editAs a Brazilian citizen I have spent my whole life in that South American country and have never heard in any Brazilian media that she's Brazilian or even of Brazilian descent, that's why I erased the "Brazilian of Jamaican descent" and "Brazilians expatriates in the United States" categories of her profile. Brazil and Jamaica have had very very little contacts throughout the centuries, that's why I have never heard of a Brazilian of Jamaican descent ou vice-versa up to now. Im sum, even though I can believe she has any Brazilian ascentry as the world is globalized and everything can happen, as her own birth statement says she was born in Kingston - Jamaica, so she can't be Brazilian-born. But it seems that today with so many beauties like Gisele Bündchen and Adriana Lima around modeling it's advantageous to be tagged Brazilian. ---- —Preceding unsigned comment added by Luz del Fuego (talk • contribs) 09:28, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- I understand where you coming from, but she is of Brazilian descent. It's been proven on this website http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0852691/bio
- Which means that one of her parents or grand parents or great grand parents were born in Brazil than emigrate to Jamaica.

- IMDB cannot be used as a reliable source for biographical information. Their info is submitted by users just like you and me and does not get scrutinized for accuracy. Dismas|(talk) 02:34, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Promotional edits
editThe recent edit Special:Diff/1284466018, which restored edits that the blocked editor JupiterPR (talk · contribs) previously made in Special:Diff/1283990934/1284293139, violates Wikipedia's policy against promotion.
All content on Wikipedia must be verifiable to reliable sources. However, the edits cited a
Medium (RSP entry) blog post from technology company Thrive Global, which is not considered a reliable source because it is self-published. Additionally, the edit added "Taylor is one of Florida's top philanthropists making a difference" and "Known for her three passions in life: children, animals and philanthropy", which are promotional claims that are not appropriate in Wikipedia articles.
Special:Diff/1284466018 should be reverted to remove JupiterPR's promotional edits from the article. — Newslinger talk 03:32, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
