and I'm happy to answer questions about any of them.
1. Lead section: factual corrections
edit
Current text:
Sean Mason is an American jazz pianist, composer, and record producer. He was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2024 and has been the recipient of a Bessie Award and Bistro Award. In 2023, he released his debut album, The Southern Suite, and in 2024 co-released Chrome Valley with Mahogany L. Browne's and My Ideal with Catherine Russell. In 2025, he released, A Breathe of Fresh Air.
Requested text:
Sean Mason is an American jazz pianist, composer, and record producer. He has been nominated for a Grammy Award, and is the recipient of a Bessie Award and Bistro Award. In 2023, he released his debut album, The Southern Suite; in 2024, he co-released Chrome Valley with poet Mahogany L. Browne and My Ideal with vocalist Catherine Russell. In 2025, he released A Breath of Fresh Air.
Reason: Three factual/grammar corrections:
  • "nominated...in 2024" is misleading — the nomination was announced for the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, held February 2025.[1]
  • "Mahogany L. Browne's" has a stray possessive.
  • "A Breathe of Fresh Air" is a misspelling; the correct title is "A Breath of Fresh Air".[2]
2. Early life and education: add missing details
edit
Current text ends with:
...At age 17, Mason won the inaugural McGlohon Young Jazz Competition, an award that included an opportunity to perform as guest soloist with Delfeayo Marsalis.
Requested addition (new paragraph after that sentence):
In 2016, Mason enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he studied jazz under John Salmon. In 2017, while attending UNC Greensboro, Mason met Branford Marsalis, who was giving lessons there...
Reason: Adds his undergraduate enrollment year and named teacher, which the current article omits. Also note the competition's full name is the "Loonis McGlohon Young Jazz Competition."[3]
3. Career section: correct Broadway role description
edit
Current text:
In theater, Mason has been involved in various musical roles in Broadway productions such as Hadestown and Phantom of the Opera and has served as music director for The Soapbox Presents, a Harlem-based performing arts organizabtion.
Requested text:
In theater, Mason has contributed to Broadway productions, serving as on-call pianist for Hadestown and as music copyist for The Phantom of the Opera. From 2020 to 2024, he served as Artistic Director of The Soapbox Presents, a Harlem-based performing arts organization.
Reason: Fixes a typo ("organizabtion"), and corrects/specifies his roles — he was Artistic Director of Soapbox Presents (not "music director"), and his Broadway roles were specific (on-call pianist / music copyist), not general.[4]
4. Career section: add reception detail for The Southern Suite
edit
Requested addition (end of Southern Suite paragraph):
...received favorable reviews.[19] The Bitter Southerner named it one of the Best Southern Albums of 2023.[5]
5. Career section: replace vague sentence about A Breath of Fresh Air
edit
Current text:
Later that same year Mason released, A Breath of Fresh Air, which received a fair amount of radio airplay and favorable reviews.
Requested text:
Later that same year, Mason released A Breath of Fresh Air on Taylor Christian Records. The album debuted at number four on the JazzWeek chart[6] and was included in Goldmine's "Best of the Best" jazz releases of 2025.[7]
Reason: Replaces an unsourced, vague claim ("a fair amount of airplay") with specific, cited facts.
6. Discography section: add missing sourced entries
edit
The article currently has no dedicated Discography section. I'd suggest adding one, sourced to the reviews/announcements already cited elsewhere in the article and above:
As leader
  • The Southern Suite (2023)
  • A Breath of Fresh Air (2025)
As co-leader
  • Chrome Valley — with Mahogany L. Browne (2024)
  • My Ideal — with Catherine Russell (2024)
7. Awards section: add Bessie Award detail and fellowships
edit
The article mentions Mason is a Bessie Award recipient but doesn't specify what it was for. Requested addition:
The Bessie Award was for Outstanding Sound Design and Music Composition (39th Annual Bessie Awards, 2023), awarded for The Jazz Continuum (with Charles Turner).
I'd also suggest adding, if editors agree it is due weight:
Mason received a Chamber Music America New Jazz Works Grant in 2025, and was named an Arts & Science Council Creative Renewal Fellow in 2026.
edit
Requested additions to the External links section — official site and verifiable database/social profiles:
I did not include social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube) in this request, since Wikipedia's external links guideline (WP:ELMINOFFICIAL) generally allows only one official social link if it's the primary channel, and I'd defer to reviewer judgment on which one (if any) is appropriate to include, per WP:ELOFFICIAL.
