Pirogov was Ukrainian/Russian scientist?
editWhen I wrote this, the lead of this Wikipedia article stated that Pirogov was a Ukrainian/Russian scientist. But I do not see why he should be considered (partly) Ukrainian... The Wikipedia article about him does not suggest he should be viewed as partly Ukrainian. Did living in Ukraine make him a Ukrainian while during his lifetime there was no country called Ukraine? — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 17:40, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
- The Ukrainian language Wikipedia entry/article about Pirogov suggests that he was sympathetic to the Ukrainian language..... But so am I and lots of other non-Ukrainians....., should we be considered partly Ukrainian now too
