Main lines in use
editSomeone please specify what is "main lines in use". If it means "number of end users (i.e. number of telephones)" than this is false. Let's just remember that Ukrainian megacities with millions of population (such as Kyiv and Kharkiv) are almost entirely telephonized, and there is at least one line in every big village. AlexPU
- I find this number entirely plausible, one phone for about every four people. Don't forget that a good chunk of the population still live in villages. From personal experience there are only a few phones total in a village, this might have changed from 1999. Now, if everyone in a city had a phone, it's usually still one per home or family. Granted some families are smaller or bigger than four people, but the number seems about right. --Berkut 09:13, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
This article could really do with some citations. Albeit plausible, it's hardly a Wiki grade. DiscoverYellow —Preceding undated comment added 20:34, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Request: In the History section, please add the following sourced sentence about early Ukrainian VoIP:
In 2004–2005 the Internet Association of Ukraine launched UA-VoIX, an IP-telephony traffic exchange point for Ukrainian providers; the softswitch software for the project was supplied by the Ukrainian company IXC, which won the association's tender.[1]
