Church Tysoe?

edit

Looking back at census returns for the area I noticed that the area known as "Middle Tysoe" isn't always referred to as such. 1841: The pages available start with first houses listed and include all three village names, Lower, Middle and Upper. 1851: The Description of the Enumeration District has been copied and states "All that part of the Parish of Tysoe known by the name of Middle Tysoe, Lower Tysoe and Burland House." 1861: The return lists some addresses under "Church Tysoe." The Description of the Enumeration District is "Including Church, Lower and Upper Tysoe, Hardwick..." etc. The Enumerator adds helpfully "There are no streets with names." In column 2, under "Road, Street, &c., and No. or Name of House" the first entries, 1 & 2 on the schedule, show "Lower Tysoe". Properties 3, 4 & 5 are uninhabited and recorded on a single line. No. 6 to 77 are recorded as being in "Church Tysoe", often abbreviated to "Ch Tysoe". Entries 78 to 113 have been changed to "Up" or "Upper". 114 to 167 are recorded as "Upper Tysoe" and from 168 to 179 it's back to "Lower Tysoe". 1871: The Enumeration District is described as as "The whole of Tysoe Parish, including Upper Tysoe, Church Tysoe & Lower Tysoe Villages". 1881: Upper Tysoe, Church Tysoe, Lower Tysoe Villages". I've no family members of interest to lead me to look at later returns but I'm just wondering if this was a formal change or just local descriptions?
