  • ... that muscle mommy (example pictured) became a popular social media trend in the 2020s, describing muscular women who are seen as physically attractive?

  • @Soulbust: WP:DYKNEW says the 7-day limit can be extended by a couple of days on request; however, this needs a QPQ within the next 24 hours.--Launchballer 01:18, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
    • @Launchballer: Gotcha. Gonna be doing the QPQs now that I'm back online. Soulbust (talk) 03:12, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
      • @Launchballer: One QPQ is now complete (err, I suppose, pending nominator's addressing of issues raised over on that review). Let me know if you'd still like me to do a second one. Soulbust (talk) 03:59, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
You do only need one. Full review needed.--Launchballer 04:34, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
@Launchballer: Just finished reviewing that nomination. Thanks Soulbust (talk) 01:57, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
This is a fresh and comprehensive article with plenty of citations. I see no copyright or neutrality issues. The article looks very good, though some of the cited sources gave me pause. The topic is fun, and I do not think that the proposed hooks do it justice. Could we try something that is not a mere definitin of the term or a quote? Surtsicna (talk) 19:30, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
@Surtsicna: Hey, I definitely agree the topic is fun and lends itself to fun hooks as a result, I think ALT0 for sure is just a definition but ALT3 feels more in the vein of doing something fun or quirky. ALT2 I think also mentioning the sapphic community's adoption of the phrase feels fun to me, but I am definitely open to more suggestions here. I also would like to know which of the sources give you pause. Maybe I could find some better sourcing for those. Soulbust (talk) 01:58, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
  • @Surtsicna: Does the above resolve your concerns, and is this approved? If not, what else is needed to be done? Z1720 (talk) 17:06, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
Soulbust, the sources that I referred to are not self-published, so I cannot substantiate my concerns; in reality, the titles just sound clickbaity and that put me off, but that might be par the course for this topic. I dislike quotes in hooks, so on that ground I would pick ALT0 over ALT3 and ALT1. Although ALT0 is a plain definition of the term, I think the context it gives would be more likely to draw people in than ALT2. I thought that a very fun hook could be formulated from paragraph #2 of the Background section"... that muscle mommies took off after the COVID-19 pandemic?"but I noticed that neither of the cited sources mentions the term "muscle mommy". That also makes me question the relevance of the paragraph and the cited sources to the topic (defined as a term). Perhaps the article could be slightly restructured to make muscular women as a beauty standard be the topic rather than the term "muscle mommy" ("wheyfu" seems to refer to the same thing); all that would require is a little lead section adjustment, no title changes. @Surtsicna: @Z1720: hmm, I'll see what I can do to restructure the background section. I was aiming to make this article about the term, but figured the term would need some contextualization and that readers would benefit from a background section that kinda explains the broader muscular fitness model aesthetic/trend/vibe on social media. I think probably trimming the bits about the Japanese muscle girl café would focus the article a bit more, so I'll try to do that. Soulbust (talk) 07:04, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