Partly done: I've enacted some of the requested changes- copyediting was done and added things like "The Bitter Southerner named it one of the Best Southern Albums of 2023." which were cleanly verified and appeared in what seems to be a reputable publication. Other requests I did not enact. For example, I don't see the provided UK Jazz News source discussing any charts or rankings, so I have not added "The album debuted at number four on the JazzWeek chart". I am also a little wary of extra specificity about his Broadway work based on a source that seems to be a musical artist promoter company. Thank you for disclosing your COI and using the edit request process. Zzz plant (talk) 20:01, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
  • By their very nature, awards can be subjective, in that they represent a very specific point of view — that of the individual or organization which determines who wins the award, and why. To counter this, a good practice is to limit the listing of awards to only those which are independently notable in Wikipedia. The ALM Best Firms to Work For Award does not appear to meet this definition.
Are Wikipedia editors able to update the infobox?
edit
I'm Ross Penkala and I handle digital content strategy and discoverability for Boston Consulting Group. I'll be the point person for BCG's Wikipedia engagement, and I've reviewed the relevant conflict-of-interest guidelines.
I'm hoping that editors watching this page will update the infobox with BCG's most recent employee figures. This Bloomberg article from April 2025 references our most recent headcount of 33,000. I'm not sure where the 36,000 figure that's currently in the infobox comes from, as the cited source is not a website I'm familiar with. RSP at BCG (talk) 20:43, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
 Done. Thanks for the request. I could not access the Bloomberg article on account of the paywall, but the "About us" section on your website already cited is acceptable for this statement of basic fact, so I just used that. MediaKyle (talk) 20:49, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
Great. Thanks for your help here, MediaKyle. Really appreciate it. RSP at BCG (talk) 12:58, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
Adding further details about BCG's early history
edit
Hi there, Ross Penkala from BCG again. I know that Wikipedia articles are always "under construction," but right now the History section feels underdeveloped. The limited content (~260 words) comes across as a loose collection of claims about the firm rather than an encyclopedic accounting of its origin and growth. Nearly a third of the section is about Bill Bain, which feels disproportionate. And the sourcing seems substandard (e.g. I'm not sure why a Wine Festival listing is being cited when there are better sources out there confirming the same information, and at least one of the provided links doesn't even work).
I've been working on an updated draft version of the entire History section, but I thought I would start by putting forward an attempt to capture the firm's early history:
As you can see, the draft above cites a lot of academic textbooks, and the claims I included are the same ones you would expect to see in an academic-style capsule history or a newspaper profile (I also cite the New York Times and Los Angeles Times). I briefly introduce the experience curve and growth-share matrix, because those are obviously important business concepts and their widespread adoption helped establish BCG and drive growth (as documented in contemporaneous NYT reporting and academic treatments). I kept all the material about Bill Bane (with only slightly rewording) but improved the sourcing. And I added a mention about Sandra Ohrn Moose since she's notable enough to have her own Wiki entry.
Throughout the draft, I provided quotes in the citations so that it would be easy for anyone reviewing this request to confirm accuracy. If these quotes seem excessive they can probably be trimmed.
I appreciate the collaborative nature of Wikipedia content creation and would welcome any and all feedback. As always, THANK YOU! RSP at BCG (talk) 23:49, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
This is an exceptionally well-done edit request, I hope they're paying you more than they paid Right Angles. Seriously, you should offer a course on the side. Give me some time to chew on all of this and I'll see what I can do for you. MediaKyle (talk) 00:02, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
 Done. I found no issues with your request, and implemented it mostly as written. I did re-arrange it a bit and make some formatting adjustments. This was a big improvement. All the best, MediaKyle (talk) 00:51, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
Many thanks again, MediaKyle! Truly appreciate the quick response and thorough review. Like I said above, I'm trying my hand at an updated draft of the entire History section, and I hope to have another few paragraphs ready for review soon. RSP at BCG (talk) 16:05, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
Another request about expanding the History section
edit
Ross Penkala from BCG here again. I have another request for editors to consider. I've put together a draft that covers BCG's history from roughly 1974 to 2000. This was a period of significant growth and expansion, not just for BCG but for the business consulting field more broadly (as described in books like The Lords of Strategy). BCG opened its second U.S. office in 1974 and a Munich office a year later. Further expansion continued, and the firm grew from 277 consultants to 1,000 plus with a sizable presence across Europe, Asia, and North America.
Right now the History section contains two sentences about this period, both about time-based competition—an important concept, for sure, but not the only important development during a ~25-year stretch of growth.
