Timing
editThe creation of this article strikes me as premature. Election results have not been finalized, and there are no returns from Kotzebue, one of the largest communities in District 40. Burke has not been declared the winner, she is simply ahead in returns at the moment. Would it not be best to wait for official results? Sipik06 (talk) 21:13, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
- I would have already boldly moved it to draftspace, except there's just barely enough WP:DEPTH in the sources to make it halfway passable. Too many editors appear to believe that the mere presence or absence of sources determines notability, not anything having to do with the real world. Witness Rob Yundt, whose electoral victory and whose real-world accomplishments are a lot more certain. The admins restored a previously-deleted article to draftspace, where it will be ignored and eventually deleted again unless someone chooses to intervene.
- What's suspicious to me: for the past dozen years, the articles on Alaska state legislators that either get created first or worked on the most just happen to be persons who were clients or principals of Ship Creek Group. In most cases, there's a very specific reason for this, but I can't divulge any details without violating WP:OUTING. I also wonder if this article's creator is going to construe that as a personal attack. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 18:17, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
