I've tagged the article with the {{hoax}} tag. There are no references in the article, there was only an EL to some German language blog that misidentifies the French Alsatex back pack teargas dispenser as a flamethrower 40. The blogs cites a PDF file as a source but provides only a dead link. Anyone have any sources for the existence of this weapon? L0b0t (talk) 13:25, 26 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Umgebaute Flammenwerfer 40: Seit den 68er-Unruhen rsp. Anti-AKW-Protesten/Geländebesetzungen der 70er-Jahre verfügen verschiedene schweizer Polizeikorps über umgebaute Flammenwerfer ursprünglich aus dem Jahre 1940 (kein Witz! vgl. Votum von Rolf Urech in pdf-Ratsdebatte).
Wurden anlässlich der Startbahn-West-Proteste in der BRD auch schon an die deutsche Polizei ausgeliehen.

Diese umgebauten Flammenwerfer sind z.T. auch heute noch im Einsatz, z.B. bei der Kapo Aargau. Sie versprühen ein CN-Wasser-Gemisch ähnlich wie bei den "Wasserwerfern", wahrscheinlich theoretisch 0,5% CN (kann in der Praxis wie bei den "Wasserwerfern" beträchtlich schwanken).