I think this period deserves a more thorough treatment, not just because there's relevant information "out there" that we can include, but because these developments are all notable and contribute to an encyclopedic treatment of the topic. The second sentence of the article introduction notes that BCG "is one of the 'Big Three' [...] along with McKinsey & Company and Bain & Company." The details in the draft I've prepared explain how and why BCG achieved this status as American-based business consulting firms expanded across the globe. I don't reference every new office opening, acquisition, service announcement, et cetera—just enough to provide a high-level summary that contextualizes "growth."
The draft above cites some of the same sources I used for the early history passages, but I also pulled from the aforementioned Lords of Strategy book by Walter Kiechel and Defining Management (which offers a European perspective). I reworded the two sentences about time-based competition and added better sourcing. And I once again provided quotes in the citations so that anyone reviewing this request can easily confirm accuracy. (I know that when I'm conducting research, I always appreciate being able to quickly find the referenced passage.)
I tried to link to the German Wikipedia entry for Bolko von Oetinger [de], but I'm not sure I did it right. Is it supposed to look like that? Honestly, any tips about formatting would be welcome. I feel like I'm getting the hang of this but I'm sure there are things I could be doing better. RSP at BCG (talk) 13:22, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
 Done: Everything checks out here, and I added your text mostly as written. I tried to break up the section a bit with subheaders, but the final paragraph doesn't really fit in there -- if you want to adjust the headers, go ahead. You did the interlanguage link correctly by the way, that's what it's supposed to look like. I'll see what I can do with your other request now. MediaKyle (talk) 00:28, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
New request: Add an Operations section
edit
Ross Penkala from BCG here again. I have another request for editors to consider: Could a brief Operations section be added to the article? Other articles about management consulting firms have sections like this (see: McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, Deloitte, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, IMRB International, Capgemini, et cetera) that provide an encyclopedic summary of core operational details. For comparison, right now there's no content in this article describing what the Boston Consulting Group actually does (i.e., the services it provides and the sectors it operates in) and where and how it operates.
I put together a seven-sentence Operations section draft below that could follow the History section.
IMO, it would make sense for this content to come immediately before the Projects section, which provides specific examples of BCG's work. (It would also be nice if editors could find at least a few less controversial examples to highlight, but I understand these projects have attracted substantial media attention.)
Please let me know what you think. RSP at BCG (talk) 20:31, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
 Done: Looks good, I made a few changes to the references and some copyedits but nothing major. Thanks for the requests. I have a couple of suggestions for you:
  • The "See also" section contains two links, and their relevance is uncertain until you visit the articles. If possible, it would be ideal to somehow include these topics in the body of the article so we can get rid of the "See also" section.
  • The "Recent history" subheader is quite barren. What else has BCG been up to lately that received significant coverage?
  • More photos! You work for the company, so you can probably make something happen. WP:PICYOU is a guide meant for biographies but the same principles will apply here. If you want to see about releasing some photographs, I'll try to work them into the article.
  • Somewhere in the body of the article it should explain how BCG is part of the "Big Three", and how it compares to the others. This is currently only addressed in the lead, and the lead should be a summary of the body.
Let me know if you have any questions. You're doing a great job, and I appreciate your transparency, so I'm happy to keep working with you. Thank you for your patience, you'll have to forgive me for not being super excited about management consulting ;-) ... Cheers, MediaKyle (talk) 12:57, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
New request about recent history
edit
Ross from BCG here again.
I have another request for editors to consider, this time covering "recent history"—meaning everything from ~2000 to the present. Once again, I've focused on major developments that were significant enough to generate news coverage, not just press releases. Whenever possible, I've also tried to draw from the cited sources to contextualize why these developments are historically or operationally relevant—e.g, noting that Hans-Paul Bürkner was the first European to lead BCG when he was promoted to chief executive in 2003, and that the consolidation of tech divisions into BCG X in 2022 reflected the growth of IT consulting as a revenue driver. I also added in brief mentions of DICE framework and B Capital, per feedback from MediaKyle on my last request. These topics are notable enough to have their own Wikipedia entries, and it thus makes sense (to me, at least) that they should be introduced within the body of the article. I found two journal articles that discussed DICE at length. And I used staff writer-authored TechCrunch and Forbes articles to support the B Capital sentence.
There were certainly more items I could have included in the draft above, but I erred on the side of brevity. Please let me know what you think. Thank you! RSP at BCG (talk) 16:05, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
Edit Request - Additional Section
edit
What I think should be changed:
  • Add below text after the Cloud-connected roles Table:
SOLIDWORKS for Startups Program
The SOLIDWORKS for Startups Program, also known as the 3DEXPERIENCE Works for Startups program or the SOLIDWORKS Startup Program, is an initiative designed to support early-stage hardware startups. The program provides free access to industry-standard design, collaboration, and other product development tools for qualifying startups in their first year.[1] Additionally, the program offers substantial discounts for the subsequent two years, with a 70% discount in the second year and a 50% discount in the third year. Participants in the program also receive free training and co-marketing resources to aid in their success.[2]
Why I think this should be changed
This information is of use to those researching the page and company. It provides insight for individuals in the hardware startup industry and fully captures the company's programs.
