Identity

edit

Should the identity of his accuser be revealed within the article as she has been named by several media outlets. 86.144.189.26 (talk) 23:52, 2 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Can we move him out of a squad back to the suspended section?

edit

This seem like he is welcomed to back to the team when it's really ambiguous and far from it? PalmThailand (talk) 06:24, 3 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you show us exactly what needs changing? – PeeJay 13:13, 3 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Added to what? You know the box on the right only include league stats, right? It literally says that in the box. – PeeJay 12:16, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

More recent photo?

edit

Surely the photo needs updating? The current one is more than six years old, showing him as a teenager. Thenightaway (talk) 18:17, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Agreed - now 7 years old, really needs updating TheShippingPrayer (talk) 03:16, 14 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Mason Greenwood doesn’t play for Manchester United anymore, he now plays for Spanish professional football club Getafe CF. This edit has to be made as it is very important. 151.52.105.156 (talk) 17:51, 16 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Charliehdb (talk) 07:04, 17 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

"From Jamaican decent"

edit

Mason Greenwood is mixed: his father is a caucasian british man and his mother is a lady from jamaican décent.

I "understand" that when someone is found guilty of any type of crime it is more convenient to put forward their "exotic" heritage. However, could we please be accurate and state his actual decent which would also include his fathers british caucasian decent?

Thank you. 194.230.146.126 (talk) 18:45, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

@194.230.146.126 Do you have any source that says anything about his father? Wikipedia is merely saying what the source does, which makes no mention of his father. Escape Orbit (Talk) 22:30, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
The source for Greenwood having Jamaican descent came from a Jamaican source in 2020. It quite clearly wasn't trying to link his allegations to his heritage, it was bigging up his heritage when he was popular (a pattern too common on Wikipedia and elsewhere). Your conspiracy theories about highlighting his origin in order to smear Jamaicans are baseless, and can we leave pseudoscientific 19th-century terms like "Caucasian" in the past unless we're talking about Chechnya. Is he eligible to play for Jamaica at international level?

edit

If he decided to, he is still eligible. It says so in the "international career" section. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 23:42, 7 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Dahawk04 Talk 💬 01:25, 13 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
He is not "Jamaican", he is a dual citizen having now been granted Jamaican citizenship. That does not make him "Jamaican", he is still English. Should he go on to represent Jamaica than he would become "a professional footballer who plays for Marseille and the Jamaican National football team".. and would have England listed as his birthplace and "Born in England, Greenwood qualifies to play for Jamaica through his father." See for example Scott_McTominay. Claiming he is Jamaican would be like claiming Elon Musk is "American" because he has US Citizenship. He's not. Dimspace (talk) 23:08, 9 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
