Before, there was some squabbling about the image, and we arrived at a consensus to use the one presently in the article (and that particular version of the photo), despite it being rather poor. There's arguably a better one on Commons now, shown here. What do we think of using this one instead? — SMcCandlish☏¢ 😼 07:59, 1 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
That is nether new nor better; it is the image that was rejected—for very good reasons—seven years ago.
There is a "new" image, but it is simply a photoshopped and upscaled version of the same image, and of equally poor quality.
I am a an unpaid researcher for Lord Taylor of Warwick.
If I can provide a new photo of sufficient quality, would you consider updating the current photo on this page to the new one I send you? Please tell me if there are any further steps I should take to get this photo changed. Thirdtimesthecharm (talk) 12:51, 2 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
If you would like to supply a photograph that is of suitable quality, under a suitable licence, with the permission of the photographer if necessary, and without the kind of dishonest claims that some of your colleagues have made about pictures previously supplied on behalf of Taylor, then by all means do so. It will then be considered on its merits.
Not done; please get a consensus for this change before using the {{Edit COI}} template. I will note that a discussion has been started in #Revisiting photo discussion above; once you have sorted out the username issue please feel free to join in that discussion.
