I propose merging Daechu-gom, Dakjuk, Euneo-juk, Heugimja-juk, Hobak-juk, Jangguk-juk, Jatjuk, and Jeonbok-juk into Juk (Korean food). All of these articles are stubs and variety of the same food, and I think the content in these pages can easily be explained in the context of the new Juk (Korean food), and merging them would not cause any article-size or weighting problems.

There is precedent for Korean juk having its own article page, similar to Bubur ayam, Lugaw, and Teochew porridge, which have their own pages as well as a section on the main Congee article. It was previously discussed in the talk section for Juk (food) to merge Juk (food) with the main Congee article, as an editor misunderstood and assumed that the Korean juk was the same as Cantonese juk as they share the same pronunciation.

Currently, the page for Juk (food) redirects to the Korean section of the Congee article. As there are eight articles about varieties of Korean juk that are stubs, I propose merging them into one article named Juk (Korean food). Acinonyxjubatusrex (talk) 00:07, 4 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Merge completed. There still needs to be work done on copyediting, fixing dead links, and adding more English-language citations. Acinonyxjubatusrex (talk) 01:24, 4 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
