Wendy Savino
editA few other sources have now picked up her story but they all rely on the New York Post. Best to leave her off until corroborated by the NYPD in a source which does not track back to the Post. –Skywatcher68 (talk) 16:08, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- I think it's probably safe to add it now. The recent 3 part Netflix documentary has Robert Klein, an NYPD detective, directly saying on camera that "It is the opinion of the investigators of the Bronx homicide squad and the Bronx District Attorney's office that David Berkowitz is responsible for the shooting of Wendy Savino" 99.231.109.181 (talk) 15:04, 14 August 2025 (UTC)
Legacy - Music
editThere is a mention missing from the Legacy - Music part. Nas mentioned Berkowitz on track 9 called "Represent" of his Illmatic XX album, quote: "But if I hit rock bottom, then I'ma be the Son of Sam" 2001:4C4E:181C:FE00:AC07:713C:C602:FD34 (talk) 14:45, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
Misnaming the dog
editIn the initial description, the dog’s name is given as “Sam,” but the article later correctly identifies that “Sam” was the name of Berkowitz’s neighbor who owned the dog. The dog’s name was Harvey. https://www.nytimes.com/1977/09/21/archives/notoriety-haunts-reallife-sam-reallife-sam-says-notoriety-is.html 2600:1700:B038:2EE0:C557:4390:7DE:E501 (talk) 14:57, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
Legacy- film
editIn Caddyshack when Lacey Underall visits Ty Webb at his house and Ty gives her a massage Lacey says he’s crazy and Ty replies that’s what they said about Son of Sam. Mcanjar (talk) 05:03, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