Thank you for donating your valuable free time to help this page. Please adjust as necessary within Wikipedia guidelines.
 Preceding unsigned comment added by GreenAppleClimber (talkcontribs)
Done I've removed the discount information, since discounts can change at any time, and I also added information from Engineering.com for additional context. ⸺(Random)staplers 21:13, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
Edit Request - Products
edit
What I think should be changed: The Product Portfolio section currently provides excess detail on products. Per tag from @user:Hipal, "advert - last good version 17:53, 3 June 2023" this revision is aimed at maintaining edits implemented since June 3rd, 2023, while attempting to achieve a less detailed product catalogue - imitating the format seen on Palantir Technologies' Products and Adobe Photoshop's Versions sections:
Sources like Javelin should not be used. "Javelin Technologies is a Canadian company that is a reseller and training provider for SOLIDWORKS software " Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with WP:RS. Graywalls (talk) 02:03, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
@Graywalls ah, I see - it appears that Javelin is used as a source throughout the existing article. That will have to change. Thanks for all of your edits so far and for tagging this to be rewritten. I see that you've done significant work on the History section, removed Key Events, and cleaned up the various Portfolio sections. Do these need additional rewrites on top of those edits/purges? Or is it mostly the portfolio sections that need complete reworks? Thanks! GreenAppleClimber (talk) GreenAppleClimber (talk) 13:18, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
The entire article needs to be essentially redone. Sourcing is atrocious and too much information that do not belong in an encyclopedia article. Things that only the software developer/resellers/trade groups have to say much about don't need to be said in an encyclopedia. The article, as it stands now appears massively tainted with brand ambassador involved public relations activity, such as SolidWorks is a registered trademark of Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corporation. Graywalls (talk) 18:01, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
 Not done I'm declining this request for now. I just edited the article to clean it up and remove the tags, but the long list of unsourced product info had to go. If you want to rewrite and submit with maybe 4-5 important modules/features, with independent sources, you can reopen this by removing the d in the template. Keep in mind that you need to use only independent sources. No blogs, sponsored posts, press releases, company posts or anything controlled by the company. For example, the Engineers Rule website says at the bottom "Sponsored by Dassault Systèmes". These simple guidelines will ensure that nothing is added that isn't notable, and will keep the article from being tagged as advertising. You can ping me if you need help. History section
edit
Hi, I’m Stephanie and I’m here as part of my work for Beutler Ink. On behalf of SolidWorks, I would like to propose updates to the page. The current History section has a few gaps in it. There is a "citations needed" tag; a few sources do not meet Wikipedia's standards (The CAD Insider; design-engine.com; tecnetinc.com); and there is no information between 2006 and 2024. The draft below uses better sources and fills in the gaps in history.
SolidWorks Corporation was established in December 1993 by MIT graduate Jon Hirschtick. During this time, computer-aided design software was only compatible with UNIX systems. Hirschtick aimed to create a software that was easy to use and affordable and so created SolidWorks for Microsoft Windows.[1]
SolidWorks was originally based in Concord, Massachusetts with Hirschtick as its first chief executive officer. Its first product, SolidWorks 95, was released in November 1995 after two years of development.The next year, John McEleney succeeded Hirschtick as CEO.[1][2] In 1997, Dassault Systèmes acquired SolidWorks for $316 million.[3]
Under McEleney, SolidWorks increased its number of customers to over 40,000 and had a market valuation of $1.5 billion.[4] After 12 years as CEO, McEleney stepped down and was succeeded by Jeff Ray.[2]
In 2011, Dassault Systèmes purchased a new office in Waltham, Massachusetts, where SolidWorks became headquartered [5][6]
By 2013, SolidWorks was used by 62 percent of engineering professionals.[4]
Gian Paolo Bassi was named CEO in 2015. During his tenure, he was credited with modernizing SolidWorks by adding cloud features, utilizing databases in the software over files, and pushing for environmental initiatives. Bassi stepped down in 2022 and was succeeded by Manish Kumar, SolidWork's vice president of research and development.[2]
Hi Stephanie, am I missing something, or does the sentence In 1999, SolidWorks started introducing software for 3D modeling, and in 2006 introduced SolidWorks Design-to-Manufacturing solutions, an integrated system enabling design and manufacturing teams to work together concurrently stil not have a citation? Needless to say, if your intent was to delete this sentence, we need to have a reason why (not to mention, a clear direction to delete the sentence) unless There is a citations needed teg was the reason. I can't access the other references in order to verify, perhaps you could add the relevant text under the |quote= parameter? Thank you! Regards,  Spintendo  20:29, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
Spintendo thanks for the reply! Here is a revised draft below with the quote parameter for the Boston Globe and WSJ sources, since those have paywalls. To your other question, yes my intent was to delete this sentence because of the citation needed tag; I was unable to locate any source which verified the information.
