Persephone's spouse

edit

"which, in the Orphic theogony, will lead to the birth of Demeter. Zeus would then have raped Demeter, who would have given birth to Persephone, who marries Dionysus" -- Is this accurate? Persephone is usually an underworld goddess, wife of Hades. Was there some other tradition with a radically different Persephone? The page on Dionysus suggests that in some traditions, Dionysus was Persephone's sibling or child but does not mention being a spouse.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.11.153.75 (talk) 06:23, 15 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Why does see also list vases

edit

The see also section relates to notable ancient drinking vessels, but that doesn't appear to be a major focus of the main article. Why are we directed to these articles?  Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2026-31823-9 (talk) 12:49, 15 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps someone was confusing the Derveni papyrus with the Derveni Krater? Whatever the case, they didn't need to be here, and I've removed them. Michael Aurel (talk) 00:59, 16 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
