It was founded in 20211 by Jacyn Heavens who also serves as the CEO of the company. It’s software can be operated from any device or platform with a web-browser or by using Epos Now's IOS or Android app. The company also offers payment hardware devices that are EMV and contactless-enabled.
History
Epos Now was founded by Jacyn Heavens in 2011, with its headquarters in Norwich, England, to provide point-of-sale and e-commerce software to retail and hospitality businesses. It has its offices in Norwich, England and Orlando, Florida [2]. It provides services to 47,000 retail and hospitality businesses worldwide. The company was founded with no external funding.
- Reason for the change: This is more up to date information on the company. The old copy contains untrue information such as ' During August 2021 notice was issued on companies house stating intent from The Registrar of Companies to strike off and dissolve the company.'

"It has locales in the UK, Ireland, America, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and Spain." <-- where is the citation? "It provides services to 47,000 retail and hospitality businesses worldwide" <-- citation ? "The company was founded with no external funding." <-- makes no sense, funding must have come from outside the company, even if from a director. Seems irrelevent? "The old copy contains untrue information such as ' During August 2021 notice was issued on companies house stating intent from The Registrar of Companies to strike off and dissolve the company.'" <-- this isn't untrue, it can be seen on companies house. although it is probably irrelevent now, since it has been cancelled.
All of the references/citations seem to come from PR pieces written/paid for by the company. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TomFromOverThere (talk • contribs) 11:54, 29 October 2021 (UTC)

- Hi Heartmusic678,
- I'm not sure I understand what the issues are with the new proposed document. We've completely simplified the copy and used relevant sources. In terms of the awards, these links are already in the copy on Wikipedia, so I'm not sure why they're not being approved now. Can you please advise? Tilliedee5 (talk) 14:45, 27 April 2022 (UTC)
- In refence to the Companies House listing, the striking off action is no longer relevant because it was discounted the same month https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/07666961/filing-history Tilliedee5 (talk) 17:38, 25 April 2022 (UTC)

editGiven that the only previously cited independent source (Reuters 2024) is now unavailable and most remaining references are promotional, should we consider re-nominating this article for deletion under WP:NCORP?
This article does not appear to meet the requirements of WP:NCORP or the WP:GNG.
The subject is a private UK point-of-sale software company with no sustained, in-depth coverage in multiple independent reliable sources. The article relies heavily on press releases, promotional material, and "business awards" of minimal encyclopedic value.
The only significant non-primary reference previously cited was a short Reuters “sources say” item (May 2024) regarding a potential minority stake sale. However, that link is now defunct and, even when available, it was a brief transaction rumour repeating an unverified valuation figure without independent corroboration or analysis.
Aside from that, the remaining citations are PR reprints, affiliate "review" blogs, and award announcements. None provide the level of independent, non-trivial coverage required for corporate notability.
The company’s Companies House filings show a modest scale inconsistent with the supposed billion-dollar valuation mentioned in that single rumour piece, underscoring that the Reuters claim was likely sourced from company promotion rather than verified reporting.
In the absence of multiple independent, reliable, secondary sources with significant depth, the article fails WP:NCORP.
Perhaps this should be deleted, or at least merged/redirect to a broader topic (Electronic_point_of_sale) TomFromOverThere (talk) 11:19, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