Dear all,
I would like to suggest to update some information.
Please note that I have a financial conflict of interest as I am being paid by Sixt. Therefore, I will not make any edits myself but hope that uninvolved editors could review my suggestions and make changes if they find them appropriate.
@Nikolay Komarov: Would you be willing to review my suggestions again? What do you think? Best, Conandcon (talk) 08:42, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
I don't like anything that transforms the page into a "single-page landing site" so I wouldn't recommend adding "www.autohaus24.de" in the end. Otherwise it's just technical corrections supported by links. These links though... should be best from non-affiliated 3rd-party sources, not from the company's sites. Nikolay Komarov (talk) 09:14, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply Nikolay Komarov. I am not sure what you are referring to regarding the "single-page landing site" and autohaus24 as I am not suggesting to add anything in regard to autohaus24. Regarding the sources I proposed only 2 are primary sources that support hard facts (employee numbers and locations). In this regard these seem the most accurate sources as this information will always come from the company directly - and it later might be picked up by media. What do you think? Best, Conandcon (talk) 09:31, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
@Nikolay Komarov: Just wanted to make sure that you saw my reply above. Let me know what I can do to address your concerns and/or whether you are okay with implementing the suggested updates. Looking forward to hearing from you. Best Conandcon (talk) 14:31, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
Suggestion to add NBA partnership
Dear all,
I would like to suggest to add Sixt’s nationwide marketing campaign in the US to the article – including just having announced long-year sponsoring contracts with NBA teams Chicago Bulls and LA Lakers. Please find a respective suggestion below including independent secondary sources. Please note that I have a financial conflict of interest as I am being paid by Sixt SE. I hope that uninvolved editors could review my suggestion and make the addition if they find it appropriate.
I am looking forward to feedback from independent editors. Greatly appreciate everbody’s time for this! Best, Conandcon (talk) 12:22, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
@Spintendo: Thank you very much for your feedback. There are of course more sources. However, most of them in German. One for example is from Germany's most important business magazine Manager Magazin: Sixt sponsert NBA-Klubs Los Angeles Lakers und Chicago Bulls. As this is German and behind a paywall, I suggested the other sources above. Do you find this source more suitable? Looking for your feedback. Thanks again for taking the time to look into this. Suggestion to update Employee Numbers
edit
Dear all,
I would like to suggest an update employee numbers after the publication of the Annual Report 2023. Also it could be considered to add revenue to the infobox as well if found suitable by independent editors. Please note that I have a financial conflict of interest as I am being paid by Sixt SE. I hope that uninvolved editors could review my suggestions and make changes if they find them appropriate.
Dear all,
I would like to suggest to add missing sources, update the financials in the info box as well as the history and sponsorship parts of the article. Please note that I have a financial conflict of interest as I am being paid by Sixt SE. I hope that uninvolved editors could review my suggestions and make changes if they find them appropriate.
 Not done The source appears to be a company history put together by the company. I'm not comfortable using a primary source for the history. STEMinfo (talk) 06:44, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
Partly done The claim that US revenue was over $1B was made in an interview, and is therefore weakly sourced. The other items looked fine. STEMinfo (talk) 07:28, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
Suggestion for updates
edit
Dear all,
I would like to suggest to update the financials in the info box based on the current 2025 annual report. In addition, I would like to suggest a small change at the beginning of the article. Please note that I have a financial conflict of interest as I am being paid by Sixt SE. I hope that uninvolved editors could review my suggestions and make changes if they find them appropriate.
I am looking forward to feedback from independent editors. Greatly appreciate everbody’s time for this! Let me know if there are any questions. Best, Conandcon (talk) 20:04, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
 Page numbers needed  The source you provided is more than 200 pages long, so indivdual page numbers for each claim would be helpful. Feel free to add them above, instead of posting a new request. When ready to proceed, kindly change the {{Edit COI}} template's answer parameter to read from |ans=y to |ans=n. Thank you! Regards,  Spintendo  17:38, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
Thank you, Spintendo: I added the page numbers. You can find all the financials on page 2 of the pdf file; the page after the cover page. On page 54 of the pdf file (page number 52) the different services are best explained - also stating that "Short- and long-term car rental remains the core business and a major revenue and earnings driver for the SIXT Group". Let me know, if you have any questions or further remarks. Thanks a lot for looking into this! Best, Conandcon (talk) 18:00, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
Request for independent review (COI)
edit
I am Alasdair MacLullich the subject of this article - so, conflict of interest - previously disclosed. Hence, I am posting this on the talk page.
