Name is Misspelled and picture is also wrong. Can somebody please change it? it should be Rabbi Jacob Isaac Biderman.

Here is the website where it can be seen at the very bottom.

https://www.lbs.ac.at/about-us

also the picture is of a different person. Can somebody change it to the correct image?

the picture from the website can be used. Alissa.nahshon (talk) 10:13, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

 Not done - The source you've provided doesn't support the name you're proposing. ᴸᵃᶠᶠʸTaffer💬(they/she) In solidarity 14:15, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Actually, this might be a valid change, not quite sure since I don't speak Hebrew and don't know much about name translations. Pinging @Plasticwonder who also did a revert of this just now. This link in the page's external links, run through machine translation, gives his name as Yaakov Yitzchak Biderman, and a quick google search does seem to support that Jizchak/Yitzchak can be translated(?) to Isaac. Plasticwonder, considering the page is named Jacob Jazchak Biderman, do you think this would be a particularly controversial change? ᴸᵃᶠᶠʸTaffer💬(they/she) In solidarity 17:19, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
I don't see why it would be controversial. I certainly won't protest. Plasticwonder (Cat got your tongue?) 17:20, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, have made the change in the lead and infobox just now. ᴸᵃᶠᶠʸTaffer💬(they/she) In solidarity 17:25, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
On seeing your notes on the photo, I have replaced it with the image from Hebrew Wikipedia, thanks. ᴸᵃᶠᶠʸTaffer💬(they/she) In solidarity 14:34, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
The image on https://www.lbs.ac.at/about-us is ancient and identical to this one: . Your photo is a URL, including an incorrect date, as it comes from here: . Furthermore, I would like to point out that my photo is of Rabbi Yaakov Biderman – and it's a very recent one from 2026. I'll refrain from commenting on the spelling. -- Bwag (talk) 18:13, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
There is evidently a lot that I'm missing here, so I'm going to choose to disengage from this page and let those more knowledgable on the subject discuss without stepping on toes further. Best, ᴸᵃᶠᶠʸTaffer💬(they/she) In solidarity 18:25, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Probably should get more perspectives than mineᴸᵃᶠᶠʸTaffer💬(they/she) In solidarity 17:28, 17 June 2026 (UTC)

Regarding this edit. Are you sure about that? I doubt it. Regards Bwag (talk) 17:19, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Very weakly, comparing the two images side by side they do look to be different people. I'm moreso choosing to trust some of the COI editor(s?) who claim it to be so. ᴸᵃᶠᶠʸTaffer💬(they/she) In solidarity 17:22, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Actually, looking at some other recent images of Biderman (2026) (2023), I'm actually quite confident that the person in the original image here (2026) is not Jacob Biderman. ᴸᵃᶠᶠʸTaffer💬(they/she) In solidarity 17:32, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
The image: is not from 2026, maybe from the year 2023: . -- Bwag (talk) 18:21, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Bwag Unsure if you get notified of this but I have moved this to the article talk. ᴸᵃᶠᶠʸTaffer💬(they/she) In solidarity 17:28, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

COI edit request - larger update (June 2026)

edit

Hello. I have a conflict of interest with this subject and am requesting changes here rather than editing directly, per WP:COI. Disclosure: I work for Lauder Business School, which Rabbi Jacob Isaac Biderman co-founded and where he serves as honorary vice president. He is not my direct employer, I have no personal connection with Rabbi Biderman. We hope that our modificaitons meet WP:RS or WP:NPOV.

The article's history stops at 2013. Two later foundations are missing:

In 2013 another Chabad center was opened in the 2nd district.

Reviewer note: these are Chabad-community outlets.

He also received ordination from the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada under the leadership
