Description of suggested change: In note [a], please change "Per Human Rights Activists in Iran: 3,636 killed, including 1,221 military personnel, 1,701 civilians, and 714 unclassified[2]" to "Per Human Rights Activists in Iran: 3,636 killed, including 1,221 military personnel, 1,701 civilians (including at least 254 children), and 714 unclassified[2]". Explanation: the source specifies this statistic, and the wikipedia article says how many children other sources say.
Excessive refs/notes
editThis article has 200+ refs, which seems to be far more than required to supports its claims, and can only confuse readers, not to mention overwhelming WP's article formatting system. Please reexamine and discard those other thean the most well-accepted sources. If instead, each supports a distinct claim, then disaggregate the sources for single note and attach each source to the specific claims that it supports. The table alone has >80 references in multiple, confusing formats. I will consolidate.
Wrong general number for Israel
editIt should be 52, since 23 soldiers + 1 contractor (24) were killed, with 28 civilians also killed, yet it says 51. MySalsa22 (talk) 01:53, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
- Also, theres a link to the deleted page about servicemembers killed, that should be removed. MySalsa22 (talk) 01:56, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
- Update: 27 soldiers + 1 contractor (28 military) and 28 civilians, amounting to 56 casualties for Israel.
- As for to where it says 51 if someone is wondering, its on the Israel section specifically, 3rd paragraph MySalsa22 (talk) 02:40, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

Casualties of Palestine or West Bank
editSince this is being discussed in the context of the conflict with Iran and Iranian attacks on Israel, and since the conflict between Israel and Palestine is included in another Wikipedia page, I don't understand, aside from the incident at the beauty salon in Beit Awwa with 4 deaths and 13 injuries, the additional casualties listed in clashes between settlers and Palestinians and between Israelis and Palestinians who are already involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Moreover, even Al Jazeera and others only report this incident in Beit Awwa. ~2026-35090-14 (talk) 16:07, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
Israel kills people but Iran & Hezbollah kill Civilians ! The author is unfortunately not Equitable and Egalitarian which leads to his article being unreliable.
editwhen it comes to Iran attacking Israel and killing civilians, the author quotes :
As of June 17, this many civilians have been killed, then it goes into details by mentioning their ages, what they were doing before they have been killed, their relations like Wife and Husband, Old, young, etc.( Surely it is sad when civilians get killed and of course they deserve the publication about their death )
But when it comes to Israel attacking Iran and Lebanon and killing mass numbers of civilians the author somehow forgets the Standard and the vocabulary that he uses to describe or announce the killing of innocent civilians, so it just reads :
As of June 13, this many PEOPLE have been killed including 10 Hezbollah fighters, then it goes on with what seems to be kind of bragging and feeling proud of assassinating military personal with their entire family including women, children and even a few months old babies.
One should be impartial, analyze and review fairly, don't take pride in cowardly acts of violence and murder against the innocent school girls and boys. ~2026-34000-62 (talk) 18:06, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
Casualties by Citizenship
editMaybe we should separate those killed during the war itself from UN peacekeepers and foreign civilians, my idea is creating two separate parts on that table for each, as to not confuse those with the others (france, for an example, had 1 soldier killed during iranian attacks and the rest killed with UN)
Also, Qatar and Turkey should be included, with either an note or something like that related to the accident. MySalsa22 (talk) 19:13, 18 June 2026 (UTC)

On 18 March 2026, during a broader exchange of missile attacks in the [[2026 Iran war]], a missile struck a location next to a [[beauty salon]] in the town of [[Beit Awwa]] in the [[West Bank]], near [[Hebron]]. The strike killed four Palestinian women and injuring more than a dozen others. The incident was the first time a missile struck a territory controlled by the [[Palestinian Authority]] during the war.
Whilst the Palestinian Authority have stated it was "likely" an errant Israeli interceptor, multiple international media outlets have confirmed that the missile originated from Iran.

Including structural internal casualties (from localized ground clashes and settler violence) in the total figures for a state-on-state regional missile war creates an unverified, misleading synthesis. It implies to the reader that these West Bank deaths were caused by external missile strikes, which is factually false. Aside from the isolated tragedy of the 2026 Beit Awwa salon strike, all other West Bank ground casualties belong strictly to the pre-existing Israeli-Palestinian conflict framework, as officially tracked by UN OCHA. Leaving the data aggregated like this misleads the public and sanitizes the severe, independent gravity of the crisis on the ground in the West Bank by hiding it under the umbrella of an external war. Since I am an unregistered user and page protection prevents me from opening an RfC section myself, I ask you or another senior editor to either: 1. Fix this clear policy violation immediately as an uncontroversial correction. 2. Formally open the RfC section on this talk page on my behalf, so the community can vote on the separation of these datasets.~2026-30628-51 (talk) 13:37, 21 June 2026 (UTC) | |

21 June 2026 Ras Laffan Industrial City explosion casualties
editWhy are those listed here as a result of the war? It was an industrial accident at a local supply plant which had been closed for maintenance since December 2025, not March as the editor claims in the Qatar specific article, and restarted 2 days ago. Nothing to do with the conflict, as confirmed by the authorities. What are we gonna do next, list victims of housefires and road accidents in any of those countries? ~2026-36371-06 (talk) 00:21, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
Hengaw and Iran International are bad, unreliable sources.
editI request the removal of all these links and texts relating to them from this article.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_2026_Iran_war#cite_note-Hengaw-65 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_2026_Iran_war#cite_note-64 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_2026_Iran_war#cite_note-68 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_2026_Iran_war#cite_note-67 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_2026_Iran_war#cite_note-Air_campaign_in_Iranian_Kurdistan_Hengaw-20260304-66
Hengaw is a Kurdish organization that supports Kurdish separatist movements seeking to overthrow the Islamic Republic of Iran. The figures it announced on March 17 concerning Iranian military losses are completely absurd and based on no sound methodology. The same is true of Iran International, a monarchist opposition media outlet funded by Saudi Arabia until 2023 and now collaborating with Israel. Among the false or unverified information disseminated by Iran International in recent months are: "Ali Khamenei will go into exile in Russia because of the January 2026 riots," "Abbas Aragchi has taken his family to safety in Lebanon," and "50,000 Revolutionary Guards are preparing to desert and support Reza Pahlavi."
The most reliable sources report between 3,486 and 3,800 Iranian deaths, including both civilians and military personnel. Regarding military losses, the NGO HRANA (Human Rights Activists News Agency), which does remarkable work (it is an authoritative source on Iranian losses during the Twelve Day War) and applies a highly rigorous methodology, confirms a number of Iranian military deaths between 1,221 and 1,935.
More specifically, according to HRANA: (Military losses: 1,221 people). Unclassified losses (civilians and military): 714 people. Civilian casualties: 1,701 people (including at least 254 children).
HRANA also reports on all human rights violations in Iran and documents the repression with precise and meticulous work regarding the number of arrests and executions each day, and therefore cannot be accused of having a pro-Islamic Republic of Iran bias.
The BBC mentions 2,008 deaths among Iranian military personnel in the link below:

Accidental and unrelated deaths
editHello all, i think we should add notes to the casualties table about the deaths caused by natural causes and accidents unrelated to the war, especially relating to the US, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the UK - all of which had at least 1 dead in mostly (or partially) unrelated events (helicopter crashes, "medical emergencies", friendly fire and/or training accidents).