The article is now tagged as WP:LLMPRV / WP:LLMPROD with a warning that it might be deleted on 5 July 2026.
Obviously I do not want AI-generated content, and I wonder if it would be possible for another editor to review the article before it is deleted. I'd be perfectly happy with a much shorter version.
I am not sure what the rules are around what kinds of content should be in an article like this. I understand that sources other than my own university should be used where possible, so that the sources are more neutral and objective.
If the article could be retained, then I imagine a shorter version might focus on the European Delirium Association (co-founder), my role in leading the development of the 4AT delirium assessment tool with associated publications, my editorship of the journal Delirium, and my involvement in the delirium guidelines in Scotland, the SIGN guidelines.
Possible sources to consider:
NICE exceptional surveillance review of the delirium guideline, mentioning the 4AT:
Hou et al. Diagnostic accuracy of the 4AT for delirium: A systematic review and meta-analysis. Asian Journal of Psychiatry. 2023.
Independent guidelines and systematic reviews.
@WhatamIdoing: Avoreardon (talk) 21:12, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
Note for editors, an WP:LLMPROD may be removed by following the objection process, this means an editor may assume responsibility for the content which first requires that all content and its sources be closely reviewed, and reworked as needed, to ensure that they comply with polices and guidelines. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 06:29, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
The first thing with potentially LLM-generated content is that someone has to make sure the facts are correct, and that the cited sources are real. @Avoreardon, I saw that you removed some errors, so I assume you've done that already.
Wikipedia:Stubbing the article would address any language/stylistic concerns. I'll go do that now. WhatamIdoing (talk) 16:42, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
Is https://usher.ed.ac.uk/ageing-health/people/academic-staff/professor-alasdair-m-j-maclullich a real page that is normally accessible to the general public? When I click on it, it requires a university login. WhatamIdoing (talk) 16:48, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
https://www.bioethics.org.uk/about-us/our-people/prof-alasdair-m-j-maclullich/ gives me an error message. WhatamIdoing (talk) 16:53, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
This last one is just an ordinary matter of the website going offline, because the organization shut down last year. I found a copy at archive.org. WhatamIdoing (talk) 17:05, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
Already done LLM prod was removed- the article was cleaned up by WhatamIdoing via stubbifying. There is one link that seems to require log-in but otherwise source spot-check looks good. Thank you for disclosing your COI and using the edit request process. Zzz plant (talk) 22:33, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
NOTE: I’m proposing the following edits for FleishmanHillard on behalf of Jones Day. I’m a paid editor and aware of the COI guidelines. I’m offering the following recommended additions to the “Notable alumni” section to account for several notable Jones Day attorneys and alumni missing from the list. Please let me know of any questions or comments as you review. Thanks for your consideration. Jon Gray (talk) 14:57, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
Proposed additions
edit
  • I also propose an update to this section’s title, as the list contains both notable attorneys and firm alumni. As such, I propose that the new section title be “Notable attorneys and alumni,” as is common/similar in other law firms’ Wiki articles (see examples here and here).
Partly done I only included the people with Wikipedia pages. I also trimmed some quotations as they were excessive. Make sure you add {{Paid}} on your userpage for this contribution. Thank you. SWinxy (talk) 16:35, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
Edit Request – Republican Party and conservative politics
edit
NOTE: I’m proposing the following edits for FleishmanHillard on behalf of Jones Day. I’m a paid editor and aware of the COI guidelines. Thanks for your consideration. Jon Gray (talk) 22:58, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
Republican Party and conservative politics
  • Sentence: “In the 21st century, the firm has increasingly taken on ideologically charged cases and causes.”
  • Issue / Rationale: This sentence is a redundancy that needs to be removed as the sentences that precede and follow it convey the same information.
  • Requested edit: Please remove the sentence in question.
  • Sentence: “During the first Donald Trump administration, Jones Day helped the administration to dismantle the administrative state, combat early voting, and place a citizenship question on the census.”
