How to make this article clearer?

edit

Could this article be made clearer for those of us who are not lawyers?

For example in order to understand the background behind this case re Youtube it would be good to have some kind of simple overview of the laws and regulations. I don't know what the Wikipedia term for an "executive summary" is but if we had one before diving into lots of confusing details it might help.

Neutrality of article

edit

At the top of the article it says the neutrality is being disputed, but where is it being disputed please? Jzlcdh (talk) 19:31, 29 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Meaning of "host provider"?

edit

Does it mean Internet service provider or Web hosting service or Internet hosting service or Social networking service or some combination? Whatever it means we could link to the appropriate article(s). Jzlcdh (talk) 20:32, 29 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Changes and modifications to the article

edit

(Date: April 2, 2014) As a reviewer of this article I have tried to address all observations, and I consider that the article has been improved. Additional sources, and links to other wikipedia articles have been inserted. Grammar and technical language has been improved (this article is about regulation of the Internet in Turkey, therefore some legal wording may come necessary while describing legal mandate. An effort has been put, in keeping it to the minimum). Citation has been improved, and neutrality as well. An impact section has been added reflecting recent reactions to the February 2014 modifications, over the Internet Act.  Preceding unsigned comment added by J.GalQ (talkcontribs) 19:41, 2 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Clarify "traffic information"

edit

Is it only metadata or data too should be stored for 1-2 years?  Preceding unsigned comment added by Artemka373 (talkcontribs) 22:50, 20 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Some things just grow during incremental edits and sometimes get out of hand. The "External links" section, one of the optional appendices, was expanded to 13 entries, organized into three subsections. Three seems to be an acceptable number, and of course, everyone has their favorite to try to add for a fourth. Consensus needs to determine this.
A tag indicates concerns of links. However, none is needed for article promotion.
Some links may be included in WP:ELNO, or What Wikipedia is not (policy) such as WP:NOTREPOSITORY or WP:NOTGUIDE.
  • WP:ELDEAD may apply.
  • In some cases ELCITE applies: Do not use {{cite web}} or other citation templates in the External links section. Citation templates are permitted in the Further reading section. Others, listed below:
  • ELpoints #3) states: Links in the "External links" section should be kept to a minimum. A lack of external links or a small number of external links is not a reason to add external links.
  • LINKFARM states: There is nothing wrong with adding one or more useful content-relevant links to the external links section of an article; however, excessive lists can dwarf articles and detract from the purpose of Wikipedia. On articles about topics with many fansites, for example, including a link to one major fansite may be appropriate.
  • ELMIN: Minimize the number of links.
The External links guideline This page in a nutshell: External links in an article can be helpful to the reader, but they should be kept minimal, meritable, and directly relevant to the article. With rare exceptions, external links should not be used in the body of an article.
Second paragraph, acceptable external links include those that contain further research that is accurate and on-topic, information that could not be added to the article for reasons such as copyright or amount of detail, or other meaningful, relevant content that is not suitable for inclusion in an article for reasons unrelated to its accuracy.
    • Please also note:
  • WP:ELBURDEN: Disputed links should be excluded by default unless and until there is a consensus to include them. Please do not add back more links without consensus. Simple solution to facilitate career maintenance tag. Move links here for discussion.
