The info about Hulk's first marriage to Linda needs to be fixed and changed, the infobox itself says they divorced in 2007, they didn't. The divorce was actually finalized in 2009 not 2007, 2007 was when Linda filled "FOR" divorce from Hogan, it was settled for two years until July 28, 2009 when their divorce was finalized. So the marriage really ended in 2009 according to sources, not 2007.

Hulk returned to the ring for TWO house shows in Nottingham, England. One on 1/26/12 and another on 1/27/12. The latter would end up being Hogan's last match ever. This should be noted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.38.208.77 (talk) 15:06, 11 November 2017 (UTC)

Middle name mismatches
I noticed that in this topic there are three different versions/spellings of Terry Bollea's middle name: In the first sentence, it's listed as Terry Ugene Bollea; under the "Born" section, it's listed as Terry Gene Bollea, and under the "Early Life" section, it's listed as Terry Eugene Bollea. According to IMDB and Wrestler Biographies), his middle name is "Gene". Just thought I'd point that out since it's confusing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wpeditor69 (talk • contribs) 05:03, 12 April 2018 (UTC)

Not done: there are inconsistencies in the sources you provide. For example, one source shows André the Giant's height as 74" in two places (obviously meaning 7 ft 4 in, not 6 ft 2 in), then later gives his height as 7 ft 5 in. Wikipedia will stick with the source it already has, which states Hulk Hogan's height as 6 ft 7 in. Thank you very much for your input! P.I. Ellsworth ed. put'r there 00:26, 17 July 2021 (UTC)

According to Bollea himself, the pronunciation given for his last name in this article is incorrect. The pronunciation is roughly "bo-LAY," NOT "buh-LAY-uh."

Hulk Hogan scouted by Reds and Yankees?
...He didn't play organized sports in High School -- how could he have been scouted by TWO Major League franchises for a sport he didn't play in High School? There are quite a few articles regarding this online -- this should be edited to reflect this; added that 'Hulk Hogan' fabricated this story...along with many others.
(He is in the Florida Sports Hall of Fame...wrestling & little league baseball is mentioned, but no mention of his prowess or presence in organized baseball at either Saint Petersburg College or University of South Florida -- neither school has Hogan recorded as a member of their baseball programs. Throughout this article, it seems Bollea and Hogan are used randomly. Even individual paragraphs use the two names interchangeably. It makes for a confusing read. I think we should pick one and make consistent use of it. --SVTCobra 16:25, 23 December 2021 (UTC)

Bollea has been in a relationship with Jennifer McDaniel in early 2008.[1] The two were engaged in November 2009[1] and married on December 14, 2010, in Clearwater, Florida.[2][3]
Please note that Bollea has confirmed that he and McDaniel are now divorced.

Partly done: So, this request has been sitting around for awhile. Been keeping an eye on it. You gave explicitly what you wanted added and your source seems reliable, so I've boldly completed it, as I don't perceive this to cause any WP:UNDUE or other policy related issues. Incorrect Name
Throughout the 1970's and 1980's there was no company called the WWF (World Wrestling Federation). This mistake happens numerous times throughout the entire page.
The Correct Name was WWWF (World Wide Wrestling Federation).

I want to provide citation for "Second return to WWF/WWE (2002–2003)"
This is the part from the article "Hulk Hogan made a comeback to WWF/WWE in 2002 and faced Brock Lesnar. Lesnar managed to defeat Hogan in a fight, which was a big deal because not many wrestlers could do that. Hogan got hurt and took a break until early 2003. When he came back, he had a new look, shaving his black beard and dropping the “Hollywood” name forever."

Hulk Hogan 2024 election
I think we should consider adding more context about Hulk Hogan’s appearance at the 2024 RNC. It’s pretty relevant right now, and I’m mentioning it here, on the talk page, because I have some level of bias.
Also, there are a few interviews where, former governor of Minnesota, Jesse Ventura says that Hogan was the one who told Vince McMahon about Ventura wanting to unionize the WWE. I’m not great at digging up court records, but I found a couple of interviews where Ventura talks about it:
- Timestamp 3:03 Title Match Wrestling Interview
- Timestamp 5:24 CNN Interview
- one example of an article by the Sportster that corroborates the existence of a lawsuit
Even though this ties into current events, these claims aren’t new; it's just that Hogan’s RNC appearance and Ventura endorsing Harris-Walz on CNN yesterday (timestamp 5:48 ) have brought them back into the spotlight.
Adding this info could really help paint a fuller picture of Hogan, especially with all the recent media attention. If anyone can confirm Ventura’s claim that McMahon said under oath that Hogan outed Ventura’s union plans, I feel that would be a make sense as an addition to this article. It has been many years since I have edited here, so I don't dare do much with the interface. Nonsense content
His father and mother have Italian roots but when this page starts to talk about Hulk Hogan roots, Italian is missing. You should add it cause the sentence isn’t very clear. It mentions Panamanian, French and Scottish roots and not Italian. At the same time it talks about his parents Italian roots. This is nonsense. Hulk Hogan’s Wikipedia Italian page is way more clear about his roots, it also mentions Cigliano (Vercelli), the town where his grandpa comes from. $El Vega01 (talk) 20:36, 12 November 2024 (UTC)