  • Issue / Rationale: The claim that the firm “helped the administration to dismantle the administrative state” is false and poorly sourced. The claim stems from the article “How a Corporate Law Firm Led a Political Revolution,” which in actuality is an excerpt from a book by David Enrich that was reprinted in the New York Times. The cited portion states “Chief among those aims was dismantling what Don McGahn — the Jones Day partner who helped run Trump’s campaign and then became his White House counsel — disparagingly referred to as the “administrative state.” However, that very article crosslinks to another New York Times piece (also written by Enrich) where the phrase “the administrative state” is attributed to Leonard Leo and Steve Bannon,[1] neither of whom are, nor have ever been employees of Jones Day. The Enrich article erroneously attributes the quote to Don McGahn, which falsely connects that phrase/position to the firm. Furthermore, Jones Day did not represent the first Trump administration – it represented the 2016 and 2020 Trump campaigns.[2]
Regarding the claim that the firm helped “combat early voting during the first Trump administration,” this is also false as the firm represented the 2016 and 2020 Trump campaigns, not either administration[3]. In addition, what’s referenced here is an amicus brief filed on behalf of the Buckeye Institute in July 2016, before the first Trump administration began in January 2017.[4] The position advocated was that Ohio’s lengthy 29-day early voting period was constitutional. The plaintiffs in the case were arguing that 29 days was insufficient, and that the court should order more early voting days than Ohio law permitted. The Sixth Circuit agreed with the Buckeye Institute’s position and upheld the Ohio law.[5]
The claim that the firm helped the Trump administration “place a citizenship question on the census,” is also false on multiple grounds. Again, the firm did not represent the first Trump administration, but the 2016 (and, later, the 2020) campaign, making it impossible for the claim as written to be factual.[6]
Further, a cursory review of the docket shows that Jones Day did not represent any party in that case.[7]Beyond that, the effort to place a citizenship question on the census failed – so ultimately no one “helped the administration . . . place a citizenship question on the census.” [Supreme Court blocked that effort.][8]
  • Requested edit: Considering the facts outlined above, this sentence needs to be removed from the article as well.
  • Sentences: “In 2020, Jones Day was hired by Trump in his legal fight to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election, which he lost to President Joe Biden. The firm worked for Trump in trying to have courts toss out Pennsylvania mail votes.”
  • Issue / Rationale: The claim that Jones Day was hired by Trump (or anyone) to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election is unequivocally false. The claims – sourced back to Enrich – is undermined by Enrich himself in a 2022 interview with The New Republic: “I labored over that line in the book because Jones Day was not representing Trump or his campaign or the Republican Party in any of the frivolous and reckless lawsuits that were filed after the election that were just spreading lies about fraud and things like that.”[9]
In actuality, Jones Day was hired by the Pennsylvania GOP to seek review in the United States Supreme Court on the ground that the order is unconstitutional because it usurped the Pennsylvania General Assembly’s plenary authority to determine election procedures including the deadline for absentee ballots.[10] This is further backed by additional reporting from the American Bar Association and the Global Legal Post:
  • American Bar Association: “Jones Day isn’t representing Trump or the GOP in any election fraud litigation, but it is contesting an extended ballot deadline in Pennsylvania in a cert petition pending with the U.S. Supreme Court.”[11]
  • Global Legal Post: “US law firm Jones Day has hit back at media claims that it is representing President Trump in his attempts to contest the results of last week’s US election by filing baseless allegations of fraud... In its statement, Jones Day clarified that it represented the Pennsylvania GOP in its efforts to overturn the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s decision to extend the deadline for returning mail-in ballots that had previously been established by the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Through Jones Day, the Republican Party of Pennsylvania has sought review from the US Supreme Court that the order to extend the deadline was unconstitutional because it usurped the PGA’s authority to determine election procedures, including deadlines for absentee ballots.”[12]
  • Requested edit: Given this erroneous information, please remove the two sentences in question.
  • Sentences: “According to The New York Times, Jones Day ‘was giving voice — and legal backing — to the president’s unsubstantiated fear-mongering about the possibility of an election tainted by fraud.’ However, the firm said it ‘is not representing President Trump, his campaign, or any affiliated party in any litigation alleging voter fraud.’ Jones Day also said it ‘is not representing any entity in any litigation challenging or contesting the results of the 2020 general election’ and that ‘media reports to the contrary are false.’ According to The New York Times, Jones Day's post-election justifications for its role in the 2020 election ‘blurred a basic fact: Jones Day and its lawyers were trying to stop votes from being counted, all in an effort to serve the client.”
