Re-opening request

edit

Hey @Dclemens1971:. As you see, the response to the review required more time than I used to make a single comment. I was preparing a response to the comments amid other commitments. I know that a timely response can be beneficial to the project, but giving another chance would be encouraging for sure. Best. --Mhhossein talk 15:38, 28 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Mhhossein I can't unilaterally reopen the nomination -- it takes two to close it and @Launchballer was the one who closed it after I marked it as rejected. It will be up to them to revert their closure. If they do, I am willing to remove my rejection to allow for (prompt) improvements, but the fact that you replied to other comments in the nomination but not my review and made no improvements to the article did not signal your interest in proceeding. A simple Please hold, I will respond further soon is typical at DYK to prevent nominations from being closed for non-response. Dclemens1971 (talk) 15:47, 28 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. Then I'll wait for Launchballer's response. --Mhhossein talk 15:56, 28 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I reopened, but do address the above quickly.--Launchballer 16:10, 28 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks @Launchballer. --Mhhossein talk 18:43, 28 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
  • @Launchballer: As it can be seen, I had addressed most of the points raised. The casuality point, which slipped through my eyes, was something unresolvable. Having almost 100 DYKs done/reviewed, I am not sure why the reviewer was quick to reject it again without reminding further what other points needed to be addressed. I am willing to continue the DYK process for this interesting subject. --Mhhossein talk 03:24, 29 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
The Wikipedia:Did you know/Reviewer instructions states the following explanation for rejection:

"Article is either completely ineligible or otherwise requires an insurmountable amount of work before becoming eligible."

This is while resolving the casualty point does not require "insurmountable amount of work". --Mhhossein talk 03:28, 29 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