He's got plenty documented both connected and not to his actual wrestling career. There's a list overviewing his legal cases and a summary of being known as a serial liar but thats it. Hulk Hogan’s unrecognized World Titles
Complete Record of Hulk Hogan Championships
Hulk Hogan has won a record 18 world championships; however only 12 have been recognized. Like Ric Flair; Hulk Hogan has championship victories that because of technicalities in wrestling storylines all of Hulk Hogan’s championships have not been recognized officially. Most famously in the AWA. Unknown to most fans, Hulk Hogan also has 1 NWA and 2 WCW championship victories stolen from his record. Below is a complete title history of Hulk Hogan’s championship wins. [1] {Link: Hulk Hogan Title History https://hulkhoganhistory.weebly.com/complete-title-history.html/Citing_sources}
List of All Championship Wins
I. NWA World Championship: 5/25/79 in Dothan, AL Terry "The Hulk" Boulder pinned NWA World Champion Harley Race to win the NWA World Championship, but the decision was voided a week later when after footage was review by the NWA board of directors. The NWA reversed the referee’s decision because Terry threw Race over the top rope during the match. This was illegal in NWA championship matches at this time and Harley Race was champion again. (NOTE: This title change is not currently recognized by the National Wrestling Alliance or WWE.)
II. AWA World Title (1st): 4/18/82 in St. Paul, MN Hulk Hogan pinned Nick Bockwinkle to win his first AWA world title. Then six days later on 4/24/82 the AWA President Stanley Blackburn announced on TV that he was returning the title to Bockwinkle on the grounds that Hogan had used a foreign object during the match.
III. AWA World Title (2nd): 4/24/83 in Minneapolis, MN at the “Super Sunday” event Hulk Hogan pinned Nick Bockwinkle win the AWA Championship. AWA President Stanley Blackburn attempted to have Hogan disqualified for throwing Bockwinkle over the top rope. But since this was a no DQ match Blackburn could only strip Hogan of the title and return it to Bockwinkle.
(NOTE: These titles where not recognized by the AWA, excepted for briefly in 2007 during a failed restart of AWA that was ended after WWE sued in court; because WWE bought the AWA in 2003. WWE have never acknowledged this championship win.
IV. IWGP Championship: 6/2/83 in Tokyo, Japan at the IWGP World title tournament finale; Hulk Hogan defeated Antonio Inoki by knockout with the axe bomber to become the inaugural world champion of NJPW. On 6/14/84 Antonio Inoki defeated Hulk Hogan by countout to win the championship in a rematch. (NOTE: acknowledged by NJPW but not recognized as a “world title by WWE”).

This reign lasted one year and three months; ending on 10/29/95 in Detroit, MI at Halloween Havoc 1995 in controversy when The Giant defeated Hulk Hogan by disqualification. Hogan's Manager Jimmy Hart interfered and intentionally caused the DQ Because Hart secretly slipped in the stipulation into the match’s contract that the world title could be lost by disqualification and had secretly become the Giant’s manager. James J. Dillon noted that Hart failed to put in a stipulation that the Giant could WIN the title on a DQ; and vacated to world title.

Because of this controversy the title was declared vacated on 1/8/98 by the WCW Championship Committee. (NOTE: This win should count, but WWE and WCW both refused to acknowledge this championship win because Sting won the rematch at Superbrawl XVIII and considered Sting’s title reign uninterrupted after defeating Hollywood Hulk Hogan at Starrcade 1997.)

net worth
In September 2008, Hogan's net worth was revealed to be around $30 million. In September 2011, Hogan revealed that his lavish lifestyle and divorce had cost him hundreds of millions of dollars and nearly bankrupted him.
He had 30 million, of which he then lost several hundred million? That doesn't add up. Mantelmoewe (talk) 04:33, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
- I wonder if that should be called a claim regarding the 2011 sentence rather that using the word "revealed". I had a similar issue some hours ago where a source discussed a situation where Hogan made a claim, but our article was more definitive and said that something had happened. --Super Goku V (talk) 05:00, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
- Just to add, the meaning of the sentence to myself is that he "revealed" that his net worth was so low because of his lifestyle and his divorce. --Super Goku V (talk) 05:53, 25 July 2025 (UTC)

How did Hogan die?
From Cardiac arrest, but that will never be a case for another day. Sawbrimedline (talk) 20:40, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
Why is his status as one of the greatest not in the opening paragraph?
Current version only says he was "widely regarded as the most recognized wrestling star worldwide". But what about one of the greatest? There are plenty of citations from publications across the years naming him as such; regardless of personal feelings, I think it is just to say he was considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. Articles for Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, the Rock, John Cena, all say this, surely Hogan's lede should as well. 2604:3D09:6A8B:4B00:5122:84E:6B0E:8633 (talk) 20:46, 25 July 2025 (UTC)

Excerpt below:
Terry Gene Bollea[1][2] (/bəˈleɪə/; August 11, 1953 – July 24, 2025), better known by his ring name Hulk Hogan, was an American professional wrestler. He was best known for his work with WWE and World Championship Wrestling. Known for his charisma, massive physique, and his trademark blond horseshoe moustache and bandanas, Hogan was widely regarded as the most recognized wrestling star worldwide.[3][4]

Not done. Even if mentioned in published sources, this is still a matter of opinion and not a statement of fact. Consensus needs to be established before this can be included, especially as prominently as the LEDE. Also, please DO NOT hijack other people's edit requests. SI09 (talk) 11:56, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
- Why is the statement "greatest" included in the article ledes of John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Ric Flair, Steve Austin for instance? Can we fix this, or are we are going to continue to show bias here? 2604:3D09:9284:2500:895C:D323:B945:5FC9 (talk) 16:05, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
