Should page be moved to Yura (singer)?
editThe current title is Kim Yura, but is that really her name? Has she ever gone by Kim Yura? If her legal name is Kim Ah-young and her stage name is Yura, I think the page should be moved to Yura (singer). Random86 (talk) 05:55, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- Agreed. A stage name should not be tied to her surname if that isn't a part of her real name. Evaders99 (talk) 21:24, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- There's already a Yura (Singer), should it be moved to Kim Ah-young? EquilLoL (talk) 11:12, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware of that. In that case, the pages could be moved to Yura (South Korean singer) and Yura (Indonesian singer). Random86 (talk) 20:38, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
Done I fixed some double redirects, I dont plan to move Yura (Singer), I can't read the page.EquilLoL (talk) 13:31, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
- Well, after reading through other talk pages like Talk:Tiffany_Hwang, it seems to me that the name should have remained as Kim Yura. I think the name might need to be moved to Yura (Korean Singer) if not back to Kim Yura.EquilLoL (talk) 13:31, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
- I think the current page title is fine. Most Korean singers with different stage names do not have their stage name combined with their family name in the page name. See Raina (singer), Lizzy (singer), Nana (singer), Luna (singer), Sulli, Qri, Hyomin, etc. I think Tiffany was different because there are multiple singers named Tiffany and more disambiguation was needed. Yura (South Korean singer) → Yura (entertainer) – The reasoning is that the current disambiguator does not accurately reflect her widely recognized identity as an actress and entertainer. This proposed move would provide a more accurate description for readers. Jjpachano (talk) 09:33, 31 August 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. TarnishedPathtalk 05:36, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose Yura#People with the name other people here could be considered entertainers. I would consider Yura (South Korean entertainer) instead grapesurgeon (seefooddiet) (talk) 04:15, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
