Merge issues
editI have been thinking about the merge proposal, and at the moment could go either way regarding it. It is certainly true that Trika is strongly identified with Kashmir Shaivism, and so the proposal to merge has some merits on that basis. It never caught on as an independent philosphy as far as I have been able to determine, but I am still searching for references that would justify an independent article. The argument for an independent article may be that Trika philosophy did have some influence in courtly circles independent of pure Kashmir Shaivism and had some impact on orthodox Smarta Brahmanism. (See: Flood (1996), p. 168.) However these influences are apparently indirect and could be handled in a few sourced sentences. Buddhipriya 18:02, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Cleanup and improvement
editAdded more triads. Sill needs some rewording and cleanup. Visarga
Reinstated and merged
editI've reinsttaed the Trika-article, copying and merging info from [[:Kashmir Shaivism], and merging the Pratyabhijna, as Trika is one school of Kashmir Shaivism, and Pratyabhijna belongs to the Trika-school. Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 09:38, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
- Terrible edits, genuinely shocking to see the degradation in understanding propagated by this merge ~2026-19337-92 (talk) 07:57, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
