editWhy show old Peter instead of young Peter? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SmoledMan (talk • contribs) 05:09, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- Because the primary purpose of infobox images is recognition and identification. In the cases of still-active celebrities like Peter Gabriel, that purpose is better served by a recent photo than an outdated one. Martin IIIa (talk) 15:27, 13 October 2024 (UTC)

editI've removed this section for the following reasons;
- It was mostly unsourced.
- Some of that additionally appeared to be original research.
- That what was sourced said very little about Gabriel and more about the related subject.
- Most of it was trivia.
Gabriel is a long established and successful artist. It will therefore come as no surprise that his music has been used in other media. If we were to list every instance of his music being used in film and TV, we would have a very long article. So at the very least a source should be provided on any specific examples, that discusses the significance of it. Otherwise all it does is fill the article with unverifiable trivia that adds nothing to the article. Escape Orbit (Talk) 21:19, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- I support this move for the reasons stated above. The article is already lengthy enough as is, so thank you for these changes. Dobbyelf62 (talk) 02:40, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