  • Issue / Rationale: This passage is rooted in reporting that the author himself has refuted. The New York Times Sunday Magazine article is excerpted from a portion of a book by David Enrich for publicity purposes.[13]On multiple occasions, Enrich himself has walked back his claim that Jones Day “was giving voice — and legal backing — to the president’s unsubstantiated fear-mongering about the possibility of an election tainted by fraud.”[14] [15]Further, the firm was not hired to represent Trump nor any other entity alleging voter fraud.[16]
  • Requested edit: Given these facts, the sentences in question should be removed as their foundational premise is demonstrably false and has been walked back by the person to whom these quotes/claims are attributed.
Requested updates: ownership, leadership, and outdated figures
edit
Conflict of interest declaration: I am affiliated with Mor Furniture for Less. Per WP:COI and WP:PAID, I am requesting these changes on the talk page rather than editing the article directly (disclosure is also on my user page). All proposed text is intended to be neutral and verifiable; the reviewing editor of course has final discretion. The article has not been substantively updated since about 2014 and does not reflect the company's 2019 change of ownership or the 2025 leadership transition. I propose the following specific changes, each with independent sources: 1. Replace the outdated lead paragraph Current text: "Mor Furniture is an American furniture retailer, based in San Diego, California. Mor Furniture for Less is currently one of the largest furniture retailers in the United States as of 2010. The company owns and operates 29 stores and 10 warehouses in 7 states..." Proposed text: "Mor Furniture for Less, Inc. is an American furniture and mattress retailer headquartered in San Diego, California. Founded in 1977, the company operates more than 40 stores across seven Western states: California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. Since 2019 it has been owned by Chinese mattress manufacturer Healthcare Co., Ltd." Sources: [1] (confirms "more than 40 stores across seven states") [2] 2. Add a new subsection to the History section: "Acquisition by Healthcare Co., Ltd." Proposed text: "In October 2019, Mor Furniture for Less was acquired by Healthcare Co., Ltd., a Chinese mattress manufacturer headquartered in Rugao and owner of the MLILY brand, for approximately US$68.4 million. It was Healthcare Co.'s first retail acquisition in the United States. At the time of the sale, Mor Furniture operated 36 stores with estimated annual sales of more than US$310 million. Healthcare Co. stated that Mor would continue to operate as an independent business, with its executives reporting to leadership in China." Sources: [3] [4] [5] 3. Add the 2025 leadership transition to the History section Proposed text: "Richard "Rick" Haux Jr., son of founder Richard Haux Sr., retired as chief executive officer on October 31, 2025, after a 44-year career with the company. He was succeeded by Jack Yujian as president and CEO." Sources: [6] [7] [8] [9] 4. Update the infobox Change | key_people = to: "Richard Haux Sr. (founder); Jack Yujian (president and CEO)" — the current list names Richard Haux Jr. as CEO (he retired October 31, 2025) plus several vice presidents; per Template:Infobox company guidance the field should normally be limited to founder, chair, and CEO. Sources: same as item 3. Add | parent = Healthcare Co., Ltd. (2019–present) — sources: same as item 2. Add | num_locations = 40+ and | num_locations_year = 2025 — source: Home News Now (item 1). 5. Correct the outdated store count in the body Current text: "The company owns and operates 29 stores and 10 warehouses in 7 states..." Proposed text: "As of 2025, the company operates more than 40 stores in seven states." Source: Home News Now (item 1). 6. Reword the dated superlative in the lead The sentence "Mor Furniture for Less is currently one of the largest furniture retailers in the United States as of 2010" mixes "currently" with a 2010 date. If item 1 is adopted this is resolved; otherwise please change "is currently" to "was, as of 2010,". These sources may also help address the notability tag added in February 2026, as they represent sustained independent coverage in multiple trade and regional business publications from 2019 through 2025. I can provide additional sourcing on request. Thank you for taking the time to review. Edmondwei (talk) 04:39, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
Request to specify formulation in the lead
edit
Disclosure: I am an employee of Moleac, the company that markets NeuroAiD (MLC601/MLC901). I therefore have a conflict of interest and am not editing the article directly. I am proposing this source-backed change on the Talk page for review by independent editors, and I am not requesting removal of well-sourced negative material.
* Text to be changed (in the lead): "The drug shows no significant benefit in improving outcomes at 3 months in patients with acute ischemic stroke."
* Proposed replacement: "MLC601 shows no significant benefit in improving outcomes at 3 months in patients with acute ischemic stroke."
* Reason: The meta analysis behind this statement tested the MLC601 formulation specifically . The article already explains that there were two formulations and that MLC601 was discontinued in 2018 and replaced by MLC901, so attributing the finding to "the drug" generically is imprecise. Naming the formulation makes the sentence accurate and consistent with the rest of the article. I am not requesting removal of the meta analysis result or any change to its conclusion.
