  • ... that Johannes-Ostern is an oratorio for Easter with music by Sofia Gubaidulina (pictured) who compiled the text from the Bible, continuing her Johannes-Passion? Source: several
    • Reviewed: 2 to come
    • Comment: I am sorry, - due to vacation I am a day late. I still plan to expand further. The article was begun in February when WiR focused on compositions by women, and then forgotten ... - Best for Easter, which may be the second day, so 5 or 6 April.
Created by Gerda Arendt (talk). Number of QPQs required: 2. DYK is currently in unreviewed backlog mode and nominator has 2176 past nominations.

  • Article was late, QPQ has not been done, and the hook is dreadfully dull. Oratorios by their nature are usually compiled from Biblical text, and there are many Easter oratorios pulling from the Gospels. Successive sacred works are not all that unusual. Not seeing a reason to drag this out, as in looking at the article there isn't anything particularly compelling to feature in a hook. Sorry Gerda, not seeing a reason to entertain this one further given the lateness of the nomination, the lack of a compelling hook, the lack of QPQ reviews, and the current backlog mode. Thank you for participating in the WIR event and I am sure if you weren't rushed this could have been featured under better circumstances when more time and attention could have been given to article and hook development and within the required timeframe for DYK. With so many infractions it is just not workable this time around. 4meter4 (talk) 16:24, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
