Request to update outdated store count, store size, and company description

edit

Hello editors,

I am affiliated with Rainbow Shops and would like to propose several updates to improve the accuracy of this article. I will not edit the page directly in accordance with Wikipedia’s conflict of interest guidelines.

1. Store count (outdated) The article currently states that Rainbow operates approximately 1,300 stores (2021), which appears to be outdated.

Proposed update: “Rainbow operates over 800 stores across the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.”

Sources: https://www.rainbowshops.com/pages/about-us https://www.shopify.com/case-studies/rainbow-shops (Note: Shopify case study also references store scale, though figures differ and may be outdated.)

2. Average store size (outdated) The article currently states that the average store size is approximately 5,000 square feet. This appears to be outdated.

Proposed update: “Rainbow stores are typically approximately 8,000 square feet in size.”

3. Company description (incomplete) The current description emphasizes teenagers and young women but does not fully reflect the broader product offering.

Proposed update: “…a privately held American retail apparel chain offering affordable fashion for women, including plus size, as well as shoes, accessories, and kids apparel.”

4. E-commerce timeline (potentially inaccurate) The article states that e-commerce launched in 2017. There are indications this may be earlier, but I have not yet identified a strong independent source.

Flagging for review by independent editors.

Thank you for your time and for helping maintain the accuracy of this page. I am happy to provide additional information if needed. InternetOG97 (talk) 17:43, 26 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
